- a pair of jeans $80 - a pair of shoes $50-ish - a purse or handbag $350 - a piece of jewelry Maybe $30? I don't own any nice jewelry, even my wedding set cost less than $250 combined lol
I think the only outrageous thing on that list is the purse and it's totally worth it. I carry it almost everyday and it doesn't look like it has any wear. The leather is so soft too.

- a pair of jeans $170 I regretted it immediately, but the store had no returns. In the end I wore them all the time, and they held up for about 2/3 years. Now I only buy AE jeans because I am a cheap lady. - a pair of shoes no idea. Probably less than $200 though No regrets. Typically all of the shoes i've bought have held up really well. - a purse or handbag $180 (on sale from $240??) Worth it, I'm bored of it now, but i's a nice bag so I'm certain it will be back in rotation some day. - a piece of jewelry I don't wear much jewelry, but have some watches in the $500 range. Totally worth it. My current favourite is German pilots watch, it was under $400.

- a pair of jeans $150ish? Dunno. Not worth it. I only get jeans at resale shops now. - a pair of shoes $300 or so? cowboy boots. Worth it. - a purse or handbag $200 eh, not worth it. I'm hard on handbags. I'd rather, again, go to a resale shop or tjmaxx type place and get good stuff at a deep discount. - a piece of jewelry (excluding engagement/wedding rings) maybe 75 bucks. I don't buy myself nice jewelry, my nice stuff was bought for me. not that I have anything that nice, lol. Worth it? sure.
Most expensive shoes were a air of bronze heeled sandals I got for my cousins wedding for $100. I've only worn them the one time, but they were so worth it because they are just what I was looking for and they fit me, which is sometimes a monumental struggle.
Jewellery was $150 for the ring I'm wearing right now that I bought myself when I got my current job. So worth it. I love it.
- a pair of jeans: $200ish + tax - a pair of shoes: $700ish + tax - a purse or handbag: $2000ish + tax - a piece of jewelry (excluding engagement/wedding rings): Probably like $600 + tax
No regrets at all!!! (But I have lots of regrets about cheaper things)
Booby that is definitely true for shoes for me. Those were a pair of black heels that are still in pristine condition, minus 1 heel scuff from the fucking Boston sidewalks. If I could afford pricier shoes I would absolutely splurge on black pumps that should last forever.

- a pair of jeans: $125, worth it - a pair of shoes: probably $80, sure - a purse or handbag: $200, yes - a piece of jewelry (excluding engagement/wedding rings): maybe $150? $200? on a watch.
- a pair of jeans - $160 on Paige skinnies - worth every penny - a pair of shoes - $700 for a pair of silk magenta open-toed Christian Louboutin heels for my wedding; worth it at the time because they were gorgeous, but the heel broke on BOTH shoes the second time I wore them, and then I had to spend a bunch of money to get them fixed and then redied to black when they couldn't match the color. - a purse or handbag - $500 for a Marc Jacobs quilted small shoulder bag. It is amazing and I love it. - a piece of jewelry (excluding engagement/wedding rings) - $500 for a rose gold band with diamonds - but it was a gift from my H for our anniversary (but since we have joint accounts it was technically my money), not sure if it counts. But I wear it every day and love it.
Worth it? Regret it?
My next large splurge will be on a classic Chanel quilted shoulder bag, which will set me back about $2500, I think. I am going to buy it with my part of my bonus next year and I am so excited. I have wanted one forever and it will be worth the investment.
a pair of jeans- About $45 - a pair of shoes- $30 - a purse or handbag- $450. Totally worth it. Have had it 7 years and its still good! - a piece of jewelry (excluding engagement/wedding rings)- $40 or $50
- a pair of jeans $170 - a pair of shoes $600 - a purse or handbag $450 - a piece of jewelry (excluding engagement/wedding rings) $1000. More if you're including watches.
Worth it? Regret it?
Worth it. All of it.
I don't buy stuff like that a lot, but when I do, I buy really classic, high quality pieces that wear well and look fanfreakingtastic. I had to include stuff H has bought for me because even though I love it, I would never buy some of the stuff he has bought me. However, I didn't take it back.
Jeans - $40-45 Shoes - $35-40 Purse - $50 Piece of jewelry - $15 for myself, $200 as a gift
The jeans are worth it, and I'm honestly not sure about the shoes or purse. Even when I spend a lot for me, it doesn't last any longer than the super cheap stuff, so would it have been better to buy two $25 purses that would have lasted just as long? The gift, a watch, was almost certainly not worth it because he has never worn it.
But, I spent $$$ on my dining room set and it's my best and favorite purchase ever.
- a pair of jeans - a pair of shoes - a purse or handbag - a piece of jewelry (excluding engagement/wedding rings)
Worth it? Regret it?
Jeans- $120ish (on sale) Shoes- $150ish (also on sale!) Handbag- $450 Jewelry- I don't buy myself nice jewelry, so probably like $50
I don't regret some of the more expensive purchases. It's definitely not my norm but I have found that all of the above purchases were really good quality and have held up nicely. I look at them as good investments among my usual cheap purchases lol
- a pair of jeans $150ish - a pair of shoes $100 - a purse or handbag $300 - a piece of jewelry (excluding engagement/wedding rings) hmm, not much. Most of my good jewelry are heirlooms passed down. Maybe $100?
Worth it? Regret it?
I regret nothing Actually, I really want a designer bag but I don't have $2k to play with right now. It is definitely on my to do list!
- a pair of jeans - under $100 - a pair of shoes - $150ish - a purse or handbag - $400 - a piece of jewelry (excluding engagement/wedding rings) - H has bought all my pricey jewelry. I did buy him a $1k+ watch for his wedding present.

