I do. Usually BB cream, a little mascara, blush and a tinted lip balm. I never used to, but then I started running with a friend that loved to post selfies of us before and after races, and I didn't want to break her camera. Ha.
Hell no. I do as little as possible before a race. I don't even brush my hair. Just pull it up. Of course I only wear makeup to school, and on special occasions, and even then it's only shadow, liner, and mascara.
So those of you who put on makeup, do you shower before a race too? Makeup is part of my weekday "routine", so is that it?
One of my running friends goes all out. It's ridiculous. She was spraying hairspray in her hair, fluffing up her ponytail, before a half. One of the guys said, "Did you see X after the race? She looked like a member of KISS." LOL
I know I could probably get stuff that doesn't run, but I just don't really care enough to put forth the effort. (No shame in people who do, though.) I can't imagine it would help all that much with the sweaty mess I am after races.
I'll be an outlier and admit that I do wear a little. Like someone said above thread said, it's a little BB cream, and I do a little eyeliner/mascara/under eye concealer. It's taken a lot for me to get used to getting up early and running with a bare face, and I'm not there yet for races.
I've never had any problems with mascara running, though. When I run during the work day, I do end up wiping off a lot of the BB cream, but meh.
Love of my life baby boy born 11/11. One and done not by choice; 3 years of TTC yielded 4 MMC and 2 CPs, through 4 IUIs and 2 IVFs. Focusing on making the world a better place instead...and running.

I'm wondering if there are make up people who were anti deodorant people. That would be interesting rationale. Lol

I literally saw a Cinderella before and after at Princess. It was actually the same runner, I was super impressed. She looked awesome before hand. Afterwards? Ummm...more like a strung out Cindy.
Cover-up on any massive zits I might have is the only make up I wear for races. I don't sweat a ton, but I still never thought to wear anything other than that.

I don't shower but I do wash my face and put on sunscreen. Brush my hair and put in a ponytail for a running race and a french braid for a triathlon.
I wear makeup almost every day, even if it's just a little undereye concealer and mascara...which is exactly what I wear for a race. I wear waterproof mascara, did for all of my Tri's last year and I looked absolutely fine afterwards. Well...at least where eye makeup was concerned.
Never. I sweat too much. If it's a morning race I don't usually shower (sometimes I do in summer), but I always do wash my face and put on moisturizer and/or sunscreen.

No, not a bit. But I don't necessarily wear it every day anyway, and I'm usually a lot more anxious about making sure I don't oversleep or forget my bib or where I'm going or anything else to worry about how I look so much.

No. At the NYC 1/2 the other day, I was walking near these girls who were talking about how they were wearing make-up so they could "look cute while running", waterproof mascara, etc. I had to walk away from them quickly.

I usually put on moisturizer and some mascara before races. I don't wear much more than that and foundation on a daily basis. I could never wear foundation racing it would be a disgusting mess.
I think there is a really big difference in a full face of makeup, and a 1-minute routine to avoid looking like you've been hit by a truck.
I WILL NOT BE SHAMED! lol
I don't go out of the house without eye makeup--just a bit of eyeliner and mascara--unless I'm going into surgery. It's not about looking cute, it's about not wanting to die when I see a picture of myself and my accomplishments. I should feel proud doing active things and if mascara and eyeliner makes me vain, then so be it, but we weren't all blessed with perfect complexions or long thick dark lashes. No shame here!

YES, THIS!
Not to mention, what's wrong with wanting to look "cute"? People wear skirts running because they're cute. We know it's not a fashion show, but we should feel good about ourselves damnit whether its matching running outfits or mascara! Ok, stepping off soapbox now
I just hate the feeling of make up on me while I'm sweating.
I'm also coming from a different place. I have alopecia so I don't have hair (I wear a wig - even to race), eyebrows (they are tattooed on and filled in as needed), or eyelashes. I feel like I do enough just putting the wig and filling in my eyebrows. I'm too lazy to do anymore, lol.
Girls, let me tell you now that putting on makeup isn't going to make my pictures any better, because makeup won't keep my eyes open or get my duck foot tucked in or close my mouth while chewing gum.
