RE: water filling stations. They have slowly been adding them to the parks but you can always get ice water at any quick service location for free. I pop into Alien pizza planet for ice and then fill up throughout the day.
I've did opening day for ROTR and it was insane. You didn't walk into Dok Ondar's because so many people wanted to check it out. I lucked out and spent a decent amount of time the night before playing with the sabers in there. The CM popped a blade in and just let me do my thing for a good 15-20 minutes.

If this is what it will take to get people to stop bringing their unvaccinated newborns to the park, I am all for it. Panic and stay away from Disney. Sounds cold and callous but we have had measles and legionnaires outbreaks at Disneyland in the past few years and people are still bringing in tiny babies with fragile immune systems.
I've got no plans to cancel any trips and I currently have 12 nights booked at the Grand Californian for 3 separate trips this year. I'm not changing my plans unless the government restricts the free movement of people.

Bring all of it. My cousin had to provide documentation for all 3 marriages and 2 divorces. If you have held a DL in your current state under any other names, they will most likely demand proof of name change for each name.

Patsy Baloney If you really want to meet Jack and Sally, skip WDW and go to Disneyland. They are normal meet and greet characters for us for a good portion of the year (Halloweentime-early January). Having Haunted Mansion Holiday gives them a reason to have them out more often.
World Showcase at EPCOT has never been about rides; its about dining and entertainment. So if you aren't into the entertainment offered, you aren't going to find much to do.
Galaxy's Edge- do your research before you go. Currently, they only offer FPs for Smugglers Run. Rise of the Resistance is boarding pass only and it might stay that way for awhile; if you dont get a boarding group, you dont get to ride and you cant piggy back onto another group. The boarding pass is linked to your park ticket and you can only add people to your boarding party if they are scanned into the park. I can answer general questions about Batuu/Black Spire Outpost; the lands are identical on each coast and I've been to the one at Disneyland 20+ times.

Dresses. Lots and lots of dresses. Most are swing, skater or ankle length with a variety of sleeve options (short, long, tank).
Maxi skirts.
Leggings either paired with a knee-length dress or with a long tunic.
I am always hot so I avoid layers and clothing that requires me to wear clothes under my clothes; the weird sheer shirt trend needs to die; what is the point of wearing a shirt if I need to wear another fucking shirt underneath it?
Shoes are pretty basic. If I am not working, I will be in my OluKai's. If I am at work, I have a few pairs of black boots and black flats that I wear.

I broke my arm in 2nd grade and it was my dominant arm. Aside from having to learn to write with my left hand, it didn't have any major effect on me. My break was just above my elbow so my cast went from my hand to just below my armpit.
My one major tip is to take a quick peek at his wardrobe and see what will work with a cast on his wrist. You may have to get some new clothes that will fit over the cast especially if you are still having winter weather.
Serious question. We have N95 masks where I work. Should I be stocking up on them? Curse all those shows about pandemics around the CDC having me on edge.
Ultimately you do what you’re comfortable with. I’m in healthcare in a city that is treating Coronavirus patients; my hospital is urging staff to limit use of N-95 masks unless absolutely indicated and to reuse masks when appropriate. There’s a concern that high worldwide usage for a product that is largely manufactured in China is putting a strain on the system such that the people who need them may not have adequate access
I’ve been tempted but I haven’t touched our supply. If we all hoard we could be in much greater trouble down the road.
I wish that they were doing this when my mom was at Palomar last month. She was in isolation in one of the special air filtration rooms because they didn't know what was wrong with her. It had a small room that everyone had to enter so they could don their masks before going into the room. They were easily going through 20-30 masks each day just going in and out of her room. It would've been nice to just have a spot to leave my mask so that I could reuse it every time I went to visit her.
She's not allowed to mention SH by name I don’t think. She and her friend were two women and got obliterated by SH’s $$$. Patent defense only works if you can defend it forever in court from what I know of this situation. They couldn’t.
Her patent expired last year because she failed to pay her maintenance fees. The only lawsuits I've seen are against Jamberry (they have their own patent issued by the USPTO for their product) and a defunct business entity known as SheeKee, LLC.
For a small business that is based less than 20 minutes from my house, I have never heard of them nor seen their products in any local salons. Nail products are my thing and if I had known about a local company with a nail product, I would've checked them out.

Menus for the kiosks are finally up. Lots of beer this year and, thankfully, not a ton of seafood options so that's one less cross contamination issue to worry about.
I love Aveda's Comforting Tea. It has something in it that gives this natural light sweet flavor at the end of the sip. It is the only tea that I have never had to add sugar to.
Yup. They are constantly offering me that nasty crap whenever I go into their stores. It is so sweet that it makes me gag. It has a ton of licorice root and fennel root in it and both of those are cloyingly sweet to my palate.
Are you a Sam's club member? The Disney travel blogs all say that they have discounted tickets there.
No, we don't have Sam's Club here. Is there a discount on Max Pass through anyone? We are a family of 5 (6 with my mom)- so an extra $20/per person on top of ticket prices is a lot.
No discounts on MaxPass but if you can find discounted tickets, the savings will help pay for the $5 price increase on MaxPass.

If the castle is something that is important and a must see, you might want to wait until 2022. They announced that they will be doing something to the castle for the 50th but more information hasn't been released yet. When they had the 25th anniversary, they turned the castle into an ugly ass, pepto bismol pink 'birthday cake' and it looked hideous. Hopefully they will just be sprucing it up with a new paint job. But depending on what they do and when they will start the official 50th celebration; there is a small chance that there might be scaffolding or a no see green barricade around the castle sometime next spring/summer.
I think I’m going to grab them from UT while the old pricing is still available even though I could use CC rewards if I buy directly from Disney. It’s a huge difference when you factor in the max pass increase.
If you were going to be there on a Sun morn to Thursday evening (week leading up to July 4), would you do 4 or 5 day park hoppers or is 5 days overkill? We are staying at the GC. DH thinks 5 days is too much but I like the ability to just pop in. It’s only about $100 difference, which in the grand scheme of this trip is not much.
5 day especially if you want to ride Rise of the Resistance. Boarding passes are still running out in 1-2 minutes. If the weather is hot, you will want to spend the afternoons at the pool so having a 5 day ticket will still allow you to see everything and escape from the heat.

