I need inspiration.
I will begin painting our new (to us, anyway) house on Monday, and we move in the following Saturday. I've picked out colors for every room I plan to paint, except our bedroom.
Living room and dining room (almost one open area) will be SW Gossamer Veil with an accent wall in SW Elephant Ear. Couches are Ashley Darcy in Cobblestone.
I might paint the kitchen Gossamer Veil, too. Kitchen has chestnut cabinets, a dark green flecked countertop, and sand-colored tile.
Everything downstairs is very neutral, I want to add some color upstairs. The master bath is already a pretty bright blue, not repainting that.
It's a small-ish room, but has a decent-sized bay window so it gets a lot of natural light. I would ordinarily try to coordinate with our bedding, but our previous set was cheap and is already thin and pilling, so I'm shopping for something new.
There will also be color in DS' room -- it will be Star Wars themed with navy blue around the top third of the wall and lighter blue around the bottom two-thirds.
The third bedroom will be my office since I work at home full-time now, and will be Ben Moore "Surf Blue" on the bottom half and Ben Moore "Calm" on the top half.
My old bedroom was a very dark grey with lots of white trim. I loved it. My current bedroom is mega greige and the majority of my house is agreeable gray. I live in a craftsmen house that can be dark so I went brighter elsewhere.
Personally I love darker moodier walls in master bedrooms. I am an interior designer so think color all day long.
I love most of our paint colors: Primary bedroom: SW Versatile Gray Bedroom 1: SW Popular Gray Guest/Office: SW Sea Salt Old house primary bedroom: SW Contented.
I'm in the same boat! Our bedroom now is a BM sage green color (I looked on Pinterest and can't find the paint color anywhere on my decorating board). We're currently redecorating our bedroom and bought a very large, bold statement piece of art so I need a more subtle color than what we currently have, and I don't want white walls. Do you have any decor in mind? That's where I usually start.
It doesn't sound like you are looking for this color, but ours is BM French Macron. It's a really lovely creamy color. I wanted yellow but decided I didn't want it to be crazy bright, so I went with something that has a yellow tone but is much more calm.
Our main level is BM Violet Dusk, which actually reads more blue to me in our house but has a purple tone. It is fairly neutral but I think a little more colorful than a true neutral?

Well my bedroom is SW repose grey, which I love. But if you are looking for something bolder, we just painted our dining room SW endless sea and I’m obsessed with it.
My entire house is shades of green, LOL! Our downstairs is BM Hancock Green and I love it. Our bedroom is a neutral greige with a darker, sage green accent wall. I find shades of green calming.
I was hesitant when H suggested dark green, but I love it. We have walnut furniture, natural linen quilt, caramel coloured sheets, white linen curtains, black/cream wool rug. We have a large window with good light so during the day it is warm and bright. At night it is cozy and moody.
We rent, so the bedroom is kind of an off white with yellow undertones. Not quite beige (lighter) but definitely not gray and all around completely boring.
We painted our last bedroom a dark coastal type blue, and I loved it. We need some art or something in our current bedroom because it is so bland 😵
Our entire house was painted SW Macadamia when we bought it. The builders used flat paint (hate it) so we've slowly been repainting. The house is open concept, though, so the kitchen/family room, stairway, and loft area upstairs will almost certainly stay that color.
Our living/dining room is SW Perfect Greige. The powder room on the first floor (just off the dining room) is an eggplant purple (can't remember the name). The kids' bathroom upstairs is a bright green.
I have plans later this month to paint our bedroom (large, good light, tray ceiling) in SW Urbane Bronze and DS's bedroom SW Naval (can't get a link to work).
Future plans include painting our bathroom and the laundry room, but I haven't decided on colors yet.
Ooh paint colors. A favorite topic for me to nerd out about. (None of these pics are actually mine, but they're ones that I think look pretty true to how it looks in my house IRL.)
Our MBR is currently SW Tidewater.
In our last house, it was SW Sandbar:
We had the same tan and aqua bedding in both houses, and I prefer the Tidewater. It just makes me happier.
We moved almost exactly a year ago, and I've painted our entire house except part of the kitchen and laundry room by now. Every single room myself. It's been so much work! But the space feels so much more ours now.
So far in this house we've used: - SW Tidewater - our room - SW Peach Fuzz - guest room - SW Open Air - DS's room - SW Silver Peony - DD's room and the upstairs hall bath - SW Moody Blue - Dining room - SW Rainwashed - Office - SW Worldly Gray - Family room, foyer, powder room, kitchen, laundry room (eventually), stairs, upstairs hall, master bath
We just moved in and the bedroom is a light blue. I feel like it might be close to SW Sleepy Hollow. Our comforter is cream and it looks nice together.
