I have no idea what my goal race should be. Last fall I didn't have one and it was kind of the pits. I probably won't travel that far, but that's beside the point.
Share your race(s) and inspire us all!
{I know a lot of you are doing the H&F gathering in Kiawah so December counts too.}
-Twin Cities 10 mile or marathon -Mankato Marathon (Minnesota) -Half or marathon near Madison/Milwaukee where one of my sisters lives -Monster Dash Half
Chicago 13.1 in a few weeks, Quad Cities marathon in Sept. I will probably try to sneak in another half or two over the summer too, but haven't registered for them yet

I am doing the Harrisburg Half (as a 2 person relay) and the Tussey MountainBack (also part of a relay team). The MountainBack is a ultra marathon with the option to run as part of a 2-8 person relay team.
Not sure about a half yet, maybe Navy/Air Force Half Marathon or do the Potomac River Run one in September. It seems there really aren't that many halfs in the Fall in the DC area. Any other ones that are good?
Air Force Marathon in September. It will involve a trip home to see family so it will be a good time. I have no idea what to expect time wise for this race this year. I suppose I'll see how my full goes next month and then set a goal from there
I will be hoping for a half PR after a summer of 13.1s that come at the end of 70.3s.
That should be the makings of a big PR! Are there many fall tris or does the season mostly end unless you live somewhere tropical?
There are plenty if you are willing to travel, and M-dot HIMs are going on year-round. But in upstate NY, we generally go Memorial Day to Labor Day, because water temp is too low much outside that range.
I know a few people from here who have done San Juan 70.3 which is in April-ish, and it seems hard to train for to me. Your outdoor riding is hugely limited at home by daylight hours and it being freezing, you can't swim open water to practice, and you're in for a huge climate shock from your training conditions when you arrive.
My A race will be kiawah full in dec. I'm shooting for a half in October. Probably the Gettysburg half (ran my PR there 2 years ago) and the NCR marathon as a relay in November. Those are more as tune ups for the full
Not sure - depending on how June goes, I might run the Oakland half August 16. But I'll for sure try to get into the Nike Women's half in SF again this Fall. But my main goal is to build a solid injury free training base for my first full next year (squee!)
