Ugh, I'm not ready for a blizzard! Apparently this one was supposed to go south of us but is now expected to slam New England from Monday night through Wednesday. They are saying 16-24" for most of eastern MA. Ugh, I just hope it is cleaned up by Wed since I have to be in the office that day.
I was flying out Tuesday morning for a work event in Florida BUT just switched my flight to tomorrow morning so I won't have to miss the event:) Now I just have to keep my fingers crossed that I can get back to Boston Wednesday!

We went to Ikea, the grocery store, and the liquor store today. I never want to go anywhere again, heh. Fortunately, H got the snowblower up and running before yesterday, so we should be set. Work can be a wild card, but I suspect they may actually close this time. (During one of the storms last year, it was only us and MIT that were open.) If not, I'm playing the pregnant commuter card, and taking a personal day.
I'm feeling irrationally panicked by this coming storm. I just can't deal with 2 feet of snow. That's what they are forecasting for our area. I am not sure if I am going into work Monday for a half day or not, I don't want to have to commute home in the snow. I can work at home, only if we keep the power on.
I looooooove snow and always want more! The only bad part this time around is that DH will be on business travel Mon - Wed, which means I have to use the snowblower on the driveway. Oh, yeah, and I hope he can make it home... That too. I'll work from home if the roads are bad.

I'm banking on a snow day for Tuesday! My office is pretty good about closing in weather like that. I did have some tests scheduled with my OB Tues afternoon but I'm going to call tomorrow and reschedule.
Fortunately we're in a townhouse so we'll be plowed out, so we'll only need to shovel around the cars and H has already vetoed me shoveling in my "delicate condition". Whatever, I won't argue!
Well I could really use a snow day (or two) so I can work on my master's thesis, so I'm ready. Unfortunately we have no food so I will have to grocery shop after work tomorrow.

We're loving it! H works from home anyway and I have no place to go (except Bloc which is always open and easy to get to even in a blizzard.) Chances are school will be cancelled Tuesday so the kids and I can go have fun in the snow.
I'm assuming we can both work from home on Tuesday, but I'm really worried about the power going out. They say if there are outages they will be long. I can deal with the snow, but no heat and no hot water is tough.
We stocked up on food today, H tested the fireplace and got the snowblower ready. I think we're as ready as we can be!
I'm excited for snow! I will be happy to work from home on Tuesday. My landlord is horrible about shoveling though so that sucks. I have plenty of food in the house for myself though so bring it on!

I will work from home based on the weather forecasts and same with DH. I have some stuff to do but not a full day which means I'll probably end up going in on Saturday for a few hours.
When this happened last time I was working (as a nurse in a nursing home) and the next shift didn't show up so it was a mandatory double shift plus I had to then spend the day there sleeping in an extra bed haha. Not working this week (I'm part time now) and I'm so relieved!!

And I should say that the city of PVD has already declared a parking ban starting at 7 pm Monday night, until further notice, which means for sure I don't have work on Tuesday.

I just went to make my morning shake and realized I'm out of peanut buttwe. I'm going to stop at CVS I think on the way in to avoid the grocery store madness

The only thing that excites me about this storm is that the bad part of it is going to be during the day time. I love watching big storms, but get so annoyed that the majority of the time, the snow happens over night so you're just waking up to a bunch of snow.
We went shopping yesterday (which we do on Sundays regardless of any storm) and it took us over 2 hours to get in and out of market basket. It typically takes me 45 mins. Place was an absolute shit show.
DH and I are both planning to work from home tomorrow. DD will for sure have off, maybe even Wednesday. My company's home base will likely be shut down, too, everyone will be home with their families, LOL.
I hope one of us has some time to take DD sledding. She's aching to go.
We're thinking of offering our house as shelter to our 2 college babysitters. They might gut it out at the dorms, but we're going to offer anyway.
We just got the announcement that we'll be closed tomorrow and even have early release today but I don't think anyone from my office is going early. There's too much to do to prep for the snow day tomorrow with the residents. As it is I've got to brave BJ's to pick up some supplies for our staff.
I'm really hoping for a snow day, it would make my first week back to work much nicer. But if not, I'm planning to work from home.
I can't believe you're back to work already!
It really has flown by. I've been doing pretty well today and just called to check in on the babies and sounds like they are doing fine as well. I'm enjoying the adult company but am definitely missing them like crazy.
