Are people confusing bathing with how often they wash their hair? Because my hair dresser has told me to not wash my hair every day.... but that doesn't mean I don't shower.
My hair is a stringy greasy mess if it goes more than 2 days without washing.
I am a sweaty person, when I worked I showered every single day without fail. Now that I don't work, I will go every other day. I have been guilty of going 3 days before during the winter, when I know I'm not leaving the house, but the minute I want to leave the house - my butt is in the shower because no one is seeing me gross!
During the summer, it is daily. Sometimes twice a day. We don't have air conditioning and our house gets hot as shit. There is nothing worse than being really hot and sweaty.
ETA: Uh yah, for the ones saying it takes too much time. What? Why would you NOT want to feel clean?!

That's nasty. I shower and wash my hair every day. I have fine hair, it looks bad if I don't wash it and blow dry every day.
I am side eyeing the whole "its such a waste of time" argument. Washing your dirty ass is a fabulous use of time. It takes 5 minutes or less to shower FFS.

Dude. emilie's rat is now cleaner than some of those people.
The hairwashing thing doesn't bother me. I wash daily because my hair is oily but I know that other people don't need that. Also, I can vouch for eb. I've sat next to her and she didn't smell badly.
I wash twice, MAYBE three times a week. As I've admitted many times before, my hair is in a dirty bun for a better half of the week.
But yeah, I fucking LOL'ed at "bathing, brushing my teeth and going to the bathroom are a waste of time!" I guarantee you, they are not a waste of time to the people who have to be around you.
I get being lazy, but dude. Just admit you're lazy and don't want to. This whole "dry skin" thing makes me lol, because I lived in Phoenix and Tucson and I never had a problem showering daily.
Dry skin is REAL man! But I think super cold and dry is different than "southern" dry. No seriously, in the winter I really can't shower daily every week. I have to do every other day a lot of the time (unless I'm working out or otherwise feel gross). My skin literally cracks and bleeds in the winter when it's dry- and not just my hands. Lotion is not a solution. Believe me, if I felt like I was dirty on that middle day, I'd shower regardless of my skin.
My mom's dry skin was not a joke. I have it too but not as bad as she did. She spent weeks hospitalized on IVs because of it. Her doctor forbade baths, preferred she only shower a couple a times a week but my mom usually did shower every day - however they really were 5 minute showers. She got in, got wet, washed as quickly as possible, rinsed and got out. No hair washing in the shower ever as it took too much time. She lived in North Central Ohio and maybe dry skin here is different than dry skin other parts of the country but it was a very serious issue for her.
I get really skeeved out when people who work out regularly don't shower AND wash their hair. IMO, if your hair isn't nasty with sweat after a workout, you didn't work out hard enough.

That's gross. I don't love showering because of the massive amount of effort required to wash and blow dry my hair, but I'd rather be clean than dirty. The only time I EVER skip a shower is if I'm really, really sick. But even then I can only go one day.

What?
I workout 5x a week. I pile my hair on top of my head and yes, I sweat. I use dry shampoo. This isn't hard.
Sorry, I think hair looks gross if you're sweating a lot and then just add dry shampoo. I've tried it. I wanted it to work. It just looked and felt gross and I know how to correctly apply dry shampoo.

I have the worst dry skin, but there is no way I'd go a day without bathing. I use baby oil and medicated lotion in the winter when it's really bad, but I still bathe every day.

Okay. Then I guess you can just sit there and be skeeved out then lol.
I have dry skin and hair and showering every other day (unless I've been doing something strenuous or worked out) has proven to be the best thing for me. I tried going three days without washing my hair and NO. OMG NO. It was gross. Every other day is my personal limit.

Does your theory only apply to white people? My hair would be fvcked if I washed it daily or even every other day.
Well, if your hair doesn't look gross then clearly you're not working out hard enough, kirkette!

Yes, yes it does. Sorry! Ethnic hair/normally dry hair not included.
Greasy hair just freaks me out, guys. Some people notice dirty nails on strangers or chapped lips, I notice greasy hair.
