Went to Chipotle for the first time in a long time and not sure how to proceed. Got a veggie burrito bowl and everything but the rice was perfect and I got it to go. Great service too. The guacamole was really fresh. The rice was way undercooked. Only $10 and I ate it anyway since I didn’t have time to go back before work. So do I: A. Nothing B. Next time I’m in ask for credit for half the bill or even a few dollars C. Ask for refund

I’d probably do nothing. But in the past I have submitted a comment via the customer service in the app, just as a “hey, might want to talk to them to improve.” One time it even resulted in a tour of the restaurant prior to opening and the opportunity to make my own bowl
Ok douche, go ahead and call it mud. My husband DID have halitosis. We addressed it after I talked to you girls on here and guess what? Years later, no problem. Mofongo, you're a cunt. Eat shit. ~anonnamus
Do nothing from what you suggested. I usually send a nice comment explaining what the issue was and most of the time, they send a coupon for a free lunch or free something.

I would do nothing since it was to-go and not noticed in the restaurant. I would also be disappointed because I hate getting carry out home and realizing something was wrong or not cooked well. But unless I was going to go back and/or call right then, I would just let it go. Or like others mentioned, send a comment through their online webform if you wanted to (I would probably do that today or tomorrow so it's still pretty recent).
Nothing, if you ate the whole thing. You can’t eat it all and then get a refund I feel. The only option would be to return it then, uneaten and asked for a refund or a new bowl with different rice.
The time to bring it up was when you got it, but I'm assuming you were long gone before you figured it out. Assuming you got it today you could call and let them know, since they probably had a big batch of under cooked rice and lots of orders were messed up....maybe they will offer you something, maybe not.
I wouldn't bring it up next time because they will have no idea what you are talking about and I would personally be worried that they would think I was making it up.

Chipoltle has decent customer service. You can contact them and most likely they will give you a free meal. We ordered thru the app for deliver a a few months ago and DS ordered double chicken and it wasn’t even the normal portion so I contacted them and they gave me a code for a free meal

Like Judge Judy says "You ate the steak!!" LOL
I agree with this & the others that say do nothing but probably be a while before going back

I feel like the only time I'm bothered enough to contact a quick service type restaurant about something is if I get home and something is missing from my order, and even then, it has to be more than fries (when we had ordered multiple and 1 is missing) or a drink we didn't want anyway (both of those happened recently). I would do nothing.

If I have issues with Chipotle I just email customer service. They will credit your rewards account for a free whatever it was an issue with. Not really free since you paid for it. If you ate it I wouldn’t really do anything, but if you couldn’t eat most of the meal because of the undercooked rice I would for sure reach out.

I can totally hear her voice saying this. I love JJ.
OP, I’d do nothing. Unless something is utterly inedible, I just chalk it up to the iffy-ness that is fast food. If it was inedible, I’d have contacted the store immediately upon discovering the problem.

Thanks all, I am going to do nothing since I ate it. I was pressed for time and didn’t realize the rice was undercooked until I was in the office. Appreciate the tips and I agree I could fill out the survey at some point if I had time the same day. I also won’t rush back. I could have let them know about the batch but I didn’t have time
I'd report the less than satisfactory experience via the contact on the website. If they get other issues from that day at the location, corporate might contact them to correct it. It doesn't matter if you ate it or threw it in the trash--it wasn't made right.

I’m actually surprised at the number of people who would do nothing in this situation. Definitely fill out the survey or contact customer service. This gives them an opportunity to fix the problem in the future. The fact that you ate it has nothing to do with it. You did so because you didn’t have time to correct the problem and needed to eat, I’m sure if you had the time you would have gone back. You’re absolutely entitled to a credit for having to eat crappy rice.

The plot thickens. LOL! I definitely did not have time to return it. If I had, I would have taken it back.
And yes this is not something I am going to leave the board for. I know it’s all in good fun—especially because my OP is mostly tongue in cheek too.
