I'm curious. Our house has a jacuzzi in the master bath. We've been here 3 years and used it a total of 3 times, twice it the first week we moved in and then I used it last night. People always say "if I had one, I'd use it all the time!" but in practice I think that rarely happens. My parents had one growing up and we never used it. For me, I'd use it more often if it didn't take 20 mins to fill it up. The volume of water from the tap for it seems really small.
So, any bath people? Bonus points if you can tell me how long it takes to fill up your tub (trying to figure out if ours is normal or not).
yes. I take one almost every night. We have a jacuzzi.
I have no idea how long it takes. 10 min? I am usually reading a book or on my iphone and not paying attention (I get in right away, I dont wait for it to be filled before using). It's a not a big tub for a jacuzzi, though, its regular bath sized, just deeper. I think the size of your tub and water pressure play a role.
The last time I took a bath was when I had surgery that required me to keep the area dry for a week. That way 8 years ago.
The water gets cold & dirty. Plus, have you seen the funk that grows in those jetted tubs? I'd consider a hot tub with hot, treated water. But not one of the jetted tub in the house. If I had one, I'd probably rip it out for a massive shower stall!

water gets cold- add more hot water. Then shower off afterwards. Clean the tub with bleach once a week. (ok, maybe every other week when my housekeeper does it. lol) walla.
Nope. In fact, we took out our tub and replaced it with a shower stall in our only bathroom. There have only been maybe three times in the past two years since we did the bathroom remodel that I've wanted to take a bath.
We had a big garden tub with jets and in 6 years we used it 4 times. In our new home, we are getting a monster shower with shower heads on opposite walls and a bench for leg shaving. Shower love.

during half-marathon training I took ice baths after many of my long runs, and epsom salt baths when my legs were extra sore/tight. Sometimes I take a bath if i'm having a super rough day - but i start sweating and feel gross so i don't stay in long - we have a regular tub so it's not as enjoyable as if we had a jacuzzi tub.
Yes, almost every day. We have a garden tub similar to Kore's. It takes 5-10 minutes to fill. I love baths, to the point that a house without a tub in the master bath would be a deal breaker for me.
Not often, but it's because our tub sucks. I love it when I got to a hotel and they have an awesome tub, because I take full advantage. If we had a better tub it would be at least weekly.
I think the last time I used ours was 3 years ago when I was pregnant. DS uses it now just to take a bath, not to use the jets. I wish we didn't put it in when we built. We really thought we would use it all the time. But it takes all of the hot water and since we rarely used it, we would have to clean it before using it.

No, but we also only have a regular tub- I'm not sure if I would use it if we had a jacuzzi tub. There just aren't enough hours in the day to spend time relaxing in a tub each night (I guess that might be a reason to do so, though).

When I moved in with my sister only one bathroom had a tub. She wanted that badly enough to offer up the reserved parking spot. She didn't take a bath once in 3 years.
Wow, I'm surprised at how many replies this got already! I really enjoyed my bath last night, although the water was too hot so I overheated kind of fast. My legs/hips have been killing lately and I think it helped a lot. We do have a tankless water heater and that helps. In my parents house it would us all the hot water to fill the tub. And yeah, I think our water pressure sucks, it is a little bigger than a normal shower tub (not huge) and it takes like 20 mins to fill up.
We don't have a shower in our house so we only take baths. When we bought the house, the first thing we said we'd do was put in a shower. 8 years later....
The tub is a regular tub but is extra long so even my very tall husband can straighten his legs

In my dream house I'm going to have a bathtub that circulates the water and reheats it.

Just curious, how did you bathe your baby? We only have a shower stall and are thinking about TTC while in this house.
No, I don't. It makes me feel more dirty than when I started. I always end with a shower if I do take them, and I maybe take them once a year thinking I will enjoy it.
In the works replacing the tub with just a shower stall. Never used the tub in the 6 years we been there. Mind you we only have 1 bathroom in the house.
I take them occasionally but always shower afterwards. I'm not really sure how long it takes to fill the tub, maybe 5 minutes but I get in while its filling up. I often get over heated so I leave to door open and bring a big glass of ice water with me. DH on the other hand takes a bath at least weekly to relax sore muscles.
