DID YOU KNOW that at one time they used to have the UK Home Secretary witness the actual birth so as to ensure that the royal heir was in fact birthed live and another baby wasn't substituted? The tradition ended in the '30s.
I heard that they now do a DNA test at birth to make sure nobody switched babies and the baby is actually of royal blood. I'm not sure how true that is but it sounds kind of logical.
Huh. Well that makes sense. For some reason it never even occured to me.
I heard my kid waking up from his nap and he's going to have to wait. I hope there are some fun toys in his crib today. I have NOT had this tab open for an hour for nothing.
I'm amused that apparently Prince Charles was born on the floor of a palace bathroom.
where did you learn this? omg. wasn't elizabeth already queen by then? you'd think there would be some better service for the reigning monarch.
also, gray sweater, STAY INSIDE or bring the baby next time. ffs.
She didn't become Queen until Charles was 4. Like all the previous royals she had a home birth. in fact QE II was born by c/s at home as was her younger sister.
