My partner loves the holiday ones. He thinks they're fresher than normal reese's.... I don't notice a difference but I agree they are delicious. I grab him a bag or two every holiday.
My favorite of the mini shapes is the 3D bell. I can't always find them (due to trees and stockings and whatever other crappier shapes are lurking that year). Mini eggs are up there, though!
I honestly don't have a preference on the bigger ones, they're just all the same to me.
I like the unwrapped mini ones, but they definitely changed the recipe for the next size up, the ones with the foil wrapping. Those are not good anymore. So your best bet is sizing up to snack size lol. Then there's the peanut butter bar they make which is so good and big it takes multiple days to eat.
I'll take whatever holiday shape I can get, I don't think I have a favorite.
I like the regular ones better. They have a better chocolate to filling ratio and don’t seem to have as much greasy waxy coating. But. I tend to avoid them because the flakes of chocolate that fall off when you take the black wrapper off annoy me. And the cup bottom always gets stuck to that paper.
I prefer the ratio of the bit-sized Reese’s cups. The Thins have slightly more chocolate than I prefer. Trees and pumpkins and what not have too much PB. Footballs are close.
Too much PB. Also, I'm tired of stale Reese's on Halloween. What is the point of charging the parent tax if the candy you take isn't even that good?!?!
I wish they made the holiday ones in dark chocolate because I do think they are fresher tasting but I don’t like the milk chocolate at all. Either size dark chocolate is fine with me especially if it’s in seasonal wrapping.
I need ham like water Like breath, like rain I need ham like mercy From Heaven's gate Sometimes ham salad or casserole or ham that’s free range, all natural I need ham
I don't want to say there is too much PB because I think the level of PB is okay BUT I think the chocolate on the holiday shapes is too thin. For the regular reeses cup there is a bit of a bite/snap to the chocolate, and I feel like in the holiday ones the chocolate is soft and doesn't snap and therefore is not as good.
Eggs, then tree, then pumpkins. But honestly, all holiday shapes are far superior to any other kind of resse’s. And any Reese’s is far superior to other candy. It’s the peanut butter than does for me. I could (and sometimes do) live on peanut butter.

I prefer the shapes to the regular BECAUSE of the peanut butter to chocolate ratio. More peanut butter with a thinner layer of chocolate is just right. That being said, I definitely still eat the regular cups too. One time I was at the checkout line in Walmart and saw some guy stocking up on the football shaped ones. He was like, they're marked down to 50 cents a piece! I didn't even know there were football shaped ones, so you bet I grabbed a bunch.
Also, DH really liked the Snickers nutcrackers and he turned me on to them as well. His mom would always give him some for Christmas. I think they have since been discontinued because I can never find them anymore.
