Just a few random thoughts:
The scene with Ted saying how weird it was to see your crazy friend as a dad cracked me up. I can totally imagine feeling that way when some of our friends have kids.
Marvin's first outing was to McLaren's - perfect!
Victoria and Ted running off together? Weird. I'm hoping that one of them changes their mind.

Why, WHY do they keep bringing Victoria back? I loved her and Ted together, and I was sad when they broke up. I was even really excited when they brought her back the first time. Of course, that didn't work out. Why do they keep toying with my emotions? lol

Barney's magic tricks always crack me up and I totally called it that the box was going to have an engagement ring in it! So does this mean they're actually going with Quinn as the bride, or is there going to be another ridiculous twist?
So much going on! I hate the name Marvin. I wonder if it will now be a popular name to name you kid the way Emma was after Friends. I am not sure how I feel about Victoria. It might just work this time. And Robin!!! I am curious to see how they get the road to that.

Do we know for sure that the Robin wedding is the same as the Barney wedding? Couldnt there be two selarate weddings? And I cant believe that Victoria plannned to return to her wedding after offering to run off with Ted. I hope "wait for it" takes off as a middle name.

At the end I was hoping they'd do a crazy twist and have Victoria be Barney's bride because we know she doesn't end up with Ted, but no, they had to make it Robin.
All the finales are disappointing me this season. Maybe I'm just in a bad mood for it all.
OMG I LOVED Victoria's wedding dress! Loved the magic trick too thogh I prdicted it as soons as I saw the box. I like Victoria but it is so awful and out of character for Ted to do that on her wedding day after being left at the alter.
Did they ever say for sure that victoria was not the mother?

I didn't start watching himym until a few seasons in... How do we know Victoria isn't the mother?
I'm torn on the Robin/Barney thing. I really liked them together. And then when Robin backed out of breaking up with whatshisface when he took the leap to break up with Nora, I was pissed and didn't want them back together. I even liked Quinn. Ugh yeah, definitely toying with my emotions!

There was an episode called Lucky Penny in season ... er ... 2, I think? Or 3? Ted was dating Robin and he had a job interview with a big-shot architecture firm in Chicago. Through a chain of events with the whole gang, he missed his flight and therefore missed out on the interview and the job.
Future Ted said in a voiceover to his kids that it was destiny that he missed that interview, because then he wouldn't have stayed in NYC and wouldn't have met their mother, and the voiceover comes over a scene of Ted's wedding.
Ted had already met Victoria in season 1, so The Mother has to be someone that he met anytime after the Lucky Penny episode. Assuming that the writers don't just conveniently forget this point.
And then there's the points about The Mother being in the econ class at Columbia and being roommates with Cindy (Rachel Bilson) and also being at the Saint Patrick's Day party that Ted and Barney attended. I guess Victoria COULD have been the same girl, but it would be a stretch since she was supposedly in Germany during that timeframe, and also since she never mentioned to Ted that she saw him at Columbia or knew that he was dating Cindy.
Episode 1 was awful. "Waitforit" as a middle name made me want to punch them.
I agree, part 1 seemed to be lacking. Maybe it was because there were so many different stories being told, but it just didn't seem to flow well. Part 2 was much better, and as much as it was nice to see Quinn and Barney in a place where they were happy together, it never felt as if she was really going to be the one he ended up with. Especially with the talk Robin and Barney had in the apartment in the end.
Will be interesting to see what they do with Victoria, I also really like her, but as said above they can't use her as the mother.
I really like Quinn, and I like her and Barney together. I can't stand Robin and was hoping she wasn't the bride, but kinda knew it was coming.
Lily and Marshall were HELLA annoying with the "only come to us with something that's an 8 or higher". Ugh, if my friends with kids said that, we would not be friends anymore.
I'm meh re: Victoria. I don't care about her either way, but do think it's stupid to bring her in again when she's not the mom.
Ah! I knew it would be Robin. Her and Barney have such great chemistry. I thought so long before they even first hooked up.
I do have one tiny thing that irritates me. It's irrational and I'm embarrassed that this bothers me as much as it does but I will share anyway: why can't they give Robin hair extensions for these flashbacks?
She has shorter hair now but her hair was longer in all prior seasons. It makes me think these flashbacks are from when she was dating Kal Penn's character and I know that's not the case LOL
I'm still not 100% sure that Robin marries Barney. I think it could just be another crazy twist.
I actually like Quinn and Barney, seriously, how perfect is it for him to be with a stripper?
I wanted to slap Ted when he drove past the church at the end, they need to be done with this Victoria story line (I did really like her dress though, except for the shoulder thing, didn't care for that).
