Haven't cut back on anything, but if I had, I probably would indulge during the WTO phase. (I would probably try to stay away from things that could possibly harm my chances of ovulating/conceiving at all though.)

I'm assuming that in this demographic it's not really flameful - at all, but I really think old people should not be allowed to drive, or at least have to take an actual driving test every single fucking year. I'm so fucking fed up with me getting in danger because of stupid old ladies who insist on driving.
(I've fortunately never actually gotten into an accident, but every near accident I've been in involved an elderly person who did something stupid. I got really super lucky this afternoon that my car didn't skid more than it did and that the guy in the truck behind me was able to slam his brakes on time or I'd likely have been dead because some asshole old lady decided to venture out onto the highway in her car while she wasn't able to judge distance and speed anymore. (it's in km, but I was in the speed lane, going 130 (it's allowed there) she was behind a truck going 80 (max truck speed here) I was really close to them already and she suddenly changes lanes and gets in front of me, so I had to slam my brakes, which caused me to skid (duh, I was going 130) and there was a fuckin small truck pretty close behind me (max size that's allowed to go speed limit, so pretty damn big and heavy). She didn't even try to speed up or anything. When I passed her I saw that she was old.
Okay, that was more of a vent than a flameful, but I guess I needed to get that out.
ETA: sorry for all the cussing, I'm still angry and shaken.

Thanks everyone. To celebrate crosshairs I spent half the day making Christmas goodies. Another reason to hope I'm lucky this cycle... that way I can blame my ginormous cookie-ans-nougat-belly on pregnancy.
Huzzah, O'd on CD13 according to FF. Since the positive opk hadn't completely faded on CD 14, I'm guessing that I might've O'd in the night between 13 and 14, which would explain the extremely low rise. Anyways, we had lots of sex and on all the right days, so I'm hoping for a Christmas miracle! Please send vibes, babydust or just cross your fingers. I only have 2 more cycles left after this one before doctors will likely just tell me to give up, so I need all the luck and magic and whatnot I can get!

1) Where are you in your cycle/ttc journey? Cycle 100million or so, CD15, 1-2DPO
2) Any AW/Vents? I hate my chart this cycle. Stupid rocky mountains before O tell me nothing about when I O'd. I got +ish opks 2 days (usually just 1), and I've never O'd later than CD14, but you never know. Ugh!
3) QOTW - What is the one holiday gift you are most excited to give (or did give) this year? We're not really doing gifts this year. I found gloves that work with a touch screen which I bought DH and myself already, guess that's my fave.

Guess I'll just have to wait and see what happens Hopefully I'll get my crosshairs tomorrow... I guess I'll know for sure around Christmas, or never if I get a BFP (FX) I just hope for the best Christmas present ever!
I most often rise very slow and steady, never a real peak there. An ovulation dip about once every 5 cycles, so usually not. Got the darkest positive opk on CD12, really late at night. I personally, taking in knowledge of TCOYF O on CD13, so 2DPO today. What say you?

I usually have a temp rise the day after a positive. And my true positive is really much darker than these. The 1st dark one was last night, the 2nd dark one was today afternoon.
Thing is it usually fades in super slowly. And now it got dark super quick. Oh well, we'll see...

What does gp think? Did I miss my true peak. None of those are what I know a true pinpoint positive looks like, but it's fading right? I can stop having sex every day after tonight right?? (Right side is the newest )
Oh I forgot deodorant. I always bring the arm and hammer fragrance free stuff with me, because the Dutch fragrance free stuff (I'm allergic ) is just icky!
Our cleaning lady, tee-hee. But during the in between time, I tend to do more. He has a much higher tolerance for dirt/clutter/whatever. Also, I do 99% of laundry, he sometimes helps putting it away and the rest is pretty much shared responsibility. When I really start cleaning, he'll usually get off his butt and helps.
In NL the Christmas fare changes with trends. Right now it's a big turkey or a ham, multi coarse dinner that's trendy, but for a while it was fondue or what the Dutch call 'gourmetten', which means a table grill with all kinds of small pieces of meat or eggs or veggies which everyone personally grills at the table. Fondue (both meat and cheese) have been popular, so it changes.
The Germans call that raclette. DH's family usually just does sausage with cold potato salad on xmas eve since everyone in the family is gone at different times to about 10 zillion different church services. The on the two following days they do fondue and raclette.
Ah, the Dutch call it raclette when it's just cheese. Same type of grill though.
Cheesecake I think some schools just want to give a snow day today. (esp. since it's Friday and all)
Nope, that wasn't it. School isn't closed, the kids who live close to the school (or are driven by a different company) all had to go to school.
What's funny, btw, is the amount of people who claim they're snowed in. There'll be 2 inches of snow all around the house and they'll call themselves snowed in. And then they get all pissy when I post Colorado snow pics on Facebook, with my Jeep completely buried in snow, stating that we weren't snowed in there. It's funny. I'm mean!
Cheesecake - here in the Northern tip of the country it's lot better!
So they actually do know how to drive in the snow in that part of the country?? That surprises me. My cousin's son's school bus (he's in special ed) didn't even ride (and he's in that part of the country as well). He's happy though, playing in the snow instead of going to school, big score!

I personally prefer DH's family's Italian standard things, the home made ravioli in brodo, the panettone and/or pandoro, the torrone (yes, I'm into sweets big time, don't judge!) And the stuffed pork leg and lentils for New Year's, I might actually see if I can make that myself this year, after we come back from the US.
Oh, and I love love love the laid-back attitude of the Italians about the religious/traditional foods. While the Italian families I know in the US all eat just fish and nothing else on Christmas eve and are pretty militant about that, our Milanese family completely considers vitello tonnato a fish dish.
I'm wondering how it is for people in other countries, but here both people themselves as well as the country is just not able to handle a tiny bit of snow. It's just ridiculous, there's maybe an inch fallen (it's almost 10am now) but traffic, public transportation and people themselves are a giant mess.
Now I learned to drive in Colorado snow, so the snow doesn't phase me, but people here, even though it's snowed every year for the last 5 years, just can't drive in it and are driving like a bunch of lunatics (which makes it scary to drive even for experienced snow drivers).
How is this in your country? Can they handle the snow??
Tarheels, that's not completely true. yes, we have a 52% scale, but that's over everything you make above about $70K, what's below that is taxed lower. You pass through several brackets. At the same time you can also deduct your entire mortgage interest you pay from the highest tax bracket, and the largest portion of what you have to pay goes to unemployment, retirement, disability and health benefits. The actual taxes you pay, especially over the lower brackets, aren't all that high.
If you actually calculate it all, everyone (single person, not family income) who makes up to 200-250K a year is better off financially with the 'super high taxes'. Especially when you take into consideration that the local taxes/real estate taxes and stuff are way lower. My dad's home has the same taxed value as mine, he's in CO, I'm in NL, he pays slightly more per month than I pay for an entire year. My income taxes might be higher, but that pays for all schools, roads, police, fire brigade etcetera etcetera.
It's true that people in the US would never go for that though. I would personally prefer something kinda in between, I wouldn't feel safe/secure in the US system anymore, but the taxes indeed sure are high.
