All inclusive resort in Antigua. It was beautiful and exactly what we needed/wanted after a stressful wedding. I would love to go again someday, but I don't remember the name of the resort now š
Dublin because weād never been. And then it sort of changed the course of everything.
oooh, this sounds like a good story.
Probably more interesting to me than anyone else š¤£
My DH was getting his masters and was prepping for the exam after his two years. But he was so inspired in Ireland, that he opted to do a third year and dissertation and ultimately study Irish writings after the Celtic Tiger and globalism.
Cancun adults only all inclusive because it was cheap and we were young and poor lol. I would definitely do it again though, it was so relaxing and I loved not having to plan anything.
This, except the resort was in Playa and we weren't that young! It was great to be at an all inclusive and not have to worry about anything after wedding stress.
This only we went to the Dominican Republic. We basically went to a travel agent and said what is the cheapest all inclusive you can find us with a short direct flight from our home airport and that is where we landed. It was definitely nice though.
First time - Secrets in Riviera Maya. Because it was what you did in 2010 lol
literally word for word this. I was NOT a fan. I mean, I liked the gorgeous tropical part and the relaxing by the pool/beach, but it basically turned us off AIs and we have never been back to one since.
We did a road trip. We were living in Mass at the time and drove to Nashville, stopped in W. Virginia for a night, then stayed in Nashville for 3 nights.
From there, we drove over to Myrtle beach for about 4 nights.
We decided on this because we had a longer chunk of time off, we were limited on money since we paid for our wedding ourselves for the most part. And those were places we had wanted to explore.
We had a destination wedding in Key West and stayed there a week but then did our official honeymoon 6m later and went to Belize for 10 days. 3 days in the jungle at Chaa Creek and a week at Victoria House on the beach. I loved it and we hope to go back for an anniversary some day.

Jamaica because we won a āfreeā honeymoon to Secrets from Brides.com. Free is in quotes because we had to pay for our airfare and we added three nights on to the four nights trip they gave us.
We did a few days in Charleston and a few days in Hilton Head. I would love to go back to where we stayed in Charleston - we have a timeshare and it was in a really great location. Hilton Head was just ok it seemed a little uptight to me for some reason. The best part was that we had an amazing dinner in a light house on New Years Eve. We got married at the beginning of Dec and delayed our honeymoon a few weeks because I'm always off between Christmas and New Years so we had Christmas with stepson and then hit the road.
I'm a fan of Disney and have been to both World and Land but it didn't speak to me as a honeymoon location. I personally love it more with my kid - though there were definite perks to the slower pace of doing it with just adults!
We did a cruise out of San Juan, PR and spent a couple extra days in old San Juan before the cruise. I did not want to have to do anything except decide if I wanted the drink of the day or not. Our wedding ended up being extremely stressful due to DH's family, so I was glad we just had relaxation planned.
We did 3 or 4 days at a spa/resort in Sedona - a friend of H's managed the property and got is the "friends and family" discount. We got married the weekend before Thanksgiving, so it was a short trip so that we could be back for the holiday.
We took a cruise on our first anniversary. Went to the Caribbean in November. It was fine, but I don't ever feel the need to cruise again.

First marriage: San Francisco and Napa
This marriage: we did two trips we consider honeymoons in our first year of marriage. A couple weeks after the wedding we went to Carmel, SF, and Tahoe for a week. Then in the winter we went to the Big Island and Oahu for 10 days
Iām secretly amused my honeymoon both included SF. And Iāve never been to Disneyworld
Disneyland in Anaheim, CA. We love roller coasters, pure & simple. We'd get a fast pass and then wait in line for the same ride so by the time we actually finished our ride on the roller coaster it was time to immediately get in line for the same ride with our fast pass.
We went to Madrid and Lisbon, mostly because we found an insane deal on round-trip tickets to Madrid. It was great!
We originally thought about/planned to go to Quebec because we thought it might be cheaper, but at the time (2011) it would have been way more expensive for us to go there than it was to go to Iberia.