I'm cheap. Please don't laugh.
a pair of jeans -$50, regret. I'm sticking to my $20 Levis. They last longer. a pair of shoes - $25, no regrets. a purse or handbag - $50, no regrets. a piece of jewelry (excluding engagement/wedding rings) - I don't buy much jewelry. Maybe a couple necklaces and earrings here and there at consignment shops. I think the most I've ever spent is $10. Everything else has been a gift.
- a pair of jeans: $215 - a pair of shoes: $400 - a purse or handbag: $100 - a piece of jewelry (excluding engagement/wedding rings): $150
No regrets. This is just what I've spent on myself since my nicer bags and jewelry have all been gifts; I'm more likely to buy myself an expensive pair of shoes than an expensive bag.
No regrets. I don't do expensive jewelry because I have a 5 year old who loves to play dress up. So I'm okay with her taking my things because it's all worth nada.
I think certain things like Jeans and Shoes are worth it. Jeans & Shoes that are more expensive feel better and last longer, but I still can't bring myself to spend over a hundred on those things. As far as purses go, I get bored with my bag easily, so I like to buy a lot of cheap ones and change them out often.
- a pair of jeans - a pair of shoes - a purse or handbag - a piece of jewelry (excluding engagement/wedding rings)
Worth it? Regret it?
Jeans - $70? Shoes - $130? Purse - $30? Jewelry - $70 - $80? I just remembered that I bought a $700 ring on a trip to Aruba because I liked it. I've been wearing it as my wedding ring since I haven't lost enough baby weight for my original band (or engagement ring) to fit...the 'baby' is 2 yrs old. I can't get it resized because the design goes around the whole band.
LOL, I've never had a reason to spend a lot of money on clothes/accessories.
Jeans $125, not worth it. Shoes $210, Ralph Lauren Boots, totally worth it Purse $900, not worth it, but am selling it to recoup at least some of my money Jewelry $400, totally worth it (my souvenir present from Hawaii)
- a pair of jeans- about $120 - a pair of shoes- $300 (boots) - a purse or handbag- $250 - a piece of jewelry (excluding engagement/wedding rings)- maybe $25? I don't really wear jewelry.
Worth it? Regret it?
Everything was totally worth it. I like to buy things that are good quality and last a long time. The above referenced jeans I've had at least five years and they still look awesome.
- a pair of jeans. Probably about $60 for a pair of $130 ones at the Rack. I still tend to like my Levi's though. DH however, spent about $200 on a pair for me last Christmas. - a pair of shoes $190 or so. Actually, that would be DH again for my riding boots. x2. I think my limit is about $100. - a purse or handbag On the other extreme, $850 and willing to spent more. There's a $3K Gucci that I adore but it's white so I can't talk myself into it because of the dirt issues.) - a piece of jewelry (excluding engagement/wedding rings) I think just under or about $1K on a 3ct certified tennis bracelet. I have other jewelry that's more expensive that DH bought me - such as a couple pairs of diamond earrings - but my personal purchases are generally fire sales at fine(r) jewelers (75% off a $600 necklace, 75% off my tennis bracelet (certified but purchased at Macy's so I know it's not the best out there - I'd always wanted one, it was certified and Macy's was discontinuing a contract with an outside vendor so they were on a huge sale), 80% off my journey necklace at a store going out of business, etc.) or boutique stores (I just spent a few hundred on pieces at a boutique going out of business. The pieces were a couple hundred dollars each but with the sales I ended up paying a couple hundred for five pieces. That type of thing).
Worth it? Regret it? Still love the purse (have a few, mostly Coach and Kate Spade, that were a few hundred each but I love my garnet Burbery satchel) and would spend the money (or have DH spend it, which he wouldn't understand and wouldn't do, I'm sure. Diamonds make sense, purses not so much. lol.) Love my boots and get compliments and questions on them several years later, love most of the jewelry but don't wear it often enough to really warrant the expense and sometimes ask myself why on earth I spent the money (except the studs and bracelet. That bracelet was well worth what I paid. I've never found anything comparable at a similar price.) The jeans? The pair DH bought are nice and very comfortable but I still prefer my Levi's, I think.
