i'm about to get sucked in as a consultant because i want to buy #allthethings.
really, i wanted 8 wraps, which is $90, but the consultant is doing a really good job on convincing me that i should get something like 35 wraps for $300 if i become a consultant.
have you guys used jamberry? do you love it?
i absolutely do not plan on selling it. just like i do with mary kay. so...if you guys want to abuse discounts, let me know, i'm happy to do it for you
I tried a sample one - I liked it, sort of. It worked as advertised but my natural habit of picking still got the best of me and I lasted about 3 days before I finally gave in and peeled it off. (I only did one nail - I think I would go absolutely ape-ess crazy if I had it on all 10). I like the concept though and would try it again...especially at a discount!
oh whew. good. i told the lady that i would try my sample..and if i really did like it, i would sign up....h wants me to take "pre orders" so when i order my 35, i'm not eating the cost of all of it..and have people split it out based on what i like. my final cost sheet is at home, but i think it comes down to something like $7/sheet after taxes, discount, etc. so let me know which ones you want, if you do.
do you have a link for designs to choose from? ( I suppose I could google...but if you only have specific ones to choose from?)
should be everything on their website. i am thinking i will be signing up sometime this weekend..and then after i get my starter kit, place my first order in a week or so....so it'll be a few weeks, just headsup. i know you're not in a hurry, but just in case
I just recently heard about it and did an online party on FB. I won and got a free sample that I have on my toes right now. I only did my big toes and painted the rest b/c the pattern was too much for all toes. But I think if I did them on my fingers I couldn't handle it. Like LL I would be picking at it or something. But on the toes its not bad lol
Oh good I'm so glad you guys are open to the idea. Lord knows I don't need 35 sheets of these things...bc like dana86, I don't think I can handle patterns all around. I was really thinking of it as more of a fun accent nail thing.
Don't they have some pretty simple/plain ones also? I could have sworn in the past I saw that they have pretty simple ones along with crazy, colorful ones too.

Yeah they have plain too, so if the application style and durability are your thing, you can go for it...otherwise, you can get solid nail polish bottle for cheaper I would think.

True...and it really depends on base/top coat...but I've heard the jamberry's stay on longer than most polish (sometimes I get a week out of my polish). I'm interested in trying them....generally for plain colors or maybe the ones that aren't really wild and crazy. I'd probably do a print on one nail (ala party nail), but not all of them.
I just ordered some this week from a friend's online "party." I split the order with someone and chose hypnotic (tie dye; week just do a couple nails and paint the others)), a white/clear floral pattern (to use over polish so the color confess through) and galactic. I also liked the blue/green peacock one. Depending how I like them I might order some seasonal or gift ones in the future.
I tried it once and found it really hard and time consuming to put on bc my nails are short. Also the sides did not lay flat so that drove me nuts. They later a long time at least.

did you try over-polish yet? i want to buy the clear ones, but the instructions for application always say clean/bare nails.

dang..how short? i actually clipped my nails last night in order to prep for the sample i'm supposed to receive in the mail today!!
I'm interested in ordering too! I've been debating for a while, so if you sign up, I'm biting the bullet!
i've been stalking them for a long time, too. i was finally going to bite the bullet and buy it through my friends party..so i started *actually* picking out which ones i like, and there were just too many, that it was adding up! it made more sense for the consultant discount.

I have some picked out. I am a little bummed that they are only showing patriotic designs under the holiday tab. I wanted to order some for the upcoming holidays too.
(the black is my own crappy polishing job, and then the sticker i put on was the black with white dots/flowers)
what do you guys think? it was both easier and harder than i expected, but i was doing it rushed, so i think it could've been easier if i sat down and took the time to find my tweezers instead of just pinching it with scissors...and the scissors were not nail scissors, just office scissors. also, like ilovebed said, definitely harder to do with short nails..the filing process was hard. but overall, i really like it so far!
i re-did my math, and with everything, my signup fee, shipping, tax, whatever..the total comes down to $9.885/ea. i'm hoping to offload at least 10 sheets before i pull the trigger---can you guys commit to that? which ones do you want? i get 4 sheets just to start out..so the first 3 people to commit can get them with my first shipment (cause i'm totally picking one out for myself first, too ). let me know which ones you want, and i will start my order process today if possible.
i need to make 3 separate purchases in order to maximize all my discounts. after my initial 3 purchases, i'm happy to discount abuse any way that you would like..as long as you cover the costs (it's always 30% off, but you get bonuses etc for going over $100). i need to make over $600/yr to keep up my "status" for next year..so if we don't hit that, then i/we don't get it next year.
if we don't live near each other, if you don't mind taking scissors and cutting the sheets in half, i imagine i can just stick them in a regular envelope and mail it to you for 44 cents (instead of the obscene 3.99 fee they charge from the website).
yes ashleyp728, 4. @lauralynne have you picked out your 3 designs? Tiff let me know which one you want me to order first.
laura and ashley, let me know which one you want me to order with my first shipment--i can only get 4 with the first shipment (it's my starter kit), or i can order all of them together in my 1st official "order" (2nd shipment)..
i will PM you tiff with my paypal info, ashley and laura, i will text you! it's 9.885/sheet, and 44 cents (that's what postage costs these days, right?) if you want me to mail it to you. paypal as a gift/family/friend from your bank acct for no fees, or add paypal fees if you want to use a cc.
once you guys tell me which one to order *first*, i will officially sign up

I will do black chevron, midnight celebration, ombre polka and lollipop chevron. I would love the black chevron in the first order, but I can also wait for all of them to arrive if that's easier. I sent you postage via paypal, but I can also pick up. That's probably the better solution as I have the diapers from Sara still to give you (I know, bad friend award goes to me, I'm sorry!). So once they come in, we can arrange drop off. I am not in that area much anymore, but I can swing out there.
okay! it's official!! i'm a consultant. regular shipment takes 7-10 days, but the lady who conned me (convinced me) into signing up says starter kits ship faster. so we'll see. got the skinny pink, black cheveron, and curveball coming for you 3.
if you guys want more, lemme know, because i still don't need 30 sheets

I am sure I will want more, once I see them and use them. I am really hoping they have some holiday stuff (other than just 4th of July) coming available soon so I can have them ordered and ready
