You look fantastic! That is a wonderful accomplishment so far. Best of luck with the last few pounds you are aiming for!
I love seeing these types of posts because it keeps me motivated to see others do so well. I'm *so* close to hitting that 20lb loss mark and I have found like you that MFP has helped a ton. Portion control is huge and my elliptical got me moving. Back in March I signed myself up for a 5k that was in June and it really kept me in check. I did NOT want to be the last one across the finish line.

madringal, I'm curious about your calorie counting. Do you measure out all your portions? This is the hangup I have about counting calories. It just seems to take all the joy out of food. Also, how much time do you spend entering your foods? It seems so tedious to me!
I have gained 15 pounds in the past year and NEED to make a change, so I am willing to make this part of my routine if necessary.

Yes, I measure all my portions. After losing about 20 lbs, i bought a cheap-o food scale from Walmart to make sure I was being accurate on my meat portions bc those are really hard to do by cup. It truly takes very little time. I have measuring cups and tablespoons and teaspoons everywhere. My big jar of coffee creamer as a tablespoon in it. My rice has a 1/3 cup in it. The sugar has a teaspoon in it. This helps make it a little easier. I track all my food before I have finished my cup of coffee for the morning. This helps me plan my days. I found that I was ending my days with 150 calories left for dinner or 800 calories to left eat at 8 pm. So by planning my meals, I can make sure I use up all my calories evenly throughout the day. Also, if I know we will be going out to dinner, or there will be carry in at work, I can plan accordingly.
At first it took a little more work, but MFP saves everything and all my recipes, so its not as much work. I love food, and don't find this to take out the joy. I eat the things I love, but it keeps me accountable to eating proper portions. This is why I keep my MFP diary open to the public too. I'd be too embarassed to say I ate three pieces of birthday cake!
