I hate all things Disney. It's just not my thing and I have a viseral reaction to it sometimes. We went once, with kids, and that was the last time I will step foot on Disney property, lol.
"Hello babies. Welcome to Earth. It's hot in the summer and cold in the winter. It's round and wet and crowded. On the outside, babies, you've got a hundred years here. There's only one rule that I know of, babies-"God damn it, you've got to be kind.”

This, exactly. I actually get a panicky feeling in my body when I read about how much thought, planning and money people put into Disney.
I used to be judgmental about it but I started to subscribe to the school of thought that if something is bringing a person joy and it’s not hurting anyone else to just let it be. Who am I to judge?

I haven't been in a few years but its hands down the best guest experience, parks are always clean, you can go to the first aid station and they will help you with anything you need, the employees really seem to try to make the visits special. Contrasted with universal, and legoland which were dirty in comparison.

I like Disneyland but don't really care about Disneyworld. I went to DL a lot growing up (It was 6 hours away so all band/church/etc trips were to Disney). I have a lot of really good memories. We took the kids last year on our first post covid trip and it was honestly amazing. It was just nice to forget about things and be in the sunshine and warmth (it was February we and it had been cold and gray forever back home).
We are going one more time this year (back to DL) but then I can't really see us going. I refuse to go during any school breaks due to crowds and don't want to ever go during the summer so it basically really limits us. I should add we are only going back this year because I think this is the last year we can pull DS1 out of school for more than a day. But we are also lucky to be able to take multiple vacations a year.
I am not Disney obsessed but when you are kids that can walk 10 miles a day no complaint and you never wait more than 20 minutes in a ride and eat lots of delicious food it makes for a pretty fun day.

I guess I’m somewhere between the first two options. I enjoy it, and have gone as both a childless adult and with the kids, but there’s so much we want to do and see in the world that we will only go every five years or so. If we had unlimited money and unlimited vacation time I’d have no problem going yearly.

I'm here. I've been a few times and had a great time. It's not the first destination I think of when I want to plan a trip, but given the time and money, yeah, I'd love to go again.

We have gone a few times to WDW. Once when DS1 was 14 months and then when DS1 was 6 and DS2 was 3. We are going to Disneyland the first week of January as part of a trip to California. The boys are now 9 and 6.
We like it enough. We may do WDW one more time when they are a little older and that will be it. I am nervous about how things will go post-Covid. I hate Genie+ in theory (haven’t used it yet) and feel like I will be on my phone the whole time, rather than trying to enjoy the parks.

Same. I needed an option between the 1st two.
I enjoy it both with and without kids but geographically I can't go often.
I don’t really fit any of those categories. I went at 18 w/ my h.s class for Disneyland grad night. I spent most of the time at the medical facility there as a friend was having an asthma attack. I think I rode two maybe three rides. I didn’t even get my free character photo. I have never been back. I don’t have children to take there & probably would rather go to about 500 other places first. So I guess I am closest to that answer. I’m sure I would enjoy the experience but I live much further away now and I think it’s rather overpriced.
I’ve been twice for conferences that were held there. It was fun and very cheap (my conference fee of $400 included staying at the Grand Floridian for four nights, passes to all the parks, several meals, behind the scenes events etc) and I could bring a guest. One year it was during the flower event and that was really nice. The flower displays were so elaborate and pretty! The second time we went nothing special was going on and that wasn’t quite as fun.
I can’t see spending a ton of money to go there though. We don’t have kids and neither of us are ride people. I think we went on maybe 2 rides? Epcot was fun because of the food and drink.
If I ever went back for some reason I’d want to do it during food and wine or whatever that event is called. That looks fun but it’s not enough for me to make a special effort and fly there.
None of those options really fit. We enjoy Disney a lot and have gone several times in the past 6 years. We always have the best time and DD loves it. After our next trip we are taking a break though. It’s getting very expensive and there are other things we want to do.
I love going to Disney! I’m a huge parks fan, but I’m not into Disney when I’m not there (I don’t own Mickey gear, etc l. I grew up in Southern California so we went 1-2 times a year as a kid and it holds a lot of good memories. My parents now live in Florida so we take the kids to Disney world every 2 years or so. The kids have so much fun and it’s just the best.
This last trip we went in April for DS1’s birthday and for a variety of reasons sprang for the VIP tour where a cast member takes you around and you skip all the lines/go in secret entrances. It was one of the greatest experiences of my life lol, but now I don’t think I can ever go back to Disney and wait in lines again!
I will also never do a Disney cruise. I am anti cruise.

