I think we should. All the new people I don't know, I've been telling them to introduce themselves. I never know what to say about myself though. Haha.

I'm mostly on ML as well. I was on the other site for a few months. I live in NJ and my brother got an NES the month before I was born, so I pretty much played video games since before I can remember. I have a PS3, WiiU, Wii and a 3DS in addition to my N64, Ps2 and FI's super nintendo.
I love RPG's, both american and japanese, adventure games and platformers. I used to work for gamestop for 4 years and I spent most of my salary on games, so my PS3 collection is absurd.
ETA: FI and I are also really into games like Dominion, Seven Wonders, Settlers of Catan and Race for the Galaxy.

Spidey has a huuge PS3 collection as well. What's your PSN? You can PM it to me if you want. We should play games sometime. What PS3 games do you like?

I like the Fallout & Elder Scrolls Games, the Assassin's Creeds, the different rockstar games (GTA, Red Dead, LA Noire), Mass Effect, Metal Gear Solid, and Dragon Age.
Right now I'm currently working on Borderlands 2 and Ni no Kuni.

Any games you would recommend for the WiiU? I plan on getting one in the next few months and would like to start with a few solid titles.
Oh hai! I spent forever on the other board mostly lurking. I've been hanging on ML for the past couple of months.
Although my Internet gaming days are behind me (I simply just don't have the time) I spent 5 years playing Everquest and countless years on WoW. H and I do a lot more board gaming now. Some favorites are Dominion, Mage Knight, Sentinels of the Multiverse, Descent and Galaxy Truckers.

We have New Super Mario Bros. U, Nintendo Land and Scribblenauts Unlimited. Our library is kind of sparse at the moment, but FI really wants to get Pikmin 3. Nintendo Land is surprisingly fun when you have friends over.
I also want to get Mario Kart 9, Donkey Kong Country Tropical Freeze, Super Mario 3D World, The LoZ Wind Waker remake when they come out this holiday season.
Hi, I'm Luna and I'm a nerd. My friends like to say I'm a closet nerd because I'm very girly and have a nail polish blog and then BAM I can hit them with an HP reference or try to explain Doctor Who and they remember who I truly am. H is the gamer in the family. He recently started playing a d&d game online and I like to watch him play. Before he was playing Star Wars old republic. We want to get a console so we can play the Lego games I love together. I've been into scifi and fantasy for as long as I can remember. My mom is a nerdy fancy lady too. We're a rare bunch.
Hey-o! I'm originally from Military Families, but I mainly post on Entertainment because I'm a tv and movie junkie/nerd. I lurk and randomly post on ML, H&G, and CE&P.
DH and I like to say that together we make a whole nerd. He does the computer and internet geek stuff but has never read Harry Potter or watched Who, whereas I spent two years as a TA for a freaking Harry Potter based college course and love Who, but have almost no awareness of anything going viral on YouTube. Our love of superhero crap is maybe our only common nerd denominator.
Um, I have a four year old that we're already training to be the ultimate nerd. Her favorite episode of Who is the one with those creepy wooden dollies and whenever I turn it on, she squeals and tells me I'm the best mom ever. So, that's a plus.
Umm... okay. Confession. I mostly hate the HP movies. When watched in a clip montage fashion, they can make me as teary as the next person, but the actual movies? Loathe. I can't wait for them to remake the whole series.
I'm late to this thread, because I have an early bedtime, so I missed it last night!
I'm married and have no children. Hopefully TTC this year. I've absorbed a lot of my nerdy stuff. My H got me hooked on Star Trek TNG and I was really sad when we finished it! I'm currently watching Dr. Who and, as I posted on ML, very sad right now about the current (to me) loss of David Tennant.
My H and I play video games, but not really gamer type video games...we are a Nintendo family lol. Love Zelda and the Mario games.
I also really like nerdy board/card games (Settlers of Catan, Dominion, Puerto Rico, Munchkin, etc)
Yay, I went to bed before this happened last night!
I'm Amelia and I'm a geek. It all started when my dad gave me Ender's Game in elementary school. After that I read everything science fiction. These days I'm mostly into hard SF/space opera. But I also love love love Neil Gaiman. Really looking forward to making a book thread that might have books I want to read in it.
I also love Whedon but am ashamed to say I've never watched Buffy. I need to get on that. Also obsessed with Doctor Who (obviously, lol).
Also, like scribellesam said, she's my sister! Yay for stalker families.
Hiii. I'm Vicky. I am a sci fi/fantasy geek. I love Terry Goodkind books, Terry Brooks, Robert Jordan, and of course we all know about my Harry Potter geekery.
Tonight I will be getting a Deathly Hallows tattoo on my right wrist.
I love Dr. who, Star Trek TNG and DS9.
About me? I'm a baker. I make kick ass pies and cupcakes. I am going through a divorce right now. Andddd... I'm pretty boring, lol.
Hi, I'm Pirate and I'm a geek! I tend to get really super into things for a while and then switch, so I used to be a huge Star Wars fan, then a huge Harry Potter fan, then became obsessed with WoW, et cetera. Currently I'm really into anime and cosplaying, particularly the crafting part of cosplay...not so much the "being in character" part, I suck at that, but I've learned a lot about sewing! Oh and after DragonCon is over I plan on re-downloading Sims 3 thanks to all you Sims geeks.
Hey all. I kind of post all over, Military Families, MM, ML. I'm in CO and thanks to my husband, have a PS3, XBox 360, Wii, PSP, DS, and a pretty sweet gaming laptop. I much prefer the PS over the Xbox, so that's where a majority of my gaming time takes place. I am a Fallout addict. The only game that I like more than Fallout is Castlevania: SOTN.
Im not too much into the Sci-Fi stuff. I think I'm going to start Dr. Who, since everyone is ga-ga for it. I never watched Buffy. I haven't seen Firefly, Fringe, or GOT. I don't know anything about comic books, though I did read all the Walking Dead ones.
I'm a massive book nerd and I'd say that's my "main" geek type. To me, there is nothing better than a cup of tea, a comfy afghan, some peace and quiet, and a very good book. Ahhhhh... I'm reading a book on The Simpsons and how it rose to where it is now, but that's only because I had limited library time and it was shiny and new. I prefer to read memoirs/non-fiction and don't read much fiction at all.

