We have a cold front coming through and I beat my best Dubai 5 mile time by 2:47! WITH a 22 mph headwind for half of it (um, oh yeah, and tailwind for half...I'm not counting that part).
I ran 9.3 miles today during my races which is a distance PR of 2.3 miles. I am not sure it counts because I stopped for 15 minutes... What do H&F judges think?

I ran in 34 degrees which felt like 20 with 25 mile an hour winds. This is crazy cold for this Floridian. I only made it 6.3 miles before I couldn't take anymore. I was wearing wayyy too many layers to be that cold lol But I did it!

I did my first 4 mile race yesterday, so instant PR. However, I did beat any other time I've run 4 mi by 6 minutes so I'm giving myself a tiny little pat on the back.

I ran 30 miles this week! Including 5 miles yesterday during the gap between the service and party for my nephew's bar mitzvah. Now, I replaced those calories fairly quickly with wine throughout the rest of the evening, but still.
Half AW and PR here! This was my second, and my first was 2:08:53, but I had bronchitis and had been on vacation for a month shortly before that race, so it's a cheater's result to PR, but...1:53:05! I am so excited!
This was my A goal this year, because we leave for a kid free vacation on Wednesday, and then start TTC #2. I'd initially hoped to just be under 2:00, but revised it down to 1:55 after training went well.
Love of my life baby boy born 11/11. One and done not by choice; 3 years of TTC yielded 4 MMC and 2 CPs, through 4 IUIs and 2 IVFs. Focusing on making the world a better place instead...and running.

You should make a separate post for this because that's damn impressive! Nice work.

mush - your PR totally does deserve it's own post! Way to go.
Now for my AW. Well, it hasn't happened yet. I'm hoping to hold myself accountable by posting this. I've been swamped with work all weekend...About 12 hours yesterday and I've been at it since 5:30 this morning. But... I'm not ready to scrap my weekend run just yet. I'd originally changed my plan to 13 (and decided to move 20 miles to next weekend.) But, I'll be happy and call it an AW if I can manage 9-10 tonight on the treadmill when I get home. Here's hoping.
I was about to bail on a run completely when I read some sappy quote about changing my viewpoint from "I have to run" to "I get to run" and off I went. The first 2 miles sucked balls...slow, sucky balls. But the last 5 miles of my 8.5 were 8:28, 8:23, 8:20, 8:15 and 8:05. And they felt fanfuckingtastic.
AND, it's spring break this week, so I don't even need to dread the rest of the day.
I'll go ahead and AW my 8K from yesterday - 50:39, avg 10:08/m, including a 20 second wait for my friend at mile 3, and a walking water (err....beer) stop along the way (St Patty's race!)
I'm thrilled because I felt so strong during the race, and know my crosstraining is paying off. I was racing for fun, so I can't wait to see what I do in 2 weeks at my 15K. I'm just happy to love running again

I had a 7k race on Saturday. I wanted to see if I could get close to my PR from 2011 - 7:45 pace. I managed a 7:50 pace and have a feeling I could have got that 7:45 if it weren't so crowded. I definitely had more in the tank when I finished. Oh well. I was over 2 minutes faster than last year, so that is awesome.
If I do this race again, I might go for the 1/2 because the 7k is getting out of hand. 10,000+ finishers.
I won first place in my age group at my 5K on Saturday. 26:39 (not a PR by any stretch, but I'm happy with my time). Now if only I could continue my 8:08 Miles 1 and 2 paces into Mile 3!!!

Congratulations breannie; that's awesome! Race report to come on the blog??
That race does sound like it's getting huge. A March half seems like good motivation for January / winter training!

Thanks! Oh man...my blog is so neglected! I keep it because I have hopes to pick it up again someday when I have time. So far, that hasn't happened.
I think I could have done the 1/2 this year...it wouldn't have been a race effort, but I could have finished. I actually debated on changing races last week, but decided against it. Maybe next year. It will depend on the kind of winter we have, too!
