I must be really old because I still haven't figured out what "Eff a Gee" means. I was 25 when I went to MEPS. I felt like a grandma. When I got to Basic, I was older than half my Drill Sergeants and everyone called me Mamma. Good luck with everything.

I haven't read it, but Talk of the Nation did a show about it, and apparently he really didn't violate anything. It was more of a discussion of policy and philosophy than actual information about what they did.
Interesting. I read a clip in an article where he describes how he shot info Bin Laden's lifeless body and the same article said it contains classified info.
From what I've heard, there is a lot of info that hasn't been cleared to be released including a huge amount of OPSEC info.

I won't read it. I refuse to give that ass any of my money. I do know he's hiding because he's afraid of his former team members. They have all pretty much promised him they'll beat him with in an inch of his life when they find him.

I'm guessing that's specific to the league. I'd ask him about it. My kids have been a part of either city leagues or private club leagues for at least 6 years. I've never seen anything like that.

There's not really a benefit for soccer league. Many bases offer youth soccer as part of MWR. The league here still has fees. I think it's $25 to sign up. That includes the uniform fee.

Ladies, she's not talking about stilletoes for the kid. My daughter has a pair of shoes with a 1/4 to 1/2 inch "heel" on the back of it and she calls them her high heels. She also has a little purse full of princess lip gloss and chapstick. She loves them. There is a huge difference between having Honey Boo Boo Child walking with you and having a little girl who likes girl stuff. I think y'all are going a little nuts on this.
Smurfette, maybe a movie night with some popcorn and painting toes would be fun. Grab a couple color books and crayons from the dollar store, lay on the floor and color. Listen to silly kid songs and dance like crazy kids in the living room.

I'd ask about it but I wouldn't get upset until I knew why. There may be a reason. Maybe the other kid had a blowout while R was playing in the bouncer and they needed to put the other kid somewhere while they cleaned it up. Maybe they hadn't had a chance to put clean sheets on his bed before you came to pick R up. There are all sorts of circumstances, but I would ask to be sure.

Also, other plans they have included: - Taking over Ft Stewart and starting with blowing up the ammo depot as well as guard gates, the Garrison Command offices, the IG offices, JAG, the MP station and other spots. - They planned to simultaneously hit the same spots on Hunter as well as others. - They planned to blow several Federal buildings in Savannah - The ports of Savannah - Several other highly popular tourist areas of Savannah - The same key spots on Ft Lewis as Ft Stewart and Hunter.
They lead guy also has land he bought in Washington State where everyone was supposed to meet and rally to move forward into the next phase of what ever his plans were.
There is absolutely know way it was just these 5 guys.

It's getting a huge amount of press here. To answer a few questions: 1. They were planning to blow up the fountain for several reasons. - It's the most well known landmark here. - It is in the most densely populated area of town - It is in the most visited tourist area of town - They were planning to blow the fountain during the free concert after the Rock and Roll Marathon in the park, near that fountain. Last year, during that concert, there were nearly 10 thousand people at that concert. The plan was to detonate when the concert was letting out. The majority of people leaving would have been walking past that fountain toward the hotels, bars and parking garages. It would have been absolutely devastating. That's why that was such a big deal and not silly or laughable at all. There have been a crazy amount of H&W checks in the units here at Hunter and Ft Stewart in the last couple of days. I'm sure there are more coming. People are paying a hell of a lot of attention to tattoos. Tattoo shops are being interviews to see records kept of who got that particular tatt. Ft Stewart issued a statement that they have no problems with gangs or militias and they are not worried about further incidents. However, no one knows exactly how deep this runs. The PFC says they were targeting soldiers who were jaded or who felt the Army had screwed them over. Many of their members are said to have PCS'd elsewhere and he said they are actively recruiting at other bases. The SGT who started this whole thing started stock piling weapons with insurance money he was paid after his pregnant wife died. They thought that was an accident before, but now they are opening that case back up because they are saying it's all suspect. It's crazy. I'm sure the news will have more info soon. I'll keep those of you interested updated.

Working out helps me. I know you've got some neck issues. I'm not sure how that has hindered your PT. Even walking or swimming is a good work out. I try to get fixed up a bit at least a few days a week. You know me, fixed up is anything nicer than jeans and a t shirt and add some make up. Some sexy underoos are always a good thing, too.
If he was my kid, I'd slap him right in that tattoo every time I saw it. J's little brother called me a few weeks ago asking about joining the Army. He has quite a few tattoos. I asked if he had any on his face, neck or hands. He says, "Oh, yeah. I got one not that long ago on my palm. It's a dollar sign and says 'Pay me Bitch.' Is that bad?" Yeah, dude. That's bad. I don't know how those two came from the same family. They are nothing alike.
smh
All I could think about was he's going to have kids one day and show up at school like that. He's going to shake a teacher's hand with "Pay me Bitch" on his hands. He's going to reach out to hold his child for the first time with that on his hand. I could only say, "WTF! Yes, that's bad even if you weren't trying to join the Army!!"

Goodness, woman. You need a break. I wish you weren't so far away. I'd tell you to bring them down and come hang out with us. A yard fire, girl time and a bottle of Jack could do us both some good.
So, a friend told me to go play around a free dating site because it is apparently entertaining. Don't worry, I followed PERSEC.
The amount of face/neck tattoos is ridiculous.
I'm pretty sure 50% of the guys had the thug life chose for them. Then I changed to seeking women. Omg. The entertainment is never ending...

OMG! hahahaha. That is some kind of crazy. I can't even picture that many women strolling around base. Wow.
Do they still do that when their husbands are home? I'm sorry, but why did they get to determine what spouses got to meet? Who could socialize? That's jacked up.
It sounds like the mean girls got married right out of highschool and never matured.

Our guys have two gyms on post that are open only for them. Wives are allowed to use it during training cycles if they come in with their husbands or during deployments if they come in in groups of two or more. During the last deployment, a group of us would use the Crossfit type gym for a class BTN put together for us. One chick got on our private FRG FB page and posted that we needed to stop pretending to work out up there and stop trying to impress the rear d guys. "You women should be ashamed of your selves! You have husbands at war and this is how you behave!" There were some entertaining responses before it was deleted. My husband happened to be working with hers and was there when he got the "You need to put your wife in check before she "falls" down the steps at an FRG meeting" talk.

My husband was the exact same way right before we took our first road trip. My older kids were 5 and 8. The baby was 3 months old. He was hell bent on only stopping every three or four hours. I literally fell over laughing when he starting telling me is plans for the trip from GA to TX. "Ok, Buddy. We'll see how that works out for you." One hour in was the first poopy diaper. Thirty min up the road from that was, "I have to pee!!!! Right now!!!!" He learned quite a lesson on that trip. Now, he knows we will have to stop about every hour or two for potty breaks and to let the short people run some energy out. I say don't argue with him about it. Just let him learn the hard way. That's really the only way he's going to figure it out.

It depends on how long it takes him to turn in the paperwork and how long it takes them to enter it in. J stands there and waits for them to enter it before he leaves because he's had so many issues with it in the past. After it's done, it usually only takes a week or two for payment to show up.

Read, take a bath, drink wine, read in a bath with wine, sit in the yard and listen to the crickets and cicadas, go to bed early, watch a fire and listen to music, eat something yummy, weapons cleaning, shoot long distance. I know the last one sounds odd, but you have to relax and slow your breathing to hit long distance targets. I find it soothing.

I've been asked to coach the 5th and 6th grade girls volleyball team at the kids' school. I'm stoked! It's been a while since I've played, so I'm catching up on rules and drills. Our first practice is Wednesday.
