I have a friend who is constantly posting things on FB like "Just came home to two new pairs of shoes and a Coach purse. He spoils me!!!" This is like 2 or 3 times a month.
The thought of my husband buying me shoes is both hilarious and weird. I cannot imagine this ever happening. I'm not talking about gifts for special occasions, or where you have specifically mentioned something you want. Like just randomly going shopping for you and picking out shoes and purses.
Is this only weird to me? Am I just jealous and bitter because my H doesn't do this? Lol.
no, he has NO fashion sense at all. but he does say things like " you have helped me out so much around the house and with the baby on top of your normal work... go spend money and buy yourself an outfit/get your nails done, etc." it's not like i wouldn't do that for myself anyway, but I consider that meaning I can get EXTRA stuff, so I do! lol
Nope. For one thing, it's so freaking hard for me to find things that fit and I don't know how he could do it without me. And my feet are very finicky, which he knows.
He does get me little treats and gifts, but definitely not clothes or shoes.

Yeah - little treats and gifts are awesome. I think it's the fact that it's like shoes and clothing items that seems weird. My H wouldn't even know where to start with that stuff.
No, he wouldn't know what to get me, really, and he does not like to spend money at all. Every once in a while he'll send me for a haircut, though, or he'll tell me to order something I've had my eye on using our joint account instead of my personal account.
I tried on a pair of wedges on Saturday at Nordstrom Rack. He was all "please get them and wear them with shorts" (lol)
I didn't get them but regretted it. He went after work to grab a pair of shoes for himself and to pick up the jeans he had altered and came home with the shoes.
I think he is too scared to do it normally but he knew they fit and that I liked them. He did say he was tempted to grab a couple other pairs.
He'll bring me home tee-shirts that his friends may have made or something. But he doesn't go shopping and buy me things. Neither would I do that for him.

No, and I don't for him either. We are both pretty picky.
He has occasionally bought me a dress or something I am looking at while we are shopping together, but he would never buy something for me without knowing if I liked it.
