Ours didn't have a good install in the middle so DD is behind the passenger side. I find that it's easier to look back at her in the mirror on the opposite side (and replace the paci if I need to) than if she's right behind me.

DS was behind the passenger seat and DD will be behind the passenger seat, DS behind the driver's seat. There isn't space to put either of them in the middle seat in my vehicle.

Center. When we first installed it, we put it behind the passenger- it didn't feel like it was in there well in the center. But when my husband took it to be inspected, the dude said how it was in the middle was good and have us a few tips so we were able to move it back!
Ours are on the passenger side in both vehicles. In Hs truck DD seat was already in the center and it has a tight install so I didn't want to move it. It's also really hard to get a newborn out of the center spot where DD can climb herself. In my SUV it's on the passenger side because a middle install isn't recommended. DD is on the driver's side. The carseat tech told us it was just fine.
It was in the center until about 2 weeks ago, now it's on the driver's side. Now that he is getting heavier it was harder to get in and out of the middle.

Same here. Our infant seat was an older model that we got as a hand-me-down from my sister (don't worry, it hadn't expired!), so it also took up enough space behind the driver's seat that it would have been uncomfortable for DH, who does most of the driving.

Ours were always on the passenger side. Center had no LATCH in my car and seatbelt installation was not as secure as in an outboard position due to the shape of the seat. As pps have mentioned, passenger side was easier for keeping an eye on them/handing stuff back.
DS1 and DS3's infant seats were in the center. DS2's was on the passenger side because we didn't have the minivan at the time, and we couldn't get DS1 and DS2's seats installed next to each other (and didn't really want to, as I didn't want the 2 yo messing with the baby).
DD is behind the passenger seat, though now we have to change it to the center since they just passed a new law in this country requiring all baby seats to be placed in the middle. This makes me very mad since the attachments in our car are made for child seats to be placed on either side plus our middle seat is narrow and raised making it pretty unstable to put a child seat there in my opinion.

That's crazy! We can't put any carseat in the middle of H's car - there is no LATCH there, and it's narrow enough that the seat belt buckle would be underneath the carseat, which obviously wouldn't work. Add in the fact that H is tall and would have to pull his seat too far up to drive if the carseat was in the middle, and I'm glad that rule isn't in effect here!
we had small cars when DSs were in the infant seats/RF so we had to have the seat in front pulled pretty much up all the way. Having the carseat in the middle wasn't an option so we had the seats behind the passenger.
Passgener side in both. That's where the latch connectors are. Well I take that back, in my new car, there may be center latch, but at that point, I was used to her on the passenger side.
Check your car's manual. We could have done seabelt install in the middle, but I prefer the piece of mind with a latch install.

Center. We mainly used cabs though, and it was easiest to have baby in center with H and I on either side, and whoever was curbside would install/take out the carrier.
We put it behind the drivers side. I did a lot of parralel parking on one way streets and always parked on the left side. It was easier to not have to go on the busy road to get him out.
I don't miss city parking. He now sits behind the passenger seat.
We went a car seat check and they installed it properly in the center just with a seat belt. Our car does not have center LATCH.
We'll install the convertible at LATCH points on the driver's side.
Nosy question: why driver's side? A lot of our driving is within the city with parallel parking, so we've found passenger side to be easiest (I won't claim safest, since I don't know if there are stats to back me up), because we're loading/unloading E from the sidewalk. If he were behind the driver, we'd be doing it all on the traffic side of the car.
Infant and convertible seats installed outboard passenger side, mostly for the perceived safety reason I mentioned above. I'm not comfortable hanging out in traffic or walking DS around to the traffic side of the car if I don't have to. Our car's manual (2012 Subaru Outback) said not to install seats in the center position, but I've heard they changed that wording soon after.

Ours is on the passenger side. We had it installed in the center, but when DH brought the car to the car seat inspection, the inspector said that because we have side airbag curtains in the car and the seat is side impact rated, there is very little added protection to have the car in the center seat. It's easier to get it out of the passenger side, so it makes sense to put it there for us.
I've also gotten good a giving DD back her the paci from the passenger seat with her directly behind me.

I never had an infant seat in the middle. When A&A were babies, we had them behind the passenger and behind the driver. K first went behind the passenger, and then when A&A needed to be able to get out on that side in the school's drop off line, she got moved to be behind the driver, since she was still rear-facing and they couldn't get out that way. She will be moving to behind the passanger again, in Sept when she will need to be gotten out at drop off lane at preschool, and A&A can get over her seat easily now that she is forward-facing.
