I'm a regular on CEP, an occasional on MM, H&G, and H&F, and not a gamer at all.
I am, however, a giant geek because I like to read about economics and technology in my spare time. I also LOVE sci-fi. Right now we are busy introducing our kids (aged 7 and almost 6) to Star Wars and I am proud to announce that they loved episodes 4 & 5, thought 6 was OK, were bored with 1, and thought 2 was OK. So far, their assessments are spot on. ::wipes tear::

Hi.... I lurk and occasionally post on CEP and MM.
I was really into gaming through college, but got burned out on gaming in general after 6 years playing WoW. I tried to get back into it recently but the game has changed too much and half of my guild has quit too so it's just not the same /sad . DH is really into gaming, classic and new, so I do play with him sometimes.
I love fantasy books and some sci-fi (favorites - Song of Ice and Fire, Wheel of Time, HP, Robin Hobb's various trilogies, Terry Pratchett), and many fantasy & sci-fi TV shows. I'm currently re-watching Buffy and Angel side-by-side, I won't say how many times I have done this. DH introduced me to Star Trek and Doctor Who a couple of years ago, but I didn't make it very far into the Matt Smith series. Maybe once it's over I'll give it another chance... We've gone to several Star Trek conventions together and wear our TNG crew uniforms. I also like Stargate and Firefly.

I post a little on a few boards.
I have a 2 year old daughter. My gaming loves include Final Fantasy, Mass Effect, Portal, Bioshock, and Dishonored. I mostly play on the 360, but we have a ps3 and a Wii, too. And I have a Nintendo DS. My nerdy TV loves include Whedon stuff, Being Human (I've only watched season 1 of the uk version so far). I'd probably like GoT, but I'm working through the books. We don't have cable so I have to watch everything through Netflix or Amazon Prime. :-)
Sorry I'm late. I post over on ML. I've played Sims since 2004 although took a long break and just got back on recently. Heavily invested in Harry Potter. I love the old Super Nintendo games, I had all perfect scores on Yoshi's Island as a kid and loved Zelda too. I know this sounds really lame but I haven't played Xbox or play station because there are SO MANY BUTTONS. I am not that coordinated.
Pretty good at Clue but no one will play with me because I take too many notes apparently (but I WIN yo!). I also quote movies a lot. I'll watch pretty much any superhero movie that comes out and Battlestar Galactica is one of my favorite shows of all time.

Just stumbled across this board and this thread.
I am another Sims player. I've played Sims 1, 2, Sims Medieval and now 3. I became friends with a girl when we were working in the same office, randomly went out to lunch together and discovered that we both play the Sims. 5 yrs later, we are still friends and we can still talk about the Sims hehe. I'm one of those people who will walk away for a while but I always come back.
I have also played Civilization and other similar games. When I game, I'm kind of addicted to "playing God". I like to create detailed imaginary worlds.
I also just generally like playing games whether board games, card games or more simple computer games. I find it really relaxing.
I also have got a fairly uncool level of interest in history, random facts and various cultures which I am completely ok with.
I mostly lurk on ML, did the same on TN. I'm in a waaay different time zone, so by the time i see the interesting posts, everyone has moved on. That, plus work had both sites blocked at some point, it just wasn't really worth it to me to post much *eeyore*
But NOW, i have access to the site during the day and the Sims talk on ML got me all fired up, so here I am!
I'm not much of a gamer, though. I grew up playing all of the hot new consoles and games, then life took over and i stopped until I discovered SIMS on my BB. About 6 months ago, i got SIMS3 and i've been addicted ever since. I jsut got Generations about 2-3 months ago and i'm about to buy Uni Life and Seasons this weekend thanks to the amazing sale someone posted on ML.
I'm a regular lurker and occasional poster on ML and a longtime regular on H&G, no married but been with my fiance for almost 10 years, no kids just a little devil cat (Wednesday). I prefer computer games, Diablo 3 and WoW are the current, but I'll also do some console games.
I work for a software dev company and do some minor coding at work. I'm a computer / tech nerd all the way.
Currently on PS3, with Call of Duty being my most consistently played game. I've binge played the Borderlands 2 DLCs in the last year. I played through Tomb Raider and Uncharted 3 in the past few months, and am currently waiting for my BF's friend to return Bioshock Infinite so I can tackle that.
I've only dabbled in PC games (Myst, HOLLA!), but have a bunch of various console games dating back to NES. I played a lot of Goldeneye in college. A LOT. Also PS1 stuff like Tomb Raider series, Resident Evil series, Silent Hill, some racing games. When I was married, I used my H's PS2 and 360, but then I got divorced and bought the PS3. Scifi loves include a full-blown Whedon obsession, X-Files, BSG, zombie stuff. I've only seen a couple of Dr. Who episodes but saw all of Torchwood (new eps coming soon!). Uh, what else...The Matrix is probably my all time favorite movie. And yes, I admit it. THE HUNGER GAMES. Hate on!
My current boyfriend is way more into games than my previous SOs, so I'm probably getting drawn into it more now just because it's no longer discouraged by my partner. He's really into LoL, so I have attempted that, but I'm too intimidated to jump into playing online. He does marketing for anime shows, so I started watching some of that, namely Attack on Titan. Which is really good, but lord, do they yell a lot.
Hello everyone. I post on April 2012 moms, and lurk with the occasional posting on ML, CE&P, pets, and crafts.
I play the Sims games, Civ 5, and Simcity4. I'm not big into game consoles these days, the toddler trying to grab the controller out of my hand might have something to do with that.
I love Doctor Who, Firefly, Southpark, Futurama, and quite a few other TV shows.
My H is not a geek/nerd at all, and frequently makes fun of me. I did get him into Firefly and Sherlock, though, but there is no way you could consider him a "fan", he just likes it.

