Had a seriously awesome race at the Cherry Blossom 10 miler this morning! Unofficial time of 1:18:42 which is a 7:52 pace. I almost died the last couple of miles. But there was no slowing down.
My AW is not at all H&F related...it is that my H is a super awesome guy and he managed to totally blow me away this weekend even though he is 4,000 miles away. Can I AW about scoring a great catch for an H?

Congrats!
You can just AW your PR no need for an all inclusive weekend AW
Today I will AW the fact that I drug my ass out of bed to race after staying up too late to watch the badgers lose.
Also, felt and ran better than I deserved after the winter I've had. Told myself I was just going to nice and easy and ended up hitting 8:30ish pace for mi 2-7. Had no business running that fast which I knew the whole time and became painfully evident at mi 7. Still managed to drag my ass across the line under the 90 min mark.
Not my fastest, not my slowest, but I'm real proud of my performance today even though I didn't really earn it. Just got lucky.
I had a great 10 miler too at the Cherry Pit. I finished in 1:08:46 (6:53 pace). 70 second PR, 3rd F, and I won a cherry pie. One of the best 10 bucks ever spent.

Nice! I won a cherry pie at the desert dash at the auction last night! Lol! ETA: I had to run in heels!

I did 55 miles yesterday. A few of us split off from the group because we didn't want to do the full 66 (my back is killing me!). I pulled the boys in 6 of the last 8 miles into a headwind to keep our average speed 17.2++ mph!

Awesome job! You've really broken through that plateau and taken it to the next level this training cycle. That is speedy!
And that's got to be one of the best prizes ever. Enjoy!
I worked out on Saturday and Sunday (twice today-run and barre class) after seriously slacking over the past week. Hoping this will give me enough momentum to get back onto the bandwagon this next week.

Just finished our 10k in Portland. I got drunk real fast at the post race beer festival. So much fun! Here I am with little sis. Also with one of the beer trucks.
ETA: any idea what is wrong with my pics? Tried posting from the iphone app. p.s. still drunk.

PEOPLE I HAVE A HUGE ONE. You may want to sit down.
I won a open water SWIMMING race.
Just 1000 meters (although everyone's Garmin said it was long, mine said .7, which is 1126 meters). AND, that means (and so says my Garmin) that I was averaging 1:39/100 meters. That would be a 25 minute 1500 meter swim, and I definitely had a good 500 meters left in me.
I only won because all the fast people did the 2000 (two loops, such suckers) and considering I spent 20 minutes pre-race complaining that the course to looked to long, and that swimming sucks, and the water was cold, and swimming sucks more, I think it is hilarious I won. I laughed so hard i almost peed myself.

congrats! that is smoking!! Le sigh, I miss running PRs.
I won a blueberry pie a few weeks ago (not from running, but from DANCING, lol) and I have had a little slice for breakfast-dessert every day. It is almost gone now. That makes me sad (and happy at the same time because i think it's starting to show on my hips).
Beautiful spring day here, and BFF called to meet for a walk and lunch. I was proud of myself that I didn't use it as excuse to blow off my workout. I went for my run first (which was completely awesome, so thanks for that), and then walked with her and my dog.
In the past I would have taken any excuse to not work out, and I actually WANTED to. Who am I??!
I ran Cherry Blossom as well and was aiming for 1:40-1:45 (based on my training). I finished in 1:39, including a bathroom break. I'm stoked!
Here are a couple pictures: Baby's bib says MVB Most Valuable Baby on Board Est. Finish: 08:21:14. And a two sign for running for two.
The lovely Running for Two tank that a friend handed down to me, my wee bump, and my Cherry Blossom medal. If you wanted a medal, you had to pay extra for it, which I did since this was a special race. I actually like that because it kept the entry fee reasonable and you could add on what you wanted (a medal or a tech shirt).
