I've been getting migraines since Wednesday. Any suggestions on how to pull out of this cycle? It's obviously just one migraine, but I've never had one for this long before.
Me, too. It sucks. For me, it's tied to weather changes. I have a freezeable face roller thing I got from Amazon that offers some relief. And an eye massager mask thing. And Advil/coffee combo.
H and DS tried to go skiing today and it was a total disaster. We just got our first significant snowfall in 2 years and the mountain was not prepared at all-- no staffing, no one monitoring the lines, hour+ waits for the lift. It was apparently complete chaos. They gave up after a few hours and came home.
I have been entertaining myself all afternoon by monitoring their Google reviews and Facebook page.
Bright side: one of the reviews mentioned that they got a refund so I tried an online chat and got credit for both tickets. DS will go there a few more times this year so worked out for us.
It's a pretty lazy day overall. I slept in until almost 11 am.
We're doing laundry, I did my usual Sunday restorative yoga, and I'm going to start on the NYTimes puzzles from December in a bit (my friend bought it for me), but currently we're watching the Seahawks game. We're also having leftovers for dinner, so I don't have to cook either.
I do need to do some meal planning though. We're on the verge of snow/no snow for next week on Thursday, and I want to make sure that if we do get snow I don't have to go anywhere. Where we are "a trace to an inch" can sometimes turn into 5 inches because of the convergence zones. It might also turn out to be absolutely nothing, but it's easier to go on Tuesday afternoon when I'll already be out for appointments than Wednesday or Thursday when people are freaking out.
Tomorrow is my first day back since 12/20. I am really not looking forward to it…
Me too! I'm looking forward to the idea of being back in routine (and L being back in daycare), but between being tired from travel and needing to get groceries, laundry, unpack, etc the idea of also using my brain for work sounds very difficult. Tomorrow may not be my most productive day as an employee.
We spent the day ice skating and sledding, it was a lot of fun. When we finally got home around 4:30pm my DD says “what else are we going to do today?” and I almost combusted. Girl, don't you dare.

LOL we had the same day (sledding/playing outside all morning in the snow and ice skating lessons after lunch) and I was exhausted by 4 PM! Then it was movie time.

Haha yes I sent them both down to the basement to watch a movie, too. I’m cooked.

Hope you feel better soon.
I'm in a migraine cycle right now and my neurologist just had me do a steroid taper. It's weather related and won't go away. 😔
Anyway, some tricks that help me as a chronic migraine gal: Ice roller Ice cap 3 ibuprofen and 2 Tylenol at once Sleep Triptan Sometimes a behind the counter Sudafed will help Lots of water Regular intake of coq10, riboflavin, d and b vitamins (magnesium is great, but my stomach can't handle it)
