I found out I was pregnant the day before my 10 year law school reunion, which was supposed to be a drunk-fest. I faked most people out with a clear fizzy drink with a lime, but a few of my friends figured it out. I felt a little sick in the mornings, so I just pretended to be slightly hungover when we woke up.
How are you feeling?
Good so far, thanks! I got a wave of nausea on my way to work one day last week and thought it might be a sign. Otherwise I haven't had any issues at all!

That's great. Fingers crossed it stays that way for you!
Yayyyyyyyyyy! Congratulations! My doctor won't see me for another two weeks, so I feel your pain. There are online calculators that will tell you your due date based on LMP.
Are you telling family? DH and I decided NOT to tell anyone until after our first doctor's appointment. Getting through Thanksgiving week with my ILs will be so hard. I'm not sure I will be able to keep this to myself.
My first appointment is the day before I leave for Vegas for my mom's 60th birthday (I'll be eight weeks at that point). I don't see how I can be sober in Vegas for three days without copping to the reason, so I will tell my family then and H's right after (right around Christmas).
I'm not sure what to do with my friends. This is like the worst time of year to try and hide a pregnancy. We will be attending so many holiday parties, and I rarely turn down a drink. One of my questions for MMM is how to make it through holiday parties, because I don't necessarily want the whole world to know when I'm six weeks along!
Congrats!
Like you, I am never one to turn down a drink. My advice is to always have a wing man. Over the summer, DH was in charge of getting me sprites w/ a splash of cran and a lime at all functions. If we were at a BBQ or other non-fancy event, he would wash out a beer bottle and fill it with water. Worked like a charm!

Have bartender make you a cranberry/sprite mix (looks like cran-vodka) or other sly way... Thats what I did!
I found out I was PG two days before Christmas. I would get myself a drink, take teeny sips and put it down next to DH's drink. He would take a big gulp and put it back down. This worked well at house parties when only beer and wine were offered, but DH always ended up drunk! Guess it was good that I was safe to drive At bars, I would have DH order me a Sprite with lime and pretend it was a vodka tonic.
Lol I have two friends from my BMB (pg with their 2nd) who are on that board!
I don't mean anything particular against the July board. I am definitely lurking there. I just find the quality of responses so much lower on the bump than on GBCN.
