Gosh, if I found a GBCN'er that was in my industry, liked the same books, sent the same texts, liked the same TV shows, listened to the same music, graduated in the same month, was the same age, and held the same personal beliefs, we would totally be besties.
What's wrong with being friends with someone that has ALL the same likes as you? It's like a match made in GBCN heaven!
So, I'd like to find my GBCN twin/bestie.
I'm a scientist (ton of those here.) I read YA fiction, because I like mindless stuff that I don't have to think about. I read complicated stuff at work. Last three books read: Insurgent (divergent series,) Girl who kicked the Hornets' Nest, and 11/23/63. I don't sext anymore. Used to when we lived apart and actually gave a shit about sex. Old: Bones, HIMYM, Big Bang Theory, Storage Wars, Pawn Stars. New: Revolution, Mob Boss, Last Resort Currently listening to Candlebox, RHCP, and that stupid dubstep song on the radio I can't get out of my head. Graduated spring 2010, and I'm on the late end of 24. Atheist.
ETA: other qualities that may help me find my match.
Love dogs, allergic to cats. Sleep on the left side of the bed if you're looking at it, right if you're laying on it. Hate coffee. Tea FTW.
I vote for RBP for you, though I am sad to report that you do not have nearly as much in common as bliss and zombiemuse do. Still, I think you could get along.
32 married female. East Coast liberal. 420 friendly. Fertility treatments. Way too much YA dystopia. Former beat poet. Aspiring novelist. Working for the gov. Attorney. Cat lover. Fat. 25+ shows a year.

FWIW, also a scientist in terms of college major (biology) but don't use it at all (insurance sales). 28, married 4.5 years, like happy romantic fiction except the YA book I mentioned earlier, nothing too dark. 1 small dog, no kids yet (TTC).
ETA: favorite shows currently on the air: HIMYM, TBBT, Revenge, Grimm, Once Upon A Time, Covert Affairs, Suits. Favorite show of all time, Gilmore Girls. Favorite movies: The Cutting Edge, Oceans 11, Top Gun.
Future librarian (but have worked in one forever) One and done, kid wise 31 years old I really, really like cars (especially fast ones, vroom!) I watch reruns of Golden Girls and Friends. Oh, and Frasier. According to my local board, I have really bad taste in shoes. (why in the hell did I write cars there? duh!) I love haunted houses, Halloween, scary movies. Basically, anything scary.
ETA: and cat lover, but that's probably pretty obvious.

I can't argue with this. I am obviously a scientist and have the same views on reading for pleasure (though I do read the occasional nonfiction book a la Malcolm Gladwell). I am reading 11/22/63 now!

I hate HATE scary stuff. Like, I can't watch scary movies when its dark. I have a night light in every room of my house. I close my eyes during the dark parts of rides in theme parks.

Is it taking you FOREVER to get through? I'm on page 400 something and I'm terrified he's going to start the whole thing over again, lol.

I really wanted zombiemuse to be real to increase the number of non-marrieds around here.
Mid 20's, glorified admin asst with a history degree, concentration in 20th century america, minor in public admin, I don't demand that you be unmarried, just be understanding. If anyone else likes cooking, pinterest, too much time on netflix, and/or the sims, hit me up. Former band geeks welcome!
Editor I like reading historical biographies and non-fiction TV: HIMYM, Futurama, Big Bang Theory; don't like trashy TV I've driven states away for the Mighty Mighty Bosstones. Recently saw Springsteen, Pearl Jam, Metallica I don't really like going to the movies. I like Mel Brooks movies though. married 2.5 years, two cats, no kids right now turning 29 next week Raised Catholic, but I'm not quite sure what I believe anymore

DH and I met in marching band my freshman year.
Love cooking, but I never got into sims. I do like other video games. Pinterest is amazing.

Me, me! I'm an engineer, read way too much YA fiction. Haven't read Insurgent or 11/23/63, but the Girl Who Kicked the Hornets' Nest is on my list to read. Currently re-reading the Wheel of Time series for the 4th or 5th time in preparation of A Memory of Light coming out next year. Never sexted. Love HIMYM and Big Bang Theory. Just started watching Revolution and Last Resort. How do you feel about Fringe, Castle, Firefly, and any Star Trek (except Enterprise)? Music isn't a match though, I mostly do classical and musical theatre. Graduated Spring 2009, young end of 23. Atheist. Like dogs (wish I had one but don't have the time), allergic to cats. Sleep on the left side of the bed. Generally don't drink coffee, but drink lots of tea. Recently married.
