That's a bummer. Does anybody have some kind of foundation/BB/cc cream that is moisturizing? Or am I shit outta luck in my attempt to not have to add a day moisturizer to my routine?

My skin is not really dry to start, but I like this BB cream that is supposed to help maintain moisture. It is very light coverage though. Dr. Jart Water Fuse BB Cream

I use Jouer Matte Moisture tint, but they also make a Luminizing Moisture Tint if that is more your thing. It is sort of foundation-lite for me: more coverage than any other tinted moisturizer I have tried, but not a real foundation. It also has SPF, so it is an all in one product for me.

Does anyone want to help me figure out my makeup for our Ball next month? Product recs and tutorials are welcome! I'm wearing a scarlet red gown, and I have fair skin, brown eyes, and dark blond/dirty blond hair.

Challenge accepted! But I need time to ponder and prepare.
ETA: Jewelry?
ETA2: Are you wearing a real ball gown or a cocktail dress?

Do you find it's moisturizing at all? That's mostly what I'm after. And coverage, of course.
What kind of skin do you have? I have oily and wouldn't call it moisturizing. In fact, it takes a little work to blend and has more of a matte finish for sure. When I used to use it I would add it into another product to get it to spread evenly.
It tends to be dry, but if I moisturize I end up breaking out, particularly on my chin. And it starts a vicious cycle of trying to dry out the pimple, then making it too dry, and needing to moisturize.

cattledogkisses, you could also go for a more vintage look, winged black liner with a red lip. You'll want to stay classic red as not to clash with your dress.

I found this in my pinterest search and really like it. You could do a combo - soft smokey eye with red lip. The golden one I posted the pic and link to with a red lip would be fantastic.
I've been trying to post my FOTD all day, but the app kept crashing.
Smokey eye challenge with my glasses unfortunately in the way: Armani Eyes to Kill quad #11 on eyes, Bare Minerals Ready blush in Indecent Proposal, Chanel lipstick in Allure, and Armani Maestro foundation.
Had to make an emergency trip out of town to help MIL out (she's sick, it's not good). Anyway, the good news is that the Hourglass blush palette has made my travel makeup cases so much lighter. It's got a good range of color. I do not need to pack five blushes like I did the last time we came down.
I think I want to get her makeup for Christmas. I think it will boost her spirits and help her feel good. She's a natural redhead and continues to dye her hair that color. Cool skin. What's a good blush and/or lipstick?
