Time for another cool thing your kids are doing post!
DS has somehow learned how to roll his R's. Whenever he is excited or happy he starts trilling very loudly. He sounds like a little baby marachi singer. I am amazed that he can do this as it took me till I was 24 to learn how!
She made this art project, representing herself. She lay down on the floor at school and had the teacher trace her outline. Then she picked the pieces of fabric she wanted and colored, painted and drew in the rest.
I want to frame it, but I don't know if that would make it harder to ship back to the US one day.
DS can do this too. He used to do a ton, now not so much. Maybe it's a toddler thing, but something you learn but goes away. I guess they get excited when he learns a new skill and does it a bunch until it gets boring.
DS is talking up a storm, counting in French and English, saying his ABCs, loves to identify colors.
We had a failed potty training experiment last weekend. We made some progress, but there just wasn't enough time to really get him where he needed. I need like to take a week off work to really devote to it, but I need to save my leave for my next maternity leave whenever that is.
Dd is also talking a bunch and will attempt to repeat most words when asked. My favorite is her "what does a bear say?" sound. It's the largest RWARRRRRR she can muster.
The baby is some how mobile. I put him down in one place and when I turn around he is someplace else entirely. He is so fun right now. He loves to babble and is so smiley and responsive.
A will be three on Tuesday. She is so into pretend play right now. It is really fun. She loves the Tale of Peter Rabbit, and has it mostly memorized. She will randomly start pretending she is one of the characters.
DS gets so excited when he sees certain toys. We have those FP stackable rings, and the top one is mirrored and rattles, and when he sees it he goes "oooohhhhAAAAHHHH!!!!" It's so cute.

My DD is turning into quite a little mixed media artist. She love, love, loves to paint. So she will paint a paper all one color, let it dry, grab scraps of paper, leaves, stickers...whatever, really and affix it to the paper in different ways with different paint colors. It's really cool, she is getting really creative!
My DS makes THE cutest sounds when he is trying to go to sleep. Seriously, I love it. He's also gotten really good at snuggling with his little arms around my neck. Love.
DS is starting to pick some of his own clothes. He gets very upset if I try to put him in something else, so he ends up wearing some sort of terrible outfits. But hey, velour track pants are probably more comfy than jeans.
DS is sleeping longer stretches at night. He also is getting his two top teeth but isn't miserable. WTG DS! He is also trying to stand w/o help but keeps falling on his butt. It's kinda funny but I feel bad laughing.
Ds wants to eat his feet so bad. As soon as he's on his back he starts reaching for them. Yesterday he managed to pull his socks half off and happily chew on them whilst smiling at his success. So cute
Posted this in the other thread, but DD took TWO STEPS this morning!
She is also really into music and actually "knows" some songs. As soon as she hears Twinkle, Twinkle on her learning table, she starts waving her hands in the air like they taught her at school. And if she hears Old McDonald, she starts going "IEIEIEIEIE!"

Quinn does this too, but puts one hand up at the same time to pretend to be a giant grizzly. It's really funny
L still doesnt walk but instead of crawling everywhere, she walks everywhere while hanging on. She is getting there. And she doesnt say any words but she babbles so much.
Everyones kids sound so cute. They do cry and whine, too right?

Um...yeah. DS had a complete meltdown last night over a broken banana. His banana must stay completely intact which is hard to do when he is running around with it everywhere!
We are well into epic tantrums. When he's not wearing pants, we can see his whole body turns red. He takes this big breath, holds it for a bit, then lets out the WAIL that could shake the walls while falling to the floor after throwing whatever he was holding as hard as he can.
But this thread was about "cool things" not how the terrible twos start at 18 months.
My step-son is in first grade, and he LOVES math. He comes home from school and actually wants to do "homework." On Wednesday I picked him up and we spent a good hour and half completing almost an entire 1st grade workbook.
He's so smart. I'll have to find more workbooks for him for Chirstmas.
DD (almost 2.5, *sob*) has been singing to herself for the past couple months. It warms my music-loving heart, especially when she sings the song I've sung to her since she was a wee babe. <3
V crawls up to me as soon as she needs her diaper changed and says "poop!" and laughs like crazy. I am sure it is way to early for this but I went ahead and ordered her a potty chair because she seems super interested and sometimes says "poop!" right before she goes.
In other news, she has lots of words and still does not say "mama" with any intent. I wasn't too offended until she learned poop. Now, I feel like this is getting ridiculous.
Yesterday I was squatting on the floor putting things in a cabinet. DS (22 months) sneaks up behind me and starts trying to tickle my shoulders and neck. And then giggles himself.

DS1 can write his full name (3-letter FN, 9-letter LN). He's also getting good at those number and letter connecting puzzles.
DS2 is crawling. And also, crawling into your lap, holding on to your shirt for leverage, then standing up and saying "HAH!" right in your face. Hold me now.
DS automatically crawls over to me and throws himself into my lap each time I sit on the floor. He'll then stand up on my legs and likes to take my necklace in put it in my mouth. Weirdo.
He also likes to open and close doors and drawers. It's funny to watch him because he opens a door, pauses, and then closes it. Rinse and repeat about a hundred times.

She does this roll-pivot-spin thing that somehow gets her all the way across the room in 0.5 seconds. It's hilarious, and she's SO proud of herself when she gets to wherever she's going.

He's starting to "get" peek-a-boo. I love the belly laughs when we start playing.
Sometimes he'll start smiling and laughing as soon as he sees DH because he know he's going to play with him. He's already the fun parent, but I knew that he would be

Anna-that is too cute!
DS is totally going to be the weird kid that sits in the corner and picks his nose. The only thing he plays with are his feet. He's obsessed with them.
The tooth fairy came to our house last night for the first time! My baby is growing up!
My DS is starting to recognize some sight words, and his handwriting is improving (all CAPS though). My youngest just started crawling and is into everything. She's going to be our wild one.