When my car was stalling out for no reason (usually when I hit the gas after stopping), it was a bad 02 sensor. It doesn't always show up on the codes.
I dont know if there are any online forums for your hubby's car but if there are, he should do a quick google search to see if others have talked about the same issue and what they did to fix it.

2001 BMW. Check engine light was on for 1.5 years and every diagnostic test said there was nothing wrong (no codes). Only thing that it did that wasn't normal was a rough idle when I would start the car. We finally figured out that there was a leak and the air intake was getting jacked up and triggering a sensor that caused the light to come on. It was around $600 to fix the issue and now it runs fine (and passed smog).
I love MaxPass but as the price has increased, the perks have gone down. They used to have photographers with every character, but those have disappeared. The convenience of booking a Fastpass from anywhere is important, but a lot of the value for me used to be in the PhotoPass part.
One of my friends is a photopass photographer and they have switched focus; now they station them at iconic locations/backdrops instead of with characters. I'm partially blaming the annoying Disneyland instagrammers for this change; they are the ones who post all those stupid photos with very specific backdrops and then people want to copy them.
I know they have to pay for all the new things, but man, they are making it AWFULLY hard to justify a trip anymore.
I think they really want to push people to buy the multi-day tickets. There is no reason to buy a single day ticket if you are local and can go multiple times in a year and most people who are visiting from outside of SoCal are usually staying for a few days.
I don’t understand why people think authorizing bonds = higher property taxes?
Probably because school funding is linked to property taxes. I don't have an issue with bond measures; I have an issue with bond measures that don't provide a clear source for their proposed funding.

My PCP left the health group so now I need to pick a new one. I've seen almost all of the doctors at the office so it will come to whoever is taking new patients. There are enough doctors in the internal medicine department that they all take turns as the on-call doctor for the day and they have a full-time NP that only does same-day appointments. If you call right when they open, you can usually get something with the on-call doctor. If they can't squeeze you in, they will tell you to go Urgent care if it truly is an urgent matter.
Most of the time it is actually cheaper to go to urgent care than to see the doctor. They charge the same copay with my plan so if I have to pay OOP to meet the deduction, UC is the cheaper option.
I very rarely go to the doctor and when I do, it is because something is oozing out of a body part (infection) or I am making sure I didn't break something. Otherwise, I just suck it up and wait it out. 99% of the time, I already know what they will tell me to do so I don't waste their time (or my money) unless I've tried everyting and it is getting worse.

Voting No. It does not provide a clear indication of where the funds will come from. There are only 3 sources: general fund, taxpayer revenue and making the developer pay fees.
"Funding for local school construction in California comes from three sources: First, the state borrows money by issuing bonds and then repays it from general fund revenues. Second, local school districts borrow money by issuing bonds and then repay it by raising property taxes. Third, developers pay fees for a portion of the cost of new schools needed for the homes they build."
which makes total sense and really does make things super easy! I just felt so let down not to go IN PERSON to vote for Obama in 08.
You can still vote in person if you want to. The game changers have been 1) a longer window for voting — I voted in the last November election on Halloween. No lines! And 2) you can vote anywhere in your county.
ETA: My biggest surprise from this thread is that NorCal and SoCal have different voting procedures. We’ve been doing it this way the entire time I’ve lived here!
The county Registrar of Voters all have their own process for voting and they choose how to handle the elections. I'm in San Diego county and we have pretty much voted the same way since my parents moved out here in 1978. There was one odd ball election where they attempted to use machines and that didn't work out so they went back to the scantrons. It is a step up from the old punch ballots with hanging chads.

Since no one else has mentioned it, ticket and AP prices for Disneyland went up today. If you are planning a visit and haven't bought your tickets yet, go rob a bank! They also added new tiers for single day ticket pricing.
Ok that makes me feel better about travel. Part of his concern is probably physically being able to travel across the airport during the layover if he doesn't have anyone to push the wheelchair, I guess I could tell him this, although I would worry about him traveling alone due to other issues such as his memory. I guess if he really needs to go somewhere by plane I'd have to look into using time off to go with him, but make sure the airlines know he has needs.
For as much shit as airlines get for crap that they pull, they really do have their act together when it comes to assisting passengers in wheelchairs or who need assistance. Our family has used Southwest and American to fly family members across the US who needed extra help with mobility. Airlines do offer a gate pass for passengers that need assistance; they will allow a non-ticketed person to accompany the passenger to the gate. So if he has family on both ends, you can get a wheelchair escort and a gate pass to make things easier.

Get some debrox(or any ear wax cleaner) and try cleaning out your ear to see if it goes away. There could be something in there that is causing the 'sound'.

Ok...how the hell did I miss that D. A. Pennebaker died last year? One of my fandoms should've been all over that since he directed 101 which is like the most loved documentary/concert film of the band.
I'm choosing to believe she confused it with Thor: The Dark World. Which *is* considered one of the worst.
I loved Dark World b/c LOKI and I absolutely adored the fact that it was one of the timelines they used in Endgame. All the people in my marvel forums who kept telling everyone that they could skip it because it wasn't important at all had to eat their words!
I think everyone can agree that Incredible Hulk was the absolute worst!
