How did Sam get to be mayor? Where did Pam go - was she with Eric? Why is Sookie with Alcide? That came out of nowhere. And I still don't get what that Violet chick had to do with anything.

I thought Sookie was with alcide for awhile in the books.
Maybe Nora died quicker because it was injected directly into her bloodstream? I would assume the infected vampires would eventually die of the disease soon too.

They said something about the HepV virus mutating, which is what I am assuming makes crazy vampires. It was annoying to just wrap the whole Warlow story line up in a quick pretty pink bow like that even though I thought the whole plot line sucked. It seemed to be a last minute decision, as Warlow has a total 180 character change. I'm mad they killed off Terry but annoyed that they gave it so much attention. I also think it's ridiculous to have a gathering of the entire town out in the middle of the woods, at night, with alcohol, with droves of crazy vampires wandering around.
Erics penis! Sort of! If you pay close attention! Was I the only staring at his junk as he stood up? No way hes dead, if Terry gets an entire seasonal arc to die, no way thats how theyd kill off Eric.
Yeah I had my eyes on his junk region hoping and praying as he stood up the after the flash of his goods I snapped back out of my trance and was like no Eric hide run fly do something
Pam has to save him It'll be perfect
Andy's daughters were growing so fast for the first few of their episodes now this last daughter has been two weeks old for like three episodes Shouldn't she be like 40 now or something?
Alcide (bright eyes lol) is alright, but I still want her in with Bill. I liked it best that way for some reason.
I'm not big into blonde men so I had a healthy respect for Eric just he wasn't my fav but this season (and maybe last?) his hair is much darker and damn damn damn he looks fantastic like that, shit how can one person look so damn good.
And I don't think those were zombie vampires, weren't they the vampires infected with Hep V? Did I miss something? Because that's what I thought they were.

Something tells me the mutation of the hep v is allowing the infected vamps to stay "alive" by feeding on the non infected folks Almost diluting it if u will
Nora had a full syringe into her bloodstream, these vamps had it over time in lowered doses drinking it from the true blood bottles in the stores
I'm prob wrong though who knows, things have changed so much

And can anyone explain the beginning (of every episode, the song?) It's just gross and seems to have not a lot to do with the show. Except my best guess is that the real things that happen down south can be worse/more unbelievable than this fiction?

I think it's supposed to be gross. It's true blood.
I think the beginning tied in much more with the first couple of seasons.
Voodoo and more Louisiana backwoods kind of stuff.
That said, this season was done with new producer/writers since Alan Ball left to do Banshee. When the show was first started, Ball intended to have the vamps 'come out of the coffin' and had themes similar to being gay in America. The show didn't follow much in the books, other than general characters, being in Bon Temps, etc. The intro tries to capture the general original themes.
The new producer said (at Comic-Com) that he felt the show strayed way too far off course the last couple seasons and this season was the wrap up of all of that. He said his intention was to get the show back on track with one main theme: humans vs. vamps. He said he wasn't going to kill off the weres and shifters we have come to love (ie. Alcide and Sam) since they are still human after all, but get the us vs. them part of show back. I think he did that pretty well given everything he needed to wrap up. I'm very interested to see how the 'friendly' vamps handle all of this...the new season is the return of the real True Blood. If done well, I could see a few good seasons left!
I saw the penis!! All I have to say is that after seeing it I feel there is no way Eric is gone for good. I bet next season they spend a few episodes on Pam looking for him with maybe some more flashbacks and lots of Zombie vampire fighting. I thought the whole Warlow situation was a little too neatly tied up at the end and I am also all WTF at Sookies church outfit. It was way too old lady.
