Expensive purses. I cannot fathom dropping a car payment or more on a purse, especially since my bags seem to collect nothing but old receipts, broken crayons, hair ties, rogue pieces of gum that fall out of their wrapper, etc. It’s nasty in there, lol.
LOL: I had to google a temperature blanket and they sound cool! Completely unnecessary, but they look pretty.
Mine is collecting things, like baseball cards, coins, figurines, etc. Maybe it is because I have a small house and limited money, but I don’t get it. 🤷🏽♀️
Also watching sports, like football. Why are people so obsessed with it? I work in a male dominated field and man, the number of boring conversations I’ve been stuck in about the local sports teams is overwhelming. Another reason I love WFH LOL.
Luxury car interiors. My eyes will be on the road, not on the quilted leather dashboard. I'm buying transportation, not "lines and curves to eye-catching, minimalist effect".
I'm going to be disappointed in myself if I inspired people to make temperature blankets. LOL!
Well you reminded me that I haven't worked on mine in a couple of months, so when I pick it up again tomorrow I'll think of you!
I don't understand the appeal of 99.9% of video games. Maybe it's because when I've tried playing them I tend to die a lot/quickly, but the repetitive nature of a lot of them just bores me.
I actually don’t understand water bottles in general. I hate carrying something around in my hands. I’m never so thirsty that I need water at a moment’s notice.
I’m an 80s kid who went all day without water, though. I was bred to be a camel.
You don’t want to track climate change via yarn each year?? I almost would think you’d be into it.
I don’t understand when people make temperature blankets and do the average temperature of the day! That drives me bonkers.
I think that's why I *don't* want to do it, because climate change means it will mostly be the hotter colors. Although using acrylic yarn to track climate change temperatures has an absurd irony.
I didn't realize there was a subcategory to these blankets, and that people aren't just using the high temperature. I'm getting in too deep now.

I have seen some seriously cool ones in FB groups. I agree the average doesn't make sense to me. I saw someone do a rug, a snake, a blanket that looked like a literal calendar, and someone who did a color change each day for the high and low (my gosh at the work).

I just got an ad for a temperature quilt! Because blankets aren't enough.

I did 16 different colors (each 5 degrees is a new color) plus glow yarn for snow and a special sparkle yarn for special birthdays. Mine has a lot of variation. I did a lot of secondary and tertiary colors so it's not just blue/red. Like greens, purples, pinks, orange.

Real fiber artists use wool lol
Some people make a square a day with the lowest and highest represented and that makes sense. A lot of people do the average though! That makes my temperature rise.

I think that is the way! I see some that have even used the same color for a 20 degree range and that is so boring.

I feel like this about luxury cars in general. My Honda is perfectly comfortable and efficient. My sister has a $$$ Land Rover and i don't understand why it cost 4x my car. We live in Massachusetts, not the Scottish Highlands.
