Our pattern is discontinued now, but it's from Pfaltzgraff. It's not the fine china, but is porcelain, and dishwasher safe. We don't see a need for having fine china, so this is "everyday" china. We registered for 8 settings and my mom bought all of it (set of 4 settings was around $80 I believe). When I found it was discontinued, I bought another set of 4 just in case we want more settings or anything breaks. We've only been married less than a year, but I think the pattern is something I won't get tired of.

We have a combination of Kate Spade Nag's Head and Pinney's Beach (plates are Nag's Head, bowls and tea cups/saucers are Pinney's Beach). It's microwave/dishwasher safe and we love it.
we registered for 12 settings, but 4 each of 3 different designs. They were all variations of white china w/ a platinum rim, though. We liked the eclectic look & I figured if any of the designs got discontinued, I could just add another design & it not look out of place.
I love mixing & matching everything. Ours is Noritake which was really affordable since I didn't want to spend tons of money on something that would just be used a few times/year.
How many sets? 4 individual place settings and 1-12 person completion set.
How many did your receive? 3 of the individual place settings. It was originally so popular that it was out of stock at all stores for a year. I am saving to complete the set myself now that it's back.
Do you still love the pattern? Absolutely! DH and I received the casual daily pattern set from Gibson that we registered for and use that daily along with our casual flatware pattern. We use our china and lenox silver only on anniversaries, but plan to use them more when our family expands.
We have casual china, Lenox Vibe. I'm so glad we went with this because we use it everyday. They are also white so I can change up table settings without having to worry about clashing colors.
We registered for 12 place settings, received eight and have since bought the other four, as well as the other items (gravy boat, platters, bowls, etc.). I love it - we only use it for special occasions, but it makes me so happy when we do. And it looks really pretty in our buffet.
It's called Imperial, by Lenox - it's a retired pattern. My grandmother gave us the whole set - got it from an estate sale, 12 settings + lots of serving pieces, etc.
So, we didn't register for any china.
I have never once used the china- but i love that i have it, mostly b/c my grandmother gave it to us- but I would NOT have wanted to give up other gifts we needed or cash to have china... so if we had to register for it- we wouldn't have.

We only asked for Corelle because we didn't feel that we needed formal dishes in addition to everyday stuff. We asked for place settings for 12 and got them all from DH's godmother, who lived in Corning NY and worked for the company at the time. I still love the pattern, and I am super impressed with the quality. After 8 years of heavy use, one bowl and one plate have small chips. Nothing has broken. The pattern is now discontinued.
Over the years, I did develop a hankering for fancy dishes for special occasions. I'm glad I didn't register for it because there were like a million things we needed more at the time. DH got china for me as a birthday gift about 3 years ago. I like the pattern better than any that we looked at during our engagement. I think my tastes run more in line with 1940s styles than current styles.
I have this one. It is dishwasher safe and microwave safe. I use it every day and have for 8 years. I have broken 1 piece. I got 17 place settings for my wedding. It is much better than any of the plate sets I had before and has held up much better. Of course it cost more, but I have no interest in having it when I am 80, so I use it now.
We took back the 2place settings of china we received. We already had an adequate set of dishes for holiday hosting, so we bought fun every day plates instead.
We hated registering--it felt like we were pressured into signing on for things we were supposed to get instead of what we really wanted or needed. Bbb is very persuasive.
Registered for 12, received 6 or 8. Bought the rest within a year or two of the wedding.
We don't use it as much as I thought we would. We'd use it more if we didn't also own a complete set of 12 place settings of Christmas dishes too. (Gift from my mom.)
Love my Corelle! Bought two sets, which equals 8 settings, only $100. I'm really not into fancy china. I still like the set but if I tire of it, I won't feel bad getting a new set since these were so inexpensive.
We have 12 place settings, I think. Both our families are Southern, so fine china (or crystal or silver) is the default wedding gift, so we got it all for our wedding. We also have some serving dishes, soup bowls, tea cups, coffee pot, and gravy boat.
It's a very simple pattern, and I hope it proves to be timeless! I do still love it.
We have a dining room set with a china cabinet, so our fine china is in the glass fronted cabinet. We have used it several times, although I wish we used it more!
Our everyday china is Kita from Crate & Barrel, and I still love that too.
Lenox Chirp. We registered for 8 place settings, 8 wine glasses and 8 champagne flutes. We only got two champagne flutes, which is fine - and honestly, we only just fulfilled our desired number of place settings - my mom has been buying us a couple each year for our anniversary.
Apparently it's discontinued, b/c I can't find a picture anywhere, lol!
It's Annie china from Crate and Barrel.
It's incredibly simple, but really beautiful: all white. We registered/got 8 place settings (I think...) and then proceeded to (gasp!) use it for everyday. Which was my mom's idea and seemed nuts, but worked out really well for us.
It's not actually as crazy as it sounds, though: we were living in a very tiny apartment and didn't have room to store both china and everyday dishes. Because the design was so simple, they've been fine for every day: I just add accent plates for holidays, etc. And I've used it practically every day!
Full disclosure...I'll probably also have my mom's china someday which is somewhat more ornate than mine and more of an heirloom than mine.
We have 14 complete place settings in Wedgewood Crown Gold, 12 dinner and salad plates in Raynaud Allee Royale, and 12 salad plates in Tiffany Holiday. I had a big, relatively Southern wedding where a few hundred people insisted on gifting me china, crystal, and silver (which is why I also own 72 stems of Waterford). We do use it, though generally only a few times a year. The "every day" dishes we registered for when we got married have long since gotten chipped up and been passed on. We generally use Fiestaware for every day now.
