It's a little too early fall for me, but I think the course has changed since last year. It used to be in Sauk Rapids. I think.
Now that I look at the course I am not a big fan of all the turn arounds.
I did notice it last year. I wish it wasn't so early too. It's a bad time because it's usually late hay or silage time, and it can still be so hot. But, if it worked out I'd consider signing up last-minute.
I am doing the Harrisburg Half (as a 2 person relay) and the Tussey MountainBack (also part of a relay team). The MountainBack is a ultra marathon with the option to run as part of a 2-8 person relay team.
Hearing Tussey Mountain brought back memories of my skiing gym class at Penn State.

I was planning to do the Heritage Half, but it moved up a week and I'm supposed to do 20 that day. I might try and run it at marathon pace and then do 7 more miles.
brit - I guess so! Class of 01, baby (and I come from a long line of crazy nittany lions)!
Brit & ktzmoh - I'm currently working on my master's degree and I'm a "local" (born and bred!) so if you ever come up for a football game, let me know!
-Twin Cities 10 mile or marathon -Mankato Marathon (Minnesota) -Half or marathon near Madison/Milwaukee where one of my sisters lives -Monster Dash Half
I grew up about 25 minutes from here and have always wanted to go back and do that one! I see a ton of friends doing it each year and it sounds like a good one.
I'm doing what I think is a small 1/2, the Surfside Coasting the Coast on Sept 6. I have a feeling it's going to be brutal! Then the Texas 10 in Katy on Nov 2. I'd like to find another half local-ish to Houston for Oct/Nov, so if any of the Texans have any ideas...
I'm looking at Stockholm Half in September. Another GBCN'er is thinking about doing it too. Also, I'm considering returning to North Wales to do the Conwy Half in November. It's the one with the beautiful big run up a hill overlooking the Irish Sea. Here's the elevation graph...
Not sure about a half yet, maybe Navy/Air Force Half Marathon or do the Potomac River Run one in September. It seems there really aren't that many halfs in the Fall in the DC area. Any other ones that are good?
I like the Parks Half Marathon in MoCo, but it's not very flat, if you want a flat half.
DH ran the Air Force/Navy half last year and loved it.

Have you done the Heritage Half? How is it? $40 for a half is a great price, so it caught my attention.

I'm doing the running leg of the Augusta HIM in September. I'm also signed up for Space Coast. If my training goes well through the summer, I may sign up for a third half at the beginning of November. That's a big if. I'm trying to be smarter after all.
