It's not that I particularly care and I'm not really a mommy martyr (I do everything possible to make my life easier, lol) but it *is* a certain amount of work. It seems kind of disrespectful of actual paid DCPs to say that it isn't. We do the same things they do, we just don't get paid for it.
Swallowing after giving head is gross. Do white people, "give head"? Or just BJ's? I only see BJ used on GBCN, in real life black folk say "give head".
Lately it's "dome." My guy friend was like "I got some dome the other night."
Note that a nanny can't typically: -run their own errands during the day -take the children they watch to their own personal doctor's appointments -wash their own laundry during the day -go out to lunch with friends and take the child they watch along -prep and/or cook dinner -put the child in front of the TV when they (nanny) are sick -follow the schedule that they feel suites themselves + the child best -put the TV on for their own enjoyment while picking up the house/toys, etc. -go to work in their pajamas -have their own friends over for play dates unless the children are of similar ages
As a stay at home mom someone can do all or most of the above.
But, children/nannies aside, someone with a flexible schedule, someone who works from home, or someone who is self-employed can do many of the things on that list. Every job comes with different perks and benefits.
I love that WFH discussions turn into "but you can work a flex schedule! you can run errands during the day!" No. I sit at my desk in my house from 8-6.
ETA: I see you responded and I hadn't read it yet. I still hate when people glorify WFH.
I totally side-eye people that have multiple kids and still aren't married.
I can understand having an oops baby. No reason to jump into matrimony, but choosing to have another with someone who you don't trust enough to marry I don't get.
Being a stay at home mom is not equivalent to a full time job.
Agreed. I keep seeing the facebook post going around about how being a stay at home mom is like being a police officer, chef, house keeper, nurse, chauffer, teacher etc. It drives me crazy because I think it is demeaning to all the moms out there who work full time and still are fantastic parents.

Or sometimes the guy just doesn't want to marry them. I think this is probably more often the case and the women think "Oh, but we're committed! I don't need marriage" while dude is probs boning some chick on the side.

I hate how everyone has gigantic siggie pictures now. On the nest we all made fun of people on the bump with their crazy signatures yet suddenly on proboards it is acceptable to have a 8 inch siggie picture! Drives me nuts.
I know a few girls who LOVE giving head and swallow. So yes, there are people who do indeed enjoy it.
FAIL.
They like the attention they get by saying they love it because either 1. Girls think it's gross and comment (thus negative attention) or because 2. Guys love to get it (thus positive attention).
Agreed. This is the equivalent of supermodels who give interviews about how much they love food and eat sooo much.

ME TOO. The over-the-top GIFs all the CEP girls seem to have are insane.
(But I do love GIFs in general. Just not in sigs.)
If you can't fit into an airplane seat with the armrests down, you should be required to purchase another seat.
I agree. I don't even know why this is an issue. The rebuttal is always something like "well not everyone can afford two seats." Ok, but not everyone can afford one seat. Traveling via air is not a right. You pay for the service.
