I've never had an STI/D test. I get regular paps and always assumed they do them with your yearly visit until I was told otherwise this year. I didn't get one at this past yearly appointment. I realize I should get one, especially with my XFI having been a big cheaterpants, but I'm scared. I thought I was "All normal" because that is always my Gyno result.

I'm come with you and hold your hand!! Knowledge is power, my dear and once you get a clean bill of health, you'll feel better, I promise!

I justified it because I have never had a symptom, but I am smarter than that, I know many STIs don't have symptoms/people don't show any. <--See, flameworthy. You all are welcome. Now it's the people holding outs turn!

I get so many. Partially because XH was a douche and told me to get one, partially because he got massages from hookers and also because I'm paranoid and want to stay safe since I've had multiple partners.
Insurance is cutting down and won't pay for tests unless there is a symptom or change in circumstance (according to my gyno). I went in for my annual and STD screen and he was all, "Well has anything changed, symptoms, new partners, etc" and I was like, "Umm, I'm divorced and dating. You can just write down WHORE so they don't deny coverage". He was dying.
My insurance doesn't cover shit anyway. It cost me $85 a month to get my BC. They hate women. (orrrr, they just hate paying for shit). I go back to my gyno in a month to check my IUD, so I should probably ask. Ugh. He's super cool and non judgey, but there is something about getting tested that screams "WHORE" and this thread confirms it.

You just march in there and tell him you're doing it on a dare by some crazy people online

I got the full battery of tests last time, because it was right after I found out that XH was cheating on me. I only got tested for the standard ones this year, there are a couple they test for no matter what, I don't remember which. The bill was insane last year and I certainly can't afford that right now. I really wanted to get them all done, but $$ stopped me. Sucks.
Fine, I'll post something actually flameful. I've found myself sideeyeing a LOT of posters on gbcn for many different reasons. Mostly not on this board, because almost everyone here is pretty nice, sensible, and not a bunch of assholes. At least not in their posts and not without reasons. We also don't have that weird "chain of command" thing I see on a lot of the other boards. Pretty much everyone treats each other with at least some respect. So my flameful? I've blocked some people because their posts worry me on a professional level, but they are not my cases and I am not responsible for what they do. It isn't my business, and I do not have the energy to spend worrying about shit I can not do anything about.
Also? I'm a huge, flaming, bitch face because of my period and the pain, and I have simply stopped using my filter this week.

This is only flameful if you name names
True. Very true. I guess I feel bad naming names, because A) Draaaama and B) I don't want anyone to feel like I am attacking them or something crazy like that.

Haha, nooooo. Not even at all. If y'all are seriously curious, I'll tell you, but like I said, draaama is not what I like. I find silly drama funny and amusing, and sometimes peoples overreactions are funny, but drama-drama is not my cup of tea.
