Rarely. I eat small meals and is full by after the main course all the time. I try not to keep crap in the house though, and limit baking like that, and if I do, use healthier options. Most of the time when I bake I don't eat it anyway, but that is just me since I have a strict goal in my head. Holidays will be torture this year, not allowed to eat any pie due to the sugar content.
I love chocolate and desserts more than I love to breathe, but I only eat that type of dessert a once a month or so these days.
Two things control my dessert appetite, well 3 really. 1. I drink wine almost every night. The sugar in the wine decreases my desire for sweets. 2. I eat a ton of fruit and it has the same effect as the wine. and 3. I rarely have any room for more food after dinner. If I want a dessert after dinner I would have to plan for it and skip part of my dinner or get sick full.
I've been known to have just a cupcake for lunch when I need something badly. It's been a while though. Me+regular food+dessert+frequency = fatass.
I get a fix by having a few bites of gelato or a few bites of chocolate chips a few times a week. I am lucky I can control this, I'm definitely not the "i have to eat the entire pint" sort of person. I can make a pint of gelato or ice cream last for a couple of weeks.
Uh, daily. :-) Though sometimes I have a glass of wine for "dessert" (or three). For a few months I cut out ice cream altogether and I lost a shitton of weight .... I should really think about doing that long term!

actual dessert as in post dinner goody? every time we go to MIL's house. probably only 2x per month or so. DS has a snack every night before bed anywhere from ice cream to popsicle to oatmeal or fruit.
not saying I don't snack on sugar stuff - but dessert - rarely.

I'm overweight for a reason. And that reason would be dessert. Poor spouse had never heard such bitching as with my 2 pregnancies with gestational diabetes. And the fact that he is type 1 made it so much more unacceptable for me to bitch. Yet I did.
I have a huge sweet tooth so I have a few hershey kisses every night after dinner. +250 calorie desserts. Usually once a week, at Sunday dinner with my H family.
I have dessert out probably once every couple months.
DH and I usually have something sweet for dessert most evenings after dinner- a scoop of ice cream, a cookie/brownie or a piece of pie/cake (assuming we have those things in the house).

A few times a week, my treat is usually a glass or two of wine but I love desserts too, just don't keep them in the house, more likely to get them when we go out. DH has dessert every day, a bowl or two of sugary cereal.
