Sort of. We have a lot of PII (personal identifying information) so I obviously can't go around discussing names and social security numbers. But we aren't prohibited from talking about interesting cases (assuming we leave that info out) and any other actions we do are public (since we are the government).
Yes. I can't even give my actual job title without breaking confidentiality. the answer I gave in yesterdays post is the only one I'm legally allowed to give.
Oh, I missed that other post. Do you work in intelligence?
When I got worked in a papermill I had a few things. We were being sued by the USEPA and all of that was confidential. We also disposed of narcotics so that would be confidential until after the boys with guns left the building. We'd give anyone over the age of 12 a tour and all of our process secrets though.
Now when I was an intern at Kodak it was entirely different. Lots of secrets in that process.
Yes and it's always interesting to find out which things are confidential and which aren't and sometimes we have leeway to share with our family some stuff and not others. It's really entertaining.

Not really. I used to have access to real pharmacy records and we were on our honor not to look up celebrities. I don't have access to those files any more because I got moved to a different team when I began working at home (no remote access into the computers that store that info = no reason for me to have a login). I suppose I know about some projects in advance - but nothing that would be shocking.
