I really don't know. I haven't researched BC methods bc I'm currently trying my darnedest to have kids. We will probably use some type of bc for at least a few months after having our first, but I'm not sure what kind (but def not just FF bc my cycle will probably be wonky after having a baby)
I have used it as bc coupled with condoms during fertile times for the past 6 months.
I can't use hormonal birth control (thanks to a post-partum pulmonary embolism in October) and have a latex and metal allergy, which greatly limits (cripples) the bc options available to me.
This is my first cycle (since TTC #2) using it to TTC. I was actually pretty impressed with how well it mapped out my cycles.

I have strongly considered it. After my trouble TTC this time around, I don't think I'd be upset if there was an accidental pregnancy. I know I don't want to be on hormonal BC.
I have no desire to ever go back on birth control, so if all goes according to plan we will probably use it in between baby 1 and baby 2. After that DH volunteered to get snipped.

I am not sure what I am going to use but BCPs are a definite HELL no! You're always told that they don't do anything to your body and that once you are off of them they are out of your system yet on this board alone there are a bunch of women who need to wait what seems like forever for their bodies to regulate again... No thank you. However, I will not commit to 4 am alarms for good, so I'll have to do some research lol.
Yes, I'm using it now to TTA. We use condoms before O because my cycles are irregular (hello CD 51) and none after O. DH has an allergy to latex so we still have to address that.
I'm not too worried about an accidental pregnancy & FF is only good for telling you after you've O'd.
I believe TCYOF has a formula for the pre-O non-fertile days. Basically, you have to have charted like 10 cycles before you use the method. I imagine if you have irregular cycles it wouldn't be a good idea.
I doubt it, I'm getting older and I want more than one kid, so we probably won't use BC again until we're done having kids, at which point *snip snip* for H.

I used it to TTA for the past couple years. We would start using condoms from around CD10 until after O was confirmed through temping. So for a little time at the beginning of the cycle and the last 2 weeks we were condom free. FWIW, I've never ovulated before CD20 since I've been doing this, so starting at CD10 is a really conservative precaution for us. I can definitely see sticking with this method to TTA after children.

This. I would only consider BC once we were 100% we are done.
I think I'd keep using FF to track my cycles while TTA in the future, though we'd probably use condoms as back-up.
DH says he wants to get snipped after baby #2 but I wouldn't be up for that until I'm in my late 30s or early 40s to be absolutely sure we are finished having children. (Not that women can't have children at those ages, of course, but we'd prefer to be finished having children by our mid-late 30s.)

I can't use estrogen-containing BC anymore (got a DVT after my c/s), and I'm not comfortable with the possible complications of IUDs, so we'll probably use condoms and some sort of FAM (ditching the condoms after O has been confirmed) until we decide whether we want to go with a more permanent option.