Omg we went to Legoland for the first time last year and it was so dirty! And the food was revolting. Too bad DS2 loved it. I’m hoping to avoid a return trip
I went to Disneyland once as a kid, and we’ve been once with our at the time 5 year old. We’ll go back in a couple years when our 2nd kid is 5. I’m not a Disney person at all, I don’t think I own a single piece of Disney merchandise, but it was hands down our best family vacation. Like someone else said, the guest experience is so good compared to other theme parks, I felt totally safe, and they just make it easy for families. If we had more money and time we would probably go more frequently, but there are also lots of other places I want my family to experience so it’s not at the top of my list to return to.

somewhere between "huge fan, visit a few times a year" and "it's ok". I've been 5 times at various stages of life and always had a great time. I hadn't been in many years but just got back from taking my 3 year old for a really quick visit. We barely broke the surface of what disney parks offer and definetly plan on going back within 1-2 years (but not asap). I don't think we will ever be yearly Disney vistors but can envision another trip or two depending on my daughter's interests in a few years.

The legoland in CA is so bad. My kids freaking love that place though so we go once or twice a year.
None of the food is good and it’s more expensive than Disney. The rides are kinda janky and definitely need a sprucing up.
I do really like the submarine ride with the fish though lol.
Yeah I need a middle option too. DH and I went for a bunch of years in a row relatively early in our relationship and we loved it. But since having DS we have only gone once, when he was 4 and my mom was able to come along to be a 3rd adult/babysitter. I enjoyed it with DS and would love to go with him again...or shoot to go without him even but it's just gotten so expensive and so crazy with their add ons and magic bands and idk what else they have going on. It was already expensive to begin with. As DH likes to say "there's no business value".
Oh, I forgot that at my Grad Night the highlight was No Doubt playing lol (Tragic Kingdom was released a few months later and they were still doing smaller venue touring in So Ca, so we knew them but bo one else really did). Disney Memories….
I should add that I don’t like amusement parks, crowds, waiting in line, being hot, parades, or themed paraphernalia in general. It’s really nothing personal against Disney as I enjoy their movies and I found the staff (cast members?) lovely and our hotel was very nice sans the theatrics involved in needing ketchup.
Another one that needs an option between the first two.
My parents never had the means to take me as a kid. I went for the first time when I was 21 with DH's (then BF) extended family trip. I went another time a few years later with friends (no kids) and had a blast.
We haven't taken our kids yet because pre-covid, we did not have that type of vacation money with daycare tuition x2. Now they're out of daycare, but Covid happened, now we need to work around school schedules, etc. I hope to take them next year, and maybe another 2-3 times while they still live at home. I really want them to experience Disney as a kid since I never got that chance. But I can't see going yearly as we have other vacations we'd prefer to prioritize.

We've never been to DW, but have a trip planned for May of next year. We were supposed to actually go this last week, but Hurricane Ian had other plans. The kids really want to go, I had some inheritance money that I wasn't expecting, and we can afford it outside of that fact. They are only this little once, and they haven't been on a 'real' vacation since DD was 18 months old (now 11), and DS has never been on an airplane.
We're not 'Disney people', but we enjoy things that they do, DH is a huge Marvel fan, and I know the kids want to go. This will probably be the biggest vacation we take until they're teenagers, when we plan to travel to Europe.
I chose the first option, but I also need something between that and the 2nd one! We went almost yearly when I was a kid. In high school or so, I stopped enjoying it (of course). As I got older, I wanted to go back, and I enjoy it again. But part of it is also bringing people for the first time. My H went for the first time in 2014, before we had kids. We brought E to Disneyland before he was 2 so he doesn't really remember it. Did a Disney cruise early 2020 with the kids, and we're going with the kids to WDW in Jan. Disclaimer that all of these trips have been mostly planned (and paid for) by my mom, so I luckily haven't had the stress of the planning myself. I don't think I'd take the kids without the extra help to be honest! But I'm excited for them to see everything and see the new things myself.

Agreed there needs to be a 1.5 option. I've been to 4 out of 6 parks so far and will eventually go to the other two. It's actually the least-stressful travel I do, but I don't have kids so that's a huge factor. My sister and I actually have a "Disney Bucket List" of things we want to do in our lifetime and we are working our way through.

I voted for the first option, because I do love going to Disney World, but we only go about once every 4 years. I also love it when I’m there, but I’m not a “Disney adult.”
