Vents: the kids have been sick and I feel like a walking time bomb. If I get it, it better be after my LASIK.
Highlights: The pool is open I hit 50 miles last week and my Pfitz half training plan starts next week. I think I'm ready to tackle a Summer of 50-65 every week. Maybe...
So I am on a no running order from the dr since I have an achilles injury so trying to stay positive and hope I can run soon. I have my 1st PT session this week. I have an 8K on 6/21 and July starts my half training. Want to be 100% by then!
M: Rest T: Strength, Bike W: Spin Th Strength, Bike Fri: Spin + PT Sat: Bike Sun: Spin + Strength
Vents: feeling bummed and sad I can't run Highlights: More time to focus on Strength
M: 1 mile run, 1 mile walk T: 2 mile run W: hotel gym workout T: 2 mile run and then 2 mile walk F: Rest Sat: 3 mile run Sun: bike ride
I walked last week but did not do any runs which is not smart. I need to pack my workout bag and always have it ready, even if only for a 1 mile run.
My AW is that I am planning a trip Labor Day weekend for DH and ours 10th anniversary. I looked at our plans to make sure I get my long run in since I will be about 4 weeks out from my half!

I reinjured my hamstring yesterday, so I'm mad at myself today. I didn't do anything crazy or different, and last week was actually a fairly light week for me because I was on vacation, but for some reason my hamstring got angry while I was running yesterday. UGH.
What are you training for? date? Base building for MCM, 10/26
Training plan for the week? Not sure, because now I need to baby my hamstring. Probably something like: M: 14 mi, T: strength and stretching, W: rest? depends on hamstring, Th: strength and yoga, maybe spin F: light/easy jog if I can; otherwise, spin + yoga, Sat: some kind of run if I can
Any issues or vents? See aforementioned hamstring strain.
Highlights or AW's from the past week? I had a nice vacation, but it's hard to be back at work today.

Training plan for the week? Mon - 2.5 miles Tues - intervals Wed - rest Thurs - intervals Fri - rest Sat - 6-7 miles Sun - 5k Any issues or vents? pollen Highlights or AW's from the past week?
What are you training for? date? Springfield 5K this weekend! Hoping I can PR, it's a flat course I think. Potomac River Run Marathon 11/16
Training plan for the week? Mon - Rest, Tues-7M + Stretch, Wed-6 x 400 + 1.5 miles warmup/cooldown, Thur-6M, Fri-Rest, Sat-5K + 1.5 warmup, Sun - 14 miles
Any issues or vents?Had a great weekend, ate way too much yummy food, need to really work it off this week. It's going to be a busy week trying to fit everything in.
Highlights or AW's from the past week? Ran my first marathon pace tempo run. Only 4 miles (out of 6) at goal marathon pace, but it felt pretty good despite being a little hungover
What are you training for? date? ETA: 10K 6/29 &New England HM- Sept 28
Training plan for the week? M-Tempo run T-Cross train W-4 Miles speedwork TH- 3 miles shake out F- Rest S- 9 mile long run S-3 mile recovery run
Any issues or vents? everything is getting tight
Highlights or AW's from the past week? Ran my longest run yet last Saturday! 8.65 miles @ a 10:15 pace and I definitely could have pushed it longer/faster!
Peachtree RR (10K), July 4….maybe a couple of 5ks TBD
M - rest Tu - weights W - 4m Th - weights F - rest Sa - 5-6m Su - 3m
Vent - baby has been sooo clingy and only wants me these days. I have a hard time going out on a run knowing that she's screaming the entire time, and have been cutting my workouts short. I hope this is a quick phase!
AW - My run on Sat was under 9 min pace - and it was hot as hell too. I feel like I'm getting back to my old speed, slowly!
What are you training for? date? Ragnar Relay 6/6 & 6/7
Training plan for the week?
Monday: 7 mile run, 3 mile walk to baseball game Tues: rest or short run Weds: 5/6 mile run Thurs: Cross Train Fri: 5 mile run Sat: Insanity class, maybe some yoga Sun: 8 mile run
Any issues or vents? my pace has been slower with the heat and humidity - trying not to get too hung up on it b/c I'm just happy to be running:)
Highlights or AW's from the past week? had a good 7 mile run on Monday - trying to run consecutive days and my stress fracture has been holding up and hasn't been very painful
What are you training for? date? 5-miler in July, sprint tri in August, half mary in October
Training plan for the week? Running 3 days, walking 5 days, strength training 2 days, and then next week I'll start biking/bricks and hopefully some swimming. My goal this week is to get my long run in Friday since I'm away this weekend.
Any issues or vents? Yes. I'm less than thrilled about the sprint tri I've signed up for, mainly because the logistics of getting any swimtime in seem overwhelming right now. But- I'm doing it mainly to reconnect with a lot of my friends from high school (it's near the town I grew up in) so that will be huge. It's the type of thing that once I'm there I will have a ball, so I just need to stop whining and realize that crosstraining is good for me!
Highlights or AW's from the past week? I bought shorts yesterday in a size lower- yay! I'm about 3 pounds from my goal weight, but it's nice to see that even when the scale doesn't move things are happening.
Training for: nothing, really. Maintenance until the Houston half in January.
Schedule: M - lift, 3 mile recovery run T - rest W - yoga, 6 mile tempo run (supposed to be 800s but I don't think weather will permit and tempo is easier on the treadmill) Th - lift, 3 miles F - swim (oh, and I GRADUATE!) S - yoga, 6 miles S - 12 miles
Vents: It's supposed to rain here all damn week. I'm already tired of it. I have so much to do to get ready for the weekend, and I'm going to be largely stuck inside with two stir-crazy dogs.
Highlights: Managed to do my first actual long run in about 4 weeks, and the increasing heat really hasn't been affecting my paces much at all.
What are you training for? date? I'm reassessing. A 5K on June 7th, 10K in July and...maybe a marathon on June 21.
Training plan for the week? Monday - 10K with 2 tempo miles, Tues - off/maybe a few easy miles tonight, Wed - 5-6 miles @ marathon pace, Thurs - easy few miles, Friday - 18ish miles, Saturday - off, Sunday - easy run
Any issues or vents? I'm SO tired. Like overwhelmingly. I've had some late nights at work lately, but I hope nothing else is wrong. Hoping to get to bed early tonight. Maybe I'm still recovering from the marathon even though it feels like ages ago?
Highlights or AW's from the past week? I got in 15 miles between Friday/Sat and felt decent. Saturday's run was in 80 degrees and I didn't die. I'm acclimating!

