i promise to start at least one thread this week in order to wake up this board. i want this board to be a good resource for moms and moms to be. it can be about a car seat, stroller, diapers, milk, sippy cups, toys, books, picnics, date nights, parks, pens/markers/paint, your baby's hair. anything. but i promise i'll start at least one. and that's not a lot to ask.

how old is baby and/or how old is your bump? 7 weeks today.
last dr appt, next dr appt? Next appointment is Tuesday.
What's exiting this week? Well he's staying awake longer and is actually pleasant when he's awake. Not just screaming for food he is so very smiley when I talk to him and he is starting to talk too which just melts my cold heart. Also I weighed him yesterday when I picked up my pump. He has gained four pounds in the five weeks since we stopped supplementing him...He weighs 12 pounds! Tell me he isn't going to grow like this constantly?
Also I promise to help the board out..min fact I'm on my way to do it now...
No baby yet! I want him to come next week, anytime after my mom gets here on Tuesday to watch G. Though I'm ready to be done being pregnant now...38 weeks, 4 days -> 10 days left until my due date. Almost in single digits! I'm sitting at the midwives' office right now waiting for my appointment. I'm excited for a massage on Saturday and for my mom coming on Tuesday. And hopefully a baby soon?
In other news, they want to move G up to the next room at her daycare already. Apparently on Monday they sent her with the older kids for the day and she went horseback riding, swimming, and to cooking class with them. They didn't realize that she's still almost 3 months from being 2.5 (they thought she was nearly 3) so technically she can't move up full-time until October. Now they know how young she is, she won't get to go horseback riding again until she's older (I'm simultaneously disappointed for her and relieved about that one -- and I wish I got a picture from Monday), but they'll continue to sometimes take her with the older kids when they have a lot of toddlers for the day and include her in swimming and pretty much everything else. The pic below is from her Mommy&Me gymnastics class we're doing Saturday mornings with ilovebed and BLB. She's getting so big so fast!

Hi there - Sorry I've been MIA! Things have been busy for me lately, and I lurk a lot. I just haven't posted that frequently.
DS is turning ONE in less than a week! Crawling like a mad man, pulling up, working on balancing, stacking rings on that fisher price ring stacking thing, saying a word that represents "Dog", has 8 teeth, eating lots of solids, transitioning to whole milk during the day, sleeping better at night, and is still hilarious. We are having a birthday party on Saturday with family coming in from the Midwest (Grandma, grandpa, aunt and uncle), plus family locally and friends from PEPS. They start arriving today. The theme of the party is Dogs...his favorite!
mrslefty - who are the other babies? that's crazy that little h has met so many babies already. my boy has only met a baby younger than him once in his life.
shevacc - that daycare sounds amazing...i'm so jealous! should i be taking bjl to these types of events? (horseback riding and cooking class!). that sounds pretty amazing.
stretchad - so glad to see you here! can't believe he's almost 1! that's a beautiful picture!!

If it weren't included as part of her daycare, we certainly wouldn't be! Though she loves helping me cook at home.
I do enjoy our Mommy&Me class quite a bit, if you're into that sort of thing...but admittedly we're doing it partly since I thought it sounded fun (for me). I'm also hoping to stick with it once baby boy is here so we continue to have a fun special time together just G and me.

