I'm reading The Great Gatsby even though it's paining me. I just finished First They Killed My Father. I was irrationally annoyed by that book even though I thought it was very good otherwise because well, that's not what happened first.
I just finished Insurgent this morning. Debating between a newer Nora Roberts or the new James Patterson, both of which came in at the library. After I read one of them I'll probably read something for the spring challenge.

I'm reading Falls the Shadow by Sharon Kay Penman, it's a historical fiction book 2 of 3 about the princes of Wales. The first book is Here be Dragons and the main characters are Llewellyn of Whales vs Richard the Lionheart/Prince John of England. Good series!

I'm reading A Company of Swans and DH and I are sharing Waiting for Gertrude and The Restaurant at the End of the Universe during our weekly storytime.
I found that book so frustrating. I would get totally invested, and then it would lose me. But it really made me want to travel to Eastern Europe sometime.

I know what you mean. I'm having the same issue. The overall story is really interesting but the pacing gets a bit weird at times.

Oh I'm putting this on my list!
She has another trilogy about Eleanor of Aquitane, her life and children. Im not sure how much overlap to expect on Richard and John but Ill read it anyway. I find this family fascinating.
I'm still working my way through Insurgent, and deciding what I want to read next. I'm considering a complete re-read of the HP series, but I also downloaded Game of Thrones.
I am reading the Winter Sea, which is slow and partially historical, but somehow I am in the mood for it. And Vicious Deep, which is weird and a bit silly, but I am really liking parts of it. I did not really care for Divergent. I also read the Future of Us and did not like it nearly as much as I had hoped to.

I'm just about done with Nightwoods by Charles Frazier. It's ok but pretty slow going. It's just started to get interesting and I'm on page 205 of 247 :-\ Overall, I do like it though. It just wasn't as good as I thought it would be.

I read her Justin de Quincy mystery series (excellent by the way), but I have not branched out to any of her historical fiction. I may just have to add it to the list.
Since the Harry Potter series got released in ebook format I have decided to re-read the series. I'm on the first book on lend from the library. I need to get cracking. Renting eBooks from the library really pushes me to read quicker!
