I wear tinted moisturizer with SPF and waterproof mascara. Sometimes my chapstick is tinted; it just depends on which one I grab before I leave the house.

Always my moisturizer with spf and sometimes a bit of bronzer. I'm a sweat monster though. If it were an evening race (and 5K-ish distance) I would keep any of my day makeup on.
I think there is a really big difference in a full face of makeup, and a 1-minute routine to avoid looking like you've been hit by a truck.
I WILL NOT BE SHAMED! lol
LOL! Hey now, no shaming here.
Of course there's a huge difference between what most of the people are saying here, and my friend that I mentioned (or the picture KITH posted.) LOL I run with girls who do a little eye make-up or concealer.
I just don't think it matters for me. I wipe my face a lot when I sweat, so I imagine anything I put on would last a total of 10 min. With that said, if I had an enormous red zit in the middle of my face, I would not be above the possibility of trying to cover it.
Girls, let me tell you now that putting on makeup isn't going to make my pictures any better, because makeup won't keep my eyes open or get my duck foot tucked in or close my mouth while chewing gum.
I love you. Let's drink & share race pictures. This is me exactly. Every photo from my last race has me mid stride with my screwed up foot &/or mid- blink, mouth hanging open, so it literally looks like I'm 1/2 sec from dropping dead.

Preach. I have exactly zero race pictures that would have been improved with eye make up.
I've actually upped my skincare game as of late. I see a visible difference in my skin w/o makeup. Still look like shit in all my race photos.

Yes, yes, yes this exactly! Â
P.S. I always miss all the fun when I'm not online in the evenings. Â Clearly people have pretty strong feelings about this.
What's funny is that the only people who feel strongly about this, are the people who wear makeup & are feeling defensive. Lol The people who answered no, don't really care either way. We're not saying "We're above caring what we look like," we're saying ,"We think we look like shit either way, so we don't bother."
I wear cute outfits. That's my attempt at feeling good & maybe liking race pictures. Still doesn't help.

Oh you definitely look cute in your race photos! I'm always jealous of your race outfits.
One of my running friends goes all out. It's ridiculous. She was spraying hairspray in her hair, fluffing up her ponytail, before a half. One of the guys said, "Did you see X after the race? She looked like a member of KISS." LOL
There is a girl in my running group who does this - and she bathes in perfume. She is actually making me faster because I can't run with her because of all the perfume. Breathing and running is hard enough as it is.
I do moisturizer with SPF and tinted Burt's Bees. I'm not a huge make-up person to begin with.

I think the defensiveness comes from the fact that there have been several posts over the years with "Omg this girl at the gym had on a full face of makeup, she must not be a real athlete." Or something of similar nature. There is definitely judgment when it comes to what people wear on their face or bodies when working out around here at times and those that wear make up are judged as not as athletic, serious, etc, as those who don't wear makeup.

Hells to the no. For any race, ever. I sweat way too much and wouldn't want to rub my eye and get an even bigger burn than what normally comes with the sweat.
Preach. I have exactly zero race pictures that would have been improved with eye make up.

Can I join? Because putting on a touch of makeup certainly doesn't keep me from looking like I'm about to keel over in my race pics. It does make me feel like I don't to other people...and then I see the pictures and I'm all "OH SHIT." But yet I keep doing it.
