I've been wanting to post a similar question but was too shy about it. So thanks for breaking the barrier.
I feel like I have to at least wear SOME makeup just to look normal. For races I usually moisturize well and then add bronzer, a little eye shadow, and mascara. I have done light foundation before. I am really embarrassed admitting this.

Never. If I was running an evening race, I might wear whatever makeup was already on my face from earlier in the day, but I never ever wear makeup for morning races.
I sweat a TON and I can't imagine wearing mascara. Do you wear waterproof? Or do you not sweat?

I cannot imagine that going well. I would end up with mascara down my cheeks and foundation/blush on my shirt after wiping off the sweat. I'll also say that I would laugh a little at someone wearing make-up for a race (assuming it was unlikely that you'd come from work or something where you were already wearing make-up), but then I would probably also be jealous of the cute pictures those people had vs. my very un-cute pictures.

It doesn't move, no raccoon eyes afterwards. Wore it for 4th of July midnight race in Florida. It was humid and gross out, mascara was perfect at the end.

OP: At the bare minimum I wear mascara. Sometimes I'll add a waterproof eyeliner but it's rare. I don't leave my house without mascara.

None, I sweat so much even my waterproof sunblock starts to run down my face. I usually wear a hat and sunglasses when I race - initially for sun coverage, but really to hide the ugly.
Half my races involve swimming (entirely or as a tri) so that'd be a makeup fail. For running it doesn't even occur to me. I don't take it off before evening workouts (or races in theory if I did evening races) but I'd never put it on for a race.
I may be unusual, though. Most peoples' "minimal makeup" involves mascara and/or eyeliner. Mine is powder and blush. That's all I wear most days. Eye makeup, especially mascara, really dries my eyes out uncomfortably. I've tried various kinds, no dice. It's on my "I need a reason to wear this" list.

I really need a swimmer to try my mascara. I want to know if it will hold up for hard core swimming. It does for me but I barely get my face in the pool when I'm lounging so I don't think that counts.

Usually not. I wear moisturizer/sunscreen and aquaphor. I *might* put on some under eye concealer and mascara if I were running with someone and didn't want to look like a zombie, but I don't see that happening.
Waterproof mascara, and sometimes it still disappears or ends up under my eyes. I sweat a ton but it's worth the risk to me. I'm totally vain, I'll own it.

No. If it's an evening race, I'll keep my eye make-up on as long as I'm not wearing mascara. I sweat like crazy and still have issues with acne at 40, so I don't like anything on me that could clog pores.
No makeup. Just sunscreen, and sunglasses to cover up my tired eyes.
Marathonfoto got one of me at my last race just before the start without my sunglasses and I thought for a second 'Wow I wish I had something on my face' lol.

I put on eye makeup - so eyeliner, mascara, and eye shadow. I just feel more like myself with it.
I sweat a lot too, but haven't had trouble with my mascara running. I use They're Real! By Benefit. It's amazing. I don't know if it's waterproof, but it's never been a problem.
I wear makeup pretty much never, so there is no way that I would ever wear makeup to run. Chapstick maaaayyybe. That's it. I don't own mascara though, so I am probably the wrong person to ask.
