I'm much too cheap to buy books unless it's something I know I'll love, but being in school I haven't really managed to read any books as of late. I used to go at least every other week.
Yes, but I didn't go between college and having DS. Now I could never afford to buy him all the books we read together. It's a nice way to spend some time, too.
I read 2 books a week so I was a regular before I got a Kindle. Now I get e-books online from my library and find free books for my Kindle to supplement my habit.

I love the library & still have a renegade card from before our move. Our current town isn't allowed to participate in our county-wide library program. Please don't ask why - I don't understand it, & it's a subject of much irritation. God forbid I ever lose my existing card - I can't get it replaced & it will be sad times.
Often. I like to check out books on CD to listen to when I drive, and I am just finishing my thesis right now, so I am at the library A LOT. I go to our local library mostly. Lots and lots of natural light, so I love to study there.
The crazy thing is, I have a library card for my hometown (70 miles away), the suburb we live in, the suburb we used to live in, a suburb we've never lived in, and the city - all are valid and nobody seems to care. I have the one for the suburb we never lived in because I wanted to take LO to a baby sign class there.
I get 3-4 books for a 3-week period. LO may get a few books, but she's still young enough that she wants to get the books so I don't get her too much. H may on rare occasion get a book, but he normally sticks to CDs.
I go frequently. We have a great public library system in my city and I'm not one to reread books so it makes sense. I also don't need to keep every book I've read on a shelf in my house like it's a fucking trophy.

I just got a library card and we've lived in our city for 4 years. They didn't have any of the books I went for and they charge for movie rentals, but I plan to go back soon. I went to the library a lot from birth-college.

All systems are different and I'm not trying to burst your bubble, just forewarn you...your card will mst likely expire at some point.

I worked at my local library for ten years up until a month ago, so about five days a week . Since then, I haven't been at all, but I regularly check things out on my Nook.
I go about once a month. I always have a ton of late fees because I never return books on their due dates. I try to avoid buying books so I just request whatever I want to read and wait for my notice to go pick it up from the library.
