My input on palettes: It Naturally Pretty is gorgeous. The colors blend like a dream and they're pretty unique. I don't really using the transforming pearl personally... if I want shimmer, I choose a different palette because other brands do it better than It does, IMO. But for mattes? They're amazing.
Now, as for Lorac Pro/Nakeds/Chocolate Bar: I'll continue to recommend Lorac Pro over Naked because there are a lot of dupes between the them, and I feel like Lorac's combination of matte and shimmer plus range of color make it a little more versatile.
As for Chocolate Bar, I have mixed feelings about it. It's unique, but it's not. The colors are all neutral, and at first glance there's nothing special about it that I couldn't replicate with my Lorac or Naked palettes. But when I actually swatch them, the differences are pronounced enough to make it just special enough. I consider it to be more similar to my TooFaced 9 pans- a fun set but not what I would consider an "every day holy grail I'd take it to a desert island and be happy with just that one" type of palette.
ITA with the bolded! Chocolate bar was my first amt palette and I was wowed by the quality compared to cheaper ones I had tried in the past. I don't reach for it much now because it is so warm though and I hadn't figured out that part yet!
forreals, you look like you have glowcam going on. Always lovely. Thanks! I hit particularly good lighting this morning
OK y'all, I think I need to pare it down.
I have bought the following palettes in the last month: Lorac MegaPro (already used so will be keeping) Love this one so much! Smashbox cherry smoke-undecided if keeping UD vice 3 (returned already) UD smoked-looks nice, thinking I'll keep...maybe IT naturally pretty- lovely colors, should I keep? Yes! I think it is super versatile. Clinique Black Honey palette-it's tiny! but pretty colors.
I already have Lorac Pro 1, TF chocolate bar, Naked 2 (doesn't get much use), LM artist palette from last year, Naked Basics 1, Smashbox master class II. My biggest regret of not finding makeup sooner is that LM artist palette from last year!
How do I decide? Do i just compare the new ones to the ones I have and if there's too much redundancy, return the new ones? Or just say eff it to my kids' college funds and keep them all. Keep them all! Mostly because UD smoked was cheap and cherry smoke gets so much love here. If I could pull off warm colors better I'd be all about it.
Oh, and I'm sure I'll be having the same dilemma with the lippies I've ordered lately....
I think you are being too hard on yourself. I don't really see dark circles I either picture.
Yea maybe. I got medical stuff going on. I had someone at work say my circles were darker and others say I look exhausted. Thanks a lot?
That's very rude! What a-holes.
I really like the $2 elf under eye powder. I use that to set the bare minerals stroke of light. The elf powder diffuses everything going on under my eyes, makes them soft, and bright. Don't know how else to describe it.

Oh wow. I need that have you tried BM well rested powder? I wonder how it stacks up. I can't wait to pick this up! Especially for a cheapy product.
I haven't tried well rested but I've tried their other powder concealers. The elf one is way different. It's got shimmer in it but I don't think this translates as shimmer under the eye. I think it's a dupe for some Laura mercier secret under eye something something.
The elf container is really bad tho. No sifter. :/
Eta: and don't use the brush it comes with; no bueno.

I didn't say it in my reply but I agree, I don't think they're that bad. I understand though, I have such thin skin under and on my eyelids that the skin there is really dark and if I don't wear concealer +/- eyelid primer, I get a lot of "you look tired" comments.

Ugh, You're an enabling enabler who enables! Not helpful, lol!
If so you can have mine. PM me your address. I had allergic reactions to most of the colors.
forreals, how lucky are you?!! I love that palette, the colors are so pretty and the quality is so good. I'm pretty sure I'll be repurchasing African Violet once I hit pan.
I got my ipsy bag this evening. While interesting, I still feel like they do not read my profile. I am WHITE and PALE. I got the undereye concealer in neutral medium. AND the packaging and my bag was open. I hope out mailman is not into makeup. He already reads DH's gold prospecting and gun magazines.
Lipstick is UD Liar. When I saw the swatches this is one of the colors that almost stopped me from buying the set. I am generally not a fan of nudes. However this has a lot more color to it than I expected and I really like it. Unfortunately I left it at home so I'll have to switch to something else.
Eyes are Chocolate Bar. I think I am in the minority in that I never know what to do with this palette. I feel like all the colors are a bit dark and I never know what to put together.
I realized this morning that I am getting that foundation line along my jaw. Stupid season change causing me to get paler. I guess I need to find a new foundation for the winter.
