I would not want to associate with the biz, especially based on my experience with it. You could not pay me enough to give up my ability to walk down the street or go to the movies or protect my child from paparazzi.
Yep. Sure would. People say money can't buy happiness, but it sure as hell can buy financial security and I'm a big fan of that.
I find that people who say that (and "money isn't everything") actually HAVE the money.
lol right. I was listening to a ted talk the other day. This guy has oodles of money and he decided he was tired of all his 'stuff', so he gave it all up and built a teeny apartment that is all convertible. Then he said something about how money can't buy happiness and you have to still work to find happiness in other ways. Riiiiight. Thanks for the helpful lesson, Mr. millionaire.

Yes, of course. Do you know what matt damon's kids look like? Meaning, if you saw them at the park without matt Damon there, would you know?
Can't say this about Ben affleck's kids.
A lesson in understanding that ir is totally possible to remain semi-private in show biz. These stars parade themselves and their families in from of the paps and the limelight and then claim they don't have any privacy. But certain people are able to remain private for weeks and months at a time.
I completely agree with this. Many stars manage to maintain levels of privacy. How about Meryl Streep's kids? She (and them by extension) have been in the industry for damn near forever. She has 4 of them, all adults now and I don't think I'd recognize a single one. And it's not like they hide, they go to awards shows and out with their mom all the time.
Really? Mamie and Grace do a ton of work in the industry.

Her two girls are actresses so I'd recognize them but I know what you are saying. Even most of Mia Farrow's kids would be fairly unrecognizable out and about. I think famous people who marry people who are less visibly famous or not famous at all have the easiest time. Who'd recognize Matt Damon's wife if he wasn't there?
Yes. In a heartbeat. I could do one movie and then live the rest of the year in solitude. I'd take ALL the vacations, buy a fabulous, private house, spoil my dog even more than now, buy my parents whatever they needed...it would be lovely. I wouldn't live in LA; I'd live in the mountains somewhere.

This would not make you a super star though.
Actors who are making $20 million a movie cannot go out of their house without being blasted by the paparazzi, Sandra Bullock, Cameron Diaz, Julia Roberts, Tom Cruise, Brad Pitt, etc.
