We have sled dog races, snow bike races and polar bear plungers in the winter Great water sports, hiking, biking, fishing and hunting in the summer.
We still have a good 4 feet of snow in our yard with more coming tonight and tomorrow. Winter, as lovely as it is, is much too long. The short summer is the best anywhere = 75 degrees and no humidity
When you walk down my street you pass redwoods and end up at a water front park. If you go the other direction you are up a "mountain" with views around the bay. Drive a bit and you get to the golden gate bridge, wine country, dramatic cliffs, great surfing and cool beaches.
Nearby is (was) one of the largest and oldest bald cypress trees in the world. It was around before the pyramids were built. Last year, it burned down because a druggie wanted to start a fire to be able to see/light her crack pipe. Seriously.
To speak for my general region, we've also got a theme park or something like that around here. Maybe a couple. I think there's a mouse and a wizard and an orca associated with them.

I hope everyone in town kicked that douche in the ass.