I usually participate on ML.
We do not do the gaming in our house, but between me and my H, we have LOTR/Hobbit, HP, Doctor Who, Star Wars, Star Trek, etc, covered.
Our kids are already into HP (books and movies), and I let them watch certain parts of certain Who episodes. I have no one, other than my H to discuss these things IRL, so I'm happy to have a place here for discussion!

I mostly post on ML. I posted on the other site for about 2 years before we moved here. I live in NJ, and I'm an engineer.
I love Star Trek, Star Wars, Doctor Who, Harry Potter, Sherlock, GoT (books only), Firefly/Serenity, Buffy, etc.
I've been playing The Sims since it came out in 2000, although sometimes I'll go a few months without it, and then become obsessed with it again. I've never tried WoW, because I'm sure I would become obsessed with it, and I really don't have time, lol.
Hi! I mostly post on ML or the BMB for my first son. I lurked on the old site for about two years before the jump here.
I'm a huge sci-fi/fantasy reader. I do the adult series (love Mercedes Lackey) but my favorites are all YA--Harry Potter being number one, but there are many others. I just put release dates for a bunch of books on my calendar so I will get a reminder to buy them.
I've been playing The Sims since 2000, although a lot less since kids arrived. I also loved Sim Tower. Played Oblivion for awhile but haven't in years. I occasionally return to Civilization when I want a strategy game. My husband is really into board games so we have a ton (seriously, I will PIP sometime) and every few months we host a game day in our house for 30-40 people.
I'm a little bit computer geek, little bit game geek, and little bit sci-fi geek. Not sure if that makes me a whole geek or not. I work as a product manager for an IT company, you have probably used the products my company makes but don't know it.
I mostly post on MM, and the Seattle board. We moved to CO earlier this summer with our dog and cat. No kids at the moment we are going to start the adoption process very soon.
H recently bought us beach towels as our new apartment has a pool at the complex - he bought me one that looks like the Tardis!

Hello- I don't know if I am geek enough to be here, but I'll try! I'm Jigsy, I post on MM and ML. I am not much of a gamer now a days, just no time! But I got started by playing Starcraft...moved on to WOW. Now I play Sims 3, lol.
Harry Potter is my life blood, and I would actually really like to go to a Potter Con, but have yet to...maybe someday.
I also really enjoy Sci-Fi and fantasy. I am currently finishing up reading GOT. I'm not sure what will be next.

Ooohhh. I'll join too! I'm also a closet geek, mostly with gaming though. I don't watch many movies of any kind.
I played Sims forever ago and just downloaded it again. Also a fan of WoW and EQ. We are playing EQ2 now and anxiously awaiting Next. I love CoD and played a ton of multiplayer Half-Life and Unreal Tournament back in the day.
Unfortunately, classes start again this weekend and with school, 2 jobs, and 4 kids, I won't be doing much of anything.
I live in New Jersey with MH and hang out on the Money Matters board. No kids, two cats.
I like cartoon shows like Futurama, Bob's Burgers, American Dad, Family Guy (not really the recent episodes though).
My favorite movie as a kid was Spaceballs. I also love Blazing Saddles and Young Frankenstein.
And I really love the classic episodes of The Simpsons. MH and I recently went to a Simpsons trivia night at a bar and we came in 9th place out of 38 teams.

I'm dr.girlfriend, and I'm a geek. Not a gamer, I'm probably mostly a television geek. And I'm definitely a geek in that if I like something it becomes my mission in life to MAKE ALL THE PEOPLES WATCH IT TOO OR MY HEAD WILL EXPLODE BECAUSE OMG THEY DON'T KNOW WHAT THEY ARE MISSING!!!
Current geekery is Doctor Who, Sherlock, and Orphan Black (thanks, theintended !). Past geekery is Firefly, Battlestar, and probably a bunch of other stuff I'm forgetting. My four-year-old is WAAAAY into Star Wars, despite never having seen the movies, so I'm getting up to speed on all my Star Wars vehicles and action figures.
Oh, and geek confession -- my son's middle name is Joss.

How could I forget about The Simpsons? This was our wedding cake. :-)

God, I love Orphan Black. Best show of the year. Did you finish it?

That's awesome!
I bought the Marge and Homer At The Prom figurine set with the intention of using it for our cake topper, but then my mom gave us a Lenox topper as an engagement gift and I would've felt bad if we didn't use it. But we used the Simpsons postage stamps on our RSVP cards (although I was expecting something WAY better when the USPS revealed the design - did they even really look like that in the Tracey Ullman days?):

Oh, that's right, I think YOU were the one who got me hooked! I always get confused when people have different names on Twitter versus GBCN. We LOVED it, and yes we finished the whole thing. So now, we wait. I think Felix is my new favorite character on t.v. ever.
