Captain Catnip ... I keep thinking about this project and could this be your issue? Are you knitting with the sock top going away from you or falling towards you?
Also ... your knitting is very neat and tidy there - great tension on this, even if you did end up frogging it. Have you started the baby socks yet? I'm invested in this!
Away from me. That's probably the issue!
I have not started them yet, I have been working on other projects right now, holding off until after Xmas hoping I get more needle options! Fxc.
Yay, that's it! So you *are* knitting and not purling, but because of the way the sock is going away from you, it is inside out. In the round, the project always goes off the bottom of the needle. Easy fix!

I dunno, it's an awkward building to refresh, especially if *just paint* is all they're allowing. Maybe a light charcoal instead of the black? I don't know. I feel like no matter what I suggest, it's still going to look funny because it's just so awkward.
I did this on my first hat. Super easy to do. Your already knitted stuff should be hanging down/towards you. Does that make sense? It's hard to explain.
Don't give up! Again, super easy to do.

Not entirely a fan of that color scheme. It just ... looks wrong. I think it's the black and/or the placement of the color.
This might be weird, but I think I'd accent the corner with red instead. Like, a 90-degree wrap from window to window on that right corner. (I hope that makes sense.)

What are you up to today? I have to work and I swear, it feels like I'm the only non-essential employee in the country without the day off.
My vent is that I am totally and completely grinching out this Christmas, and if one more person tells me to cheer up about it/get in the holiday spirit, I'm going to run them over with my car. It's the holiday equivalent of freaking "Smile!" Ugh.
I have gotten something like 3 hours of sleep per night this week, too, so that's really not helping the hair trigger I'm sitting on at the moment.
ALSO, I might have to work today, but there are literally only four things on my to-do list and they are short ones. I'm going to be done by noon, for sure, and so I'm taking a knitting project so I have something to do. Sigh.

We finally got around to putting ornaments on the tree yesterday. I am still not feeling Christmassy, but it's an improvement.
I am completely overwhelmed by everything I have to do lately, and to top it all off, I have to give two weeks' notice today (my REA license finally was approved). I'm totally an anxious mess over it.

I think chlorine would require the longest wait of the three, but even so, 8 weeks does seem excessive, unless they're thinking that the earrings would have to be removed to swim.

I've been working on finishing a sweater for my MIL. I guess her mother started knitting it an unknown number of years ago, then put it in hibernation, then died. It had a sleeve and a half left, and some moth holes I had to fix. I'm on the last sleeve. (1 repeat into the pattern, about 5 and some ribbing to go).
Photo is of the other sleeve as I was finishing it. I'm loving this sweater, although the pattern is poorly written. I may attempt another one for myself.

I love cold water, but the coldest water I've ever swam (swum?) in was mid-40's. It was unpleasant (to say the least), but not terribly difficult. That said, it takes a lot of acclimation to be able to swim in water that cold safely and I wouldn't recommend it for most people. And the water temp feels exponentially colder for every degree, so even the difference between 50 and 45 is shocking.

Dice up cheddar cheese. Pound chicken breasts flat, put one asparagus spear and some cheese on it. Wrap the chicken around the cheese and asparagus and tie it. I put them in a pan with a little water and cover with foil. You can just bake them in the oven at 350 for 30-ish minutes, until the thermometer temp is right. I like to uncover them the last 10-15 minutes so they brown a little.

When I was an AD, I regularly had members complain about sharing lanes. One even suggested creating a sign up sheet for half-hour blocks with exclusive lane use. I had a hard time not laughing in her face. Ridiculous.

Echo was yesterday. This morning, the doctor sent me a message that it was pretty much normal, but my EKG remains abnormal, so I'm getting referred again - this time to electrophysiology. Hopefully I'll get answers at some point. Sigh.

Yes, which I actually find shocking, since my stupid company made us work until 5:30 the day before Thanksgiving and a full day on black Friday. I do not work in a service industry, nor is my job even remotely critical or vital. I'm still bitter about that.
[ This is going way back in my schooling but can't that be a normal abnormality and not pathological? (Of to find old ekg book, if found I will report back)
She said it's possibly my normal, but it would be very unusual given my age. I guess it's a typically juvenile abnormality, but people grow out of it. She's concerned for right ventricular cardiomyopathy.
OMG!!! Thank you, thank you, thank you mrs.jacinthe ! I love this sweet TARDIS mouse so much (and the yummy treats!) You are so talented and he is just the cutest thing ever.
Aww, yay! I'm glad you loved it! It was so many firsts for me - first intarsia, first seamed project, first embroidery as part of a project ...

Good news - my chest pain is benign. Bad news - my ECG isn't.
So I'm on to more testing with an echo, cardiac MRI, and possibly a stress test. Whee.
BUT, glass half full - I'm cleared to swim in the pool, provided I tell my coach and he's comfortable with my (very minor until ruled out completely) risk of sudden death.

I mean, I'm seriously carb restricted because of my stupid body's betrayal, and while I don't usually miss them, I know enough to know that I can only go so far.