I'm married with a 4 year old. I bounce around from board to board. I play PS3 and computer games. I play a lot of first person shooters. I've been playing a lot of Black Ops 2 lately. I also play Sims 3 on the computer.

Pretty good at Clue but no one will play with me because I take too many notes apparently (but I WIN yo!). I also quote movies a lot. I'll watch pretty much any superhero movie that comes out and Battlestar Galactica is one of my favorite shows of all time.
I love Clue. One of my fondest childhood memories is having a sleepover at my grandparent's house and playing Clue. My Grandma would make me a bowl of ice cream with extra chocolate sauce and my Grandpa would play me in game after game of Clue.
I was always bummed when my little sisters would come with us because it meant we'd have to play Clue Jr. instead of actual Clue.

I love Clue! Did you ever see the movie? It had Tim Curry and was awesome .
Hi, I'm Nonny, I post primarily on MM, and occasionally jump in on CE&P and ML.
I'm a huge entertainment geek and watch way too much TV. My current favorite past time is pointing out to my H all the reasons why Under the Dome the awful TV series is nothing like the book which I really liked. Orphan Black is on my list of to be watched, and I'm very slowly starting to get into Dr. Who.
I got officially engaged during an episode of Star Trek TNG, and I don't hate on Wesley, I hate on Alexander who is by far a thousand times worse than Wesley ever was.
First person shooters are not my thing; I'm much more of a casual gamer (including board games, but no D&D, I've never played).
In the interest of full disclosure, I work on the Xbox (but not on games). Anything I say about game consoles will be extremely biased (and generally you won't see me chiming in on that topic). My opinions are my own and don't reflect that of my employer.

Not a gamer here, but most definitely a geek. I don't even know where to start.
I have a comic book collection.
I own the complete DVD set to pretty much every Joss Whedon series. (Except Angel. Just couldn't get into it. Keep thinking I should try again.)
I love Star Wars, Star Trek (fave is TNG), Dr Who (David Tennant forever!), anything Neil Gaiman, Batman, Monty Python, the Simpsons, Zork (does that count as gaming?), Eddie Izzard, and The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy. Just to list a random sampling.
My husband and I have a running joke where we hide rubber ducks all over the house (and beyond) for each other to find. The rubber duck collection keeps expanding, but currently includes superheroes, ninjas, zombies, firefighters (him), and nurses (me). And two giant inflatable ones that he left on the front seat of my car one day. But that's okay, because I just bought a rubber ducky shaped cake pan. There will be revenge!
Pretty good at Clue but no one will play with me because I take too many notes apparently (but I WIN yo!). I also quote movies a lot. I'll watch pretty much any superhero movie that comes out and Battlestar Galactica is one of my favorite shows of all time.

That's one of my favorite movies!
When you say that you play Clue, do you mean the board game or a computer version? I had an awesome PC version back in the day and I would be ecstatic if I could find it again.
I'm a little late to the party, but I'm Rhys. I normally lurk on ML.
H and I are major nerds and he was the one who got me into WoW back in the day. Since then, I've played diablo, guild wars, dragon age (LOVE), and the sims. I've read a few of the wow lore books but prefer the dragon age ones and am anxiously waiting for the new expansion release next year. Terry Goodkind's sword of truth is one of my favorite series (so excited to read the new book!) along with HP, wheel of time, game of thrones, kushiel's dart and a few others. I even joined a few HP RPGs back in the day, read a ton of fanfiction, etc. I am definitely a HP nut.
I also watch battle star, Star Trek (TNG and deep space 9), fringe, stargate and a bunch of other scifi shows that I can't think of right now.