h does a daddy/me class, but they're off for the summer. he likes it..but i've been to it before, and i think it's really lame lol. it's mostly dad's standing around talking, while the kids play...which is fine..but it's not amazing things. there are toys, and there's music time, but the rest of it...meh. they paint..i guess it's nice to not clean that up. but i still think it could be better.
jennlin they are my coworkers' babies. Left to right they are 3 weeks old,5 weeks old, and 6 weeks old.
wow, your work must be hurting with all these babies born at the same time! ----you're a teacher though, right? so at least it's good time.
Next year the middle baby's mom and I will be gone until Thanksgiving, the youngest baby's mom transferred to a different school. It should be interesting since we have to hire another teacher at my grade plus a sub. Luckily there are two old teachers in my grade too.
baby boy is a little over 9 mos, and bjl is almost 30 mos old. i can't believe it....btw, i think i'm at my limit. 29 mos sounded fine. 30 mos sounds like i'm holding onto my baby very tightly. and great..now i'm tearing up. she's not a little baby anymore is she? how and when did this happen???! why can't she stay little forever?
we had a pedi appt for boy on monday, and he's still 30ish%ile. he's gaining fine, but it makes me sad that he's small, and bjl was big. he's also low on iron, which is weird for bf babies, and he is behind in his speech, but the rest of his development is fine. but yeah. i feel like poo because of it. pedi says we need to spend more time talking/playing with him..and i feel bad bc bjl demands so much attention, he often just gets held while we "ignore" him and play with bjl...he doesn't get as many as the games we used to do for bjl and definitely none of the 1 one 1 attention.
their next appts are at 1 yr and 3 yrs. *cries* my babies. so big.
milestone wise. boy does say mamamamamamamaaaaaaaa but i don't think he means it. he occasionally says babababa..but again, doesn't mean it...he still does mostly baby noises "ahhhhhh", "ungggg" and lots of varying raspberry noises.
bjl talks, and makes up stories, and has a good imagination. she was playing with scissors the other day, and we asked her what she was making, and she said "clothes for baby brother", and then put some cut up paper on his head lol. she also knows how to dry eyeballs, a mouth, and hair for faces now......and now all of her drawings have officially turned creepy lol.

last dr appt, next dr appt? Tomorrow afternoon.
what's exciting this week? My looming due date! It's on Saturday. I fully expect her to be late, but a girl can dream.

That's a bummer. Isn't the point of those classes for the dads and kids to interact??

Yeah!! I should make him do swim lessons or something with her where he's forced to interact.....but actually him and bjl are fine. It's him and the boy that need work.
We went to the mall yesterday for cafe rio taco Tuesday!! (Side note, delicious and cheap). There was a reeeeeeallly long line, so h said he'd wait in line with the boy while I take bjl to the play area around the corner. We both didn't have our phones coincidentally. I went back about 20 mins later...and the poor people that had to wait next to them...apparently boy screamed and cried the whole time. He was fine once I got there.

Ours is gymnastics so it's slightly structured running around climbing over and under stuff, plus some introduction to bars, beam. And most importantly jumping on the trampoline at the end.
I gave up months at 24 . She'll always be my baby, no matter what I call her.
E will be one on Friday! Planning party this weekend, 12 month check up and shots Friday, and getting closer & closer to walking.
Sorry, too much shot going on to help keep this board active.
ETA: he also has 10+ teeth b/c two molars are through the skin and two more are trying. And I bought organic while milk yesterday and I'm gonna try it out tonight! I am SO excited to bed one with formula!
I think we all want to quit our jobs and enroll in this daycare. It's where BlB goes too. They are in the same class. Blb hasn't tried horses, swimming or cooking yet but she's still in diapers and younger than G.
Blb is more wild too. G will sit politely at he table during snack and Blb has to be restrained in a high chair bc she gets up and tries to eat everyone else's food. lol.
I love that gymnastics class too. We had a lot of fun on Saturday. I'm sad there is only one class left. Do you know if there are any more Saturday classes for the rest of the summer shevacc ?
I'm still hanging on to my sanity by a thread. Blb is so sweet and snuggly one minute and then a little monster the next! H and I are working hard at being consistent with our rules but also trying to stop creating so many battles and let things go sometimes. H also says that Blb only acts like that around me. When I have choir he says she's a different child. What's that all about?
I'm also sharing a picture from gymnastics. It's hard to catch her not moving these days.
My kids are huge and getting to big lol M is 3 1/2 andJ is 7 months.
M has started getting a teenager attitude that has me terrified for when she actually is a teen.
J is working on her moving around in her walker and truing to figure out how to crawl forward and not just backwards. I also swear she cried momma yesterday but not sure it counts. I really want to tell H she did just so I can get one kid first word lol

I can't believe these pregnant ladies are about to pop. Those were some fast pregnancies!
Things are not OK, but I don't want to talk about it here.
I started back at my old job a few weeks ago. It's pretty chill and not stressful, but less time to waste on the Internet (they're watching!). It's also nice to have a paycheck and some stability.
