I love all these Denver ladies! We do have awesome water. I used to work for Wastewater Management and we worked closely with Denver Water. They do a great job. Centennial is a different water district, with their stupid lead-filled water. lol

winecat I NEED your cupcakes. Please come to our next GTG and bring me some of those lavender ones
I'd love to! I love GTGs and cupcakes! But, I work a lot so if it works out... So, are you on the local board under a different name? Or do I know you another way?

I've posted on the local like... twice maybe? I've just been around for a long time on the boards in general. I'm not a weird stalker, I promise!
I'll drink tap water after it's been run through a brita filter. Unless I HAVE to, I won't usually drink water straight from the tap for taste reasons. Though as a kid my mom wouldn't let us for health reasons (polluted water, didn't trust the wells)
So it would seem a GTG with Denver tap water and cupcakes is in order. If we're doing this at the convention center, I'd like a group photo in front of the blue bear or dancing with the gigantic stick people.
I love our tap water here. I prefer it over the water our fridge makes because I'm convinced the fridge water is full of chemicals. Which makes no sense because I eat the ice from it. Lol.
I do not drink tap water, though I do cook with it and give it to the cat. I never drank bottles water until a few years ago. I could never go back to tap water. Our city water has a funny taste to it.

lol, isn't it just the tap water run through a filter?
Lol, probably! I know it's weird. When my husband fixes a glass of water for me, he's always like "don't worry, I got it from the tap". Lol!

Yet Another Denver Lurker I'll come to the tap water drinking GTG if we can combo it with the knitting club you ladies are starting (the local board had one with cupcakes for a while, but it fizzled out)

Yes, I drink tap water. Some places have weird-tasting water, but usually I'll ignore it (if I'm only there for a short time). It took me a while to get used to the taste of the water here when I moved from W. to N. Texas.

I do. My city's water company actually bottles their water, and donates the bottles to community events and fundraisers that request it. It seems a little odd to me, but maybe it's common practice.
But the tap water here is known to be of pretty high quality, and I do notice a big difference when I drink tap water in other cities.
My city just sends a giant water truck to events. You can fill whatever vessel you have. And if you haven't got anything, most places will offer event specific plastic steins for 2$. Our giant hippie festival each year also requires you use these steins at the beer tent.
If it is what is available, sure. Our fridge has filtered water, but I hardly change the filter so...I'm sure I'm drinking nothing better than tap water. It builds some immunity, yes?

I didn't think you were, I was just wondering if I know who you are IRL or from the other board.

I used to HATE the ice from my parents fridge ice maker. It had a strange smell that bothered me. Nobody else could smell it though.

I read this as "I eat the ice cream from it" and was thinking: YOUR FRIDGE MAKES ICE CREAM?!

Denver represent! Why did I never even know about this fun board? I usually post on the local board (although not super often), but now I will definitely be over to play here more often!
I think we absolutely need a tap water drinking, cupcake eating, panda loving GTG.