What are you training for? date? Random 5ks, mayb some fall 1/2's
Training plan for the week?
TBD. Last week looked like this:
Mon: off Tue: off Wed: off Thu: 5.75 mi run Fri: 5.5 mi run Sat: 2 mi run, 45min ellipitcal Sun: 6.25 mi run, 10 min elliptical
Any issues or vents? So random, but I've developed a cyst on my left wrist. My best guess is it's from from lugging around the infant carseat (I do just about everything else with my right). Along with some other minor inconveniences, it's preventing me from lifting and doing push-ups.
What are you training for? date? I'm reassessing. A 5K on June 7th, 10K in July and...maybe a marathon on June 21.
Back it up here...which one are you looking at? I'm impressed you're feeling ready to do one again so soon, and your passion seems as strong as ever (DO IT. DO IT.)

It's a strange thing. The week after my race I wanted to do nothing, so I didn't. Now I'm feeling better about it all. (Aside from being strangely tired.) I'm looking at Grandma's in Duluth, MN. My cousin lives there, and I just found out she's also running.
I've wanted to run it for a few years, as it's beautiful along Lake Superior and it's Minnesota's oldest marathon. I've also made peace with the fact that I still may not break 4:00. (Which is most important.)
I have until May 31 to register...
Edit: I also feel like I "owe myself" another marathon this year, and I don't know that I want to keep training all hot summer for a fall marathon!

What are you training for? date? HM on 10/19, and I'm sure I'll add some things in between.
Training plan for the week? 2 miles tonight, Thursday and Saturday. That's it right now, I may add a DVD or something somewhere in there.
Any issues or vents? I had a 5k on Sunday and came in just over 42:00--like 3 seconds just over, which is my next time goal for 5k. I'm not too broken up about it though, I decided to sign up last minute and was running with a friend who had some issues, especially at the end, so I hung back with her until the last half mile or so. I'm feeling really confident that I COULD have done it, and it was more important to me to stick with her. Plus the results listed have my clock time, not chip (I was off to the side at the beginning and am thinking I must not have registered crossing the start or something) and the course was a tad short, so it wouldn't have been an official PR anyway.
Highlights or AW's from the past week? I guess my last answer was kind of an answer to this, too.
So, after deciding in April (after training from Jan-March) not to do the CBHM on June 1, I decided a couple of weeks ago maybe to do it with no goal in mind and walk the whole damn thing if I have to. With that said...I ran 10 HILLY miles this Sunday, with SOME walking up the hills, but I felt great! Cannot wait until this weekend's race!
What are you training for? date? CBHM this coming Sunday!
Training plan for the week? Sunday 10 miles, Tuesday crossfit, Wednesday 6 miles, Friday 4 miles
Any issues or vents? none!
Highlights or AW's from the past week? Just that 3 weeks ago I was in tears at running 3 miles, I was so miserable. I could NOT STOP SMILING on my 10 mile run this weekend

Woah you are awesome even considering another one so soon! Good luck!!
What are you training for? date? Governor's Cup Marathon 6/14
Training plan for the week? S -Rest M - 5 mile run T - 8 mile run W - 4 mile run Th - rest F - 12 mile run S - Stand up paddleboarding!
Any issues or vents? Nope
Highlights or AW's from the past week? I completed my 20 mile training run last weekend and felt great on it. It makes me feel ready for this race. Taper starts next week!!!

What are you training for? date? Metric Marathon 9/21. Plus a bunch of 5Ks and 10Ks throughout the summer. And my 'graduation' race from the 10K program is now set for 6/15.
Training plan for the week? M: Race- check! T: Group workout. Plan is for 5-6 miles of hills. W: Rest T: 7 miles F: Rest S: 10 mile group run S: 3-5 mile recovery run
Any issues or vents? Nothing! My ankle is feeling much better- I have been not threading my laces through the top holes. It's not ideal for the long term, but it's helping things to heal. And I am optimistic that my new shoes will help.
Highlights or AW's from the past week? Aside from my 5K PR ( ) , I went on a group long run with the local running club on Saturday. I know I have been a solitary runner, but I had so much fun. It was nice to chat with people I didn't know well, and the miles flew by. I'm really looking forward to this coming week's run.
What are you training for? date? Mountain bike racing. I have several XC and endurance races coming up.
Training plan for the week? Sat.-Ride Moto and run around photographing US Professional Cycling Time Trial Championships for 8+ hours, Sunday: 3 hour mountain bike ride, Monday: Ride Moto and run around photographing US Professional Cycling Road Cycling Championships for 12+ hours, Tuesday-hypothetically a hard group ride (will become a recovery ride if I am too tired), Wed.-Recovery Ride, Thursday & Friday-Off, Sat./Sunday-not sure. I may race
Any issues or vents? Riding a moto while taking photos, spending hours hopping off and on while taking photos, will make one very sore--more sore than you could think.
Highlights or AW's from the past week? I got a bunch of amazing photos....
