I'd like to officially whine - I don't like the MUB. I miss the MUT.
There's just too many topics that I'd be happy to skim through quickly as posts in a larger thread, but as separate threads they aren't interesting enough for the second click for me.
I posted this in MUT 4 but I thought it was a particular egregious use of product by someone who may or may not even be old enough to vote.
Because what you want to do in the heat of summer is pile all sorts of stuff on your skin, right? OMG
I'm familiar with Ingrid Nilsen because of the show Threads, and I have no clue how she got to be so popular. She just doesn't appeal to me. Just for fun, I clicked on this and not only died at her hideous hair but LOL at all of the comments asking her WTF she was thinking.
ETA: "Sorry to say but you kinda look like that transgender woman from shrek"; "it would probably look better if you left some hair hanging so it looks more like a braid crown than a mushroom cap"
I haven't watched this but if it's the double braid pinned up, I love this look and do it sometimes on the weekend. Am I totally lame now?

maybe I just don't like makeup enough.
This is why I started a MUT randoms thread over here,
I die at how much foundation and concealer they use. It's appalling. I maintain that 98% of them film their tutorials, spend 10 minutes snapping selfies for IG, and then wash it all off except for a bit of mascara and lipstick.

What kills me is that the actual MAKEUP look is adorable and very summer appropriate - I like her use of the shimmer block thingy as eye shadow. I think that's a good idea. But lord almighty are you KIDDING ME with using a mattifying treatment, and a primer, and a bb cream AND a full coverage powder foundation?

Do you mean the double braid going up the sides of your head to the top of your head? No, that's adorable. She does a braid around the front of her head like a headband and it looks like she needs to slap a logo on it and go play tennis. It's just sitting way too low for her face.
She's reviewed a bunch of these, and seems to love them all.
I wish the packaging didn't scream 1993. Or Grandma on Easter Sunday. Or TJ Maxx home goods department clearance item.
I really like the look of these as well, and I'm almost a fogey so I think I will buy one. I also got an email from Sephora that Rouge get first access to them.
Rimmel Match Perfection is a good dupe for Benefit Hello Flawless. I've been playing with both for a week and I think I can safely say this. I compared classic ivory (Rimmel) to ivory pure for sure (benefit).
The Benefit is slightly yellower and I think maintains a longer dewy look but it is $36. It's a great foundation and I love it.
The Rimmel had a funky perfumy smell that triggered a headache in me that was already hanging out under the surface. But this has not happened since that initial first opening and I don't notice the smell anymore and certainly not at all when on the skin. It's $30 less than the Benefit.
Both look pretty much the same on the skin and blend out great. They both have the same light/medium coverage. I'm assuming both can be built up but I don't because I like the coverage with one application.
In the US, it seems the Rimmel shade range is not great (have to go to the UK to get more shades). Also the bottle has no pump which is annoying. Benefit had a great shade range and the bottle comes with a pump.
Benefit claims to be free of certain ingredients like Parabens. Rimmel does not but I didn't see parabens on their ingredient list.
TL;dr: if you are looking for a nice dupe for Hello Wow, Match Perfection is not a bad way to go. $36 vs $6 is a big difference that does not translate into a big difference in quality.
I gathered up my samples so I can meet Vespasia today and dump them in the sample box. I had a ton of perfume that I've been trying out - which has mostly been divided into "no I hate this" and "sure I'll use this up" but I realized that there were two I hadn't even tried yet. So one of them I sniffed in the bottle and it was a solid no for me. The other I sniffed and it seemed nice, so I put it on and left for the morning. It's only 8:40 and it's already given me a headache. DAMMIT. And of course all the soaps in the bathroom are scented, so I'm afraid to try washing it off because what if it lingers and combines with the Bath and Body Work Wild Hawaiian Ginger or whatever the fuck is in there today and then I smell like sweet musky death?
I just put a layer of Aquaphor over my wrists in the hope of damping it down. I can't decide if that's even vaguely logical.
